Hi. I just noticed that my G3 gives visual feedback when you press an apps icon on the main screen and the app drawer. If I'm not wrong, it was not like that about 2 hours ago.
How can I get rid of the visual feedback when I press ing an app/ icon?

Just added some pictures so you guys can have an idea of what I'm talking about!
Mine has always done that
O.k. let me put it this way: is there a setting to turn that big box or square into just a glowing animation or maybe nothing? I don't want to root yet and even though I love the Google now launcher (just upgraded from a Nexus 5) I like the G3's launcher features. So my goal is to explore and enjoy the stock launcher as much as I can, beside, LG with their new UI has giving me the feeling that being skinned is not so bad after all...
Hey I know this is normal, but why can't the icons just behave like the ones above the nav bar that just kind of glow when touched??? Does anyone know how to make this different???

Exactly my point! Thank you for understanding my question! Anyway apparently there's no way to change that other than rooting or with a different launcher... Problem is that I like the G3's launcher and don't feel like rooting

Your welcome I also like the launcher and use it but I am indeed rooted and have done some nice things through it, mostly with G3 tweaksbox. But do you know how I can change this box thing with root access without using another launcher???

Personally I don't. I've read about it, don't remember where though. I don't have anything against rooting, is just that I change my phone very often. The last phone I kept for 2 years, rooted and flashed roms was a droid 2 lol. I used to love it!

I just rooted the G3, got myself the G3 tweaks box, have done some customization but haven't been able to get rid of the visual feedback when you press an icon-app on the home screen (see 1st post attachments for pics).
Is there a way to get rid of the feedback or just change the animation with tweaksbox?
Now that I'm rooted I'm willing to try other methods as well. As long as is not flashing a Rom or some crazy mods since I like the G3's UI.

A couple of new betas but no fix yet. I've even themed( just a few things cause I love the g3s theme) my phone using the g3tweaksbox, love it! I knew it was a great app since the beginning so I went for the paid version. @P_Toti is very busy working on his new official release but if my request is in that launch a donation will occur.

Yes, it is indeed a great app, I've got the paid version too ? and have also themed only a bit! I guess we have to be a bit more patient but I sure hope to see a real fix via the updated playstore app very soon, would be awesome ?

Another I'm not sure why in the hell AT&T or Samsung did this. Its pretty annoying, I'm pretty sure we know that we are wifi, and you guys do not need inform us the ENTIRE TIME...anyway...
Flash in recovery. I have tried to test every aspect of the Settings since decompiling to make sure there are no FC's so If you encounter any please let me know.
This should work with or without being de-odedex. However please delete the "SecSettings.odex" file in /system/app after flashing.

Thanks man! Very annoying "feature" I noticed coming from stock Rogers ROM. Do you know if you'll be working on something similar to remove the carrier logo in the notification bar as well? It's also another thing I noticed coming from the Rogers ROM

On the stock ROM it didn't work until I deleted the secsecurity.odex file. Works like a charm now - thanks so much for solving one of the most irritating minor annoyances on this phone!
Sorry for being a NOOB, But base on the instruction, after flashing it, we are to delete the SecSettings.odex file in system/app.
After flashing it with TWRP, I went into ES File Explorer to look for it and cant find it.....Am I doing something wrong?

Notification is still there....Just tested it by turning off the wifi and on again...got the notification. Ugh.

Are you running an odexed ROM or de-odexed? I have determined you need to be de-odexed.

I wish you well. I had to removed xposed and g3 tweakbox and flash a stock file then start all over cause nobody had an answer. Good luck

Not everyone has it and the ones that do if the have it have modded it so they may not recall. Like I said good luck. In the end you might have to go stock and screenshot before you touchy touch lol

Well, the thinget with people edge is that it can only be turned off from within settings. And not something that I can force. So right now, no sorry it does not but I like having one app with contacts and one for my apps
Nice effort, but I too has the same problem as jaythenut, went to add stock clock as first shortcut and the widget stopped working.

Guys, i found the problem and fixed it. Im currently waiting on it being uploaded to play. It might take a few hours, 2-4 i guess.

I'm still waiting for a Dev to give us edge on launcher like the note edge.. sucks that we can only slide it out or use it when the screen is off. would love to remove status bar and have it on the edge but that's wishful thinking lol

I have the latest android lollipop H81510F(got it from dev marco), everything works fine, but i just can not get rid of the damn data usage thing, also is it possible to restore it to 100% stock? i would absolutely love it. By default it says: 0KB/s but i would love it gone.

No this rom is from marcosuper7, latest lollipop for H815 international.
I think you misunderstood me, the data usage monitor or whatever it is called is something that shows how quickly it is downloading or smth like that, but i just can not get rid of it, and also you know how the signal strenght is supposed to be like 5 bars or smth like that, instead i have 5 dots.
I hope it is possible to get rid of that, or just make statusbar like it is in stock android.
I did get you right and I'm still thinking that this is a mod or something. I use stock and don't have it and I have never seen it on a 815 either. Try another Rom and see if it changes?

Well i know for a fact, that his(marcosuper7) 1 version older rom H81510E doesn't have that.. so i guess he did mod the statusbar or smth like that, and i would post on his thread for help to get rid of it, but because i am new user, i can not comment below his post. I just wonder if it was possible to get rid of the mod, and get default statusbar back, and if it is possible then how i can do it.
