U can`t change landcode without root + Samsung Galaxy S / S2 / S3 CSC or with Phone INFO ★Samsung★
But your current rom MUST have Multi-CSC and contain both ( 99% it won`t )
Easiest way is to download rom from sammobile for Netherlands (Vodafone) and flash it with Odin

While flashing the firmware you gave me an error occured!
Now my device seems to be bricked as Kies doesn't recognize the device for recovery, any idea how to solve this problem?

Btw take care it will void your Knox warranty to 0x1
Or try to download another version of firmware ( KitKat ) and flash it with Odin 3.10

As far as I know changing the CSC will factory-reset the phone (Phone INFO ''CSC Changer' tells that as well).
I saw that Titanium Backup is backing up CSC application and data. Does anybody know what happens if one restores the CSC data with TB? Does this work without factory-reset?
Reason for asking is that I had a strange issue yesterday: flashing with ODIN failed 'Get PIT for mapping...'. The phone was starting up with the message 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again'.
I removed the battery and then I could flash the firmware without problems. Later after setting up everything I noticed that my CSC changed from 'DBT' to 'KOR'

To be honest, I never had to change the csc. The european firmwares have multiple CSCs included are the right one should be chosen automatically at first boot up after flashing. And I really dont understand what CSCs really are. So I dont care about them. Flashing the belgium fw worked as well as the german one. Couldn't fnd any difference (accept for the Hello app^^). European people are bothering themselves way to much about this topic...

[Q] Galaxy Note GT-N7100 Update KIES Root

Hey Guys.
I am from Germany, so sorry for my bad English. I know of no better forum.
At Windows Mobile-times I was active here. Then I switched to Apple.
Now I am happy owner of a Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 here in Germany (without branding).
Many things have changed and are new to me. I have been searching but found no exact answers to my questions. I also read a lot of different informations. Therefore, I am careful and rather ask.
First the facts, then the questions:
Galaxy Note GT-N7100 II with Build Number JRO03C.N7100XXALJ1 (image infos)
Rooted with Odin and cwm6-root n7100.tar
Everything runs fine with no problems and I am fully satisfied with the smartphone.
This morning, the info came for an OTA update.
I'm not a fan of OTA, so I tried to update via KIES. ( firmware image)
PDA: LJ3 / PHONE: LJ2 / CSC: LJ2 (DBT)
But that did not work because my device was modified. (Image error kies)
Then I looked at Sammobile and discovered the complete firmware. ( Sammobile image)
Now my questions:
1. Is there a way to install the update via KIES?
If so, is there a tutorial somewhere, perhaps Step by Step?
2. If I install the 900MB firmware from Sammobile using Odin, all settings and apps are gone?
3. If I update the firmware, I have to roote again?
4. Can I roote regardless of the firmware with cwm6 n7100.tar-root?
My wish is a guide or tips for the following:
I want my Galaxy Note to keep up to date without each time reinstall.
I want ONLY root and keep those rights.
Maybe I'll try again later also Custom Roms.
I welcome all the tips. If there is somewhere exact answers for that I am pleased with the link. And I'm sorry if I may have already read over answers.
Thx

Hi and welcome
It's normal that with kies you cannot upgrade your firmware on a rooted device.
So
1) use normaly the sammobile firmware you dont go to lose nothing, normally they are non wipe file
2) buy odin mobile on market and flash the firmware with this program, the pay version give you the opportunity of have root.
+1 mobile odin :good:
You can inject root, super user and mobile odin when flashing new firmware
Very handy.

First, thanks for the replies.
So that I understand correctly:
I go get MobilOdin, download the latest firmware (900mb) of sammobile. Then I store the firmware on the SD card and update with MobileOdin. In MobilOdin I select root. All settings and apps keep exist?
Now i read from another user:
As we all know Samsung devices has two or more ways to upgrade their software
Either by OTA & KIES which will keep the user data & preferences or the Odin which will wipe the cache & data .
Thats what i mean ... whats right, whats wrong?

Hi Tonylee,
i have flash MJ5 bootloader before but its failed
is Blpatch the same like MJ5?? how do i know which bootloader i have now??
is this a stock rom N7100XXDMG1_N7100ODDDMG1_INU_Prerooted.rar ??
i will try your advice and hope it will help me to make my phone work again....
Us an app called Phone Info https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo to.see what bootloader you have installed already. Post here what that is. The blpatch is the dmg1 bootloader, you cannot flash the dmg1 rom if mj5 is installed. Yes the dmg1 rom is totally stock. just pre rooted.
If it fails whilst trying to.flash the mj5 then.its likely you have a mk4 or.newer bootloader wbich means you cannot.flash dmg1.
in that case the only thing I coukd.suggest is to.flash the very latest rom specifically for.you carrier

Right as id guessed your on mk9 bootloader. Ignore that now. Your knox warranty is 0x1 which is the tripped state.
You cant downgrade the bootloader lower than mk4. You cant flash a stock 412 rom If it is loaded with a bootloader Which I think Is the norm.
you have your imei so you can flash a stock 4.3 rom for your carrier or a custom recovery and custom rom such as ARHD

You could flash a spanish stock rom but id go with twrp recovery and arhd.
You cant downgrade your bootloader your stuck with what youve got now. Dont fret, im also stuck on mk9 since I flashed an mk9 rom for a developer to test something. If.you want to use 412 specifically there are custom 412 roms but you might as well.go.with 4.3 now

You cant downgrade you bootloader. You cant.flash these roms because they contain a bootloader that is older than mk4 which means it will fail.
the only.option you have for.flashing stock.is.to.flash a 4.3 one.
if you want older android on your phone you will have to go.down the custom.route
the only stock.roms that will flash ok are 4.3 roms or roms that dont contain a bootloader update (most of.them.do.do)

France firmware

I noticed that there is no good rom support for our tab s so I Downloaded last firmware of my t-805 lte from sammobile (france firmware)
My question is can i flash it directly from recovery or this may harm my device or make me lose root
Otherwise what can i do to make this firmware flashable like cooked roms
Pls teach me developers as iam new to all of that
Thanks alot
Since the ROM is from sammobile you will need to flash it from your PC with Odin. Make sure you charged your device and make sure its the right ROM for your device, example if its a Verizon or sprint tab s or a 10.5 inch model. Also make sure the rom is the right one from your country. You will lose root since it is stock. But you can still root it again with cf auto root. Hope this helps!
One problem I am from Egypt but the firmware is France update
So how can I flash it
First make sure you have the right firmware for your device as it may brick your device. Follow this video. http://youtu.be/6Rc17Hj11RM yes its a tab pro but still have the same steps to flash it. Just ignore the cfauto root and just use your firmware to flash it when he said to click cf autoroot. Search on google Odin 309 to download Odin to flash the firmware. Hope this helps
---------- Post added at 09:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:47 PM ----------
Also I forgot to add the firmware most be where you got it from. For example of you got it from Egypt you must have the firmware from Egypt or you may get bricked.
But I searched well and all I found is that it is OK to flash a stock Ron of another country

There has been reports of flashing a different ROM of another country you get some sort of error during the flash ( some sort of file named hidden). I cannot confirm this error and someone correct me if I'm wrong! If you don't get a response try asking about "flashing Roms from different countrys safe?" May I ask why are you trying to flash a stock ROM?

There were reports, that NH1 Firmware from France does not work with 5GHz Wifi (only 2GHz band). Would be intereting if it works for you

I put mine in France firmware and no problem to use the 5Ghz wifi with it. The olnly difference is I got a lot of language to choose now (this is what I want). I suspect the france version is the same as other european ones because it got all european languages. If not, I don't know why they have a version for each country as my one plus cell phone got only 2 for the whole world.
Is there also a flashable zip file of the france stock ROM for recovery ?
This would be good if you debloat your device and if you got problems you could simply flash zip file in recovery without loosing all the settings like after flashing via ODIN.

Can an International (F) firmware be flashed into a Korean (N) Device?

I'm tired of these ****ty korean bloatware.
I've been trying to flash F firmware on my unrooted N device for a week now with no success, it's always some kind of PIT/Partition error, ticked/unticked Re-partition, ticked/unticked NAND erase, Used/Unused PIT file, patched Odin, unpatched Odin, nothing works, always "Fail Secure (PIT)" error.
someone told me that the F CSC had a different partition than the N CSC, so how do I re-partition? why does it keep failing?
Can an International (F) firmware be flashed into a Korean (N) Device?
why isn't there a clear answer to this question anywhere?
yes i did. actually i took mine to a local mall mobile service shop. the tech guy installed twrp and installed a custom rom- something named lamlazy azmobile bla bla.. . it was all good. the ONLY thing missing was- OTA update. i did lot of youtube and google on this- in some i found the OTA still available in that particular rom while in others that OTA option is missing. that's why i reverted back to the stock KT-variant firmware.
right now i am on the hunt of how to just root and 'hack' the original firmware- just so i can get rid of KT apps which are in control of my only, current gripe- there is no Preferred Network selection option like you see on a global firmware. I only see 3G/LTE Auto and 3G Only options. I need unlocked 2G only, 3g only, 2g/3g auto, 2g/3g/lte auto option.
so, to answer your question- yes it is absolutely possible to convert any korea variant S9+ into global variant. at least with custom rom- not yet sure if it is possible with stock global rom/firmware.

already ahead of you, I installed Soldier rom with a F CSC but there some issues that you start to notice after a while because the the partition for the N CSC isn't the same as the F CSC, so the F CSC doesn't install completely.

like I stated in my op, patched odin didn't work for me no matter what I did, and I haven't seen anyone so far that confirms that it actually works in flashing an F firmware on an N device. so did you actually flash a F firmware on an N device yourself?

unpack both the korean firmware's CSC and the F CSC that youre trying to use, remove the pit from the F firmware, replace it with the Korean PIT, repack the file and flash it.
you can also try an older version of Odin, as that has caused so many headaches for folks in the past. Odin version mismatches can be a mother trucker
oh yes, i had the same issue when i tried patched odin. i didn't know much about PIT. so, after fiddling around for some time, i went back to stock KT firmware. by the way, have you seen this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycpnsWJdURQ
According to this, we need to root our phone, then remove CSC folder and restart. then copy-paste couple of files in the system folder. He did it on his Note 4 though. But my problem with network selection limitations and bloatwares are exactly the same as he was showing on his KT variant Note 4.
anyway, i will surely try extracting the PIT file fron N firmware and replace that in F firmware. any tips/guide how can i do that please?

Stock Firmware for Samsung Note 10+

I'm using Samsung Note 10+
Model number SCV45, a Japanese variant with a name tag "au" & has the Snapdragon processor, not Exynos.
I want to flash the stock Firmware again.
I have visited SamMobile website to download the firmware of Note 10+. But there are lots of model number available like -
SM-N975F
SM-N975U
SM-N975U1
SM-N975W
SM-N9760
SM-N976B
SM-N976N
SM-N976Q.... so on.
But i didn't found "SCV45" model number.
As far as I know, SM-N975U, SM-N975U1 is for USA region with Snapdragon variant & SM-N975W is for canda region, also with Snapdragon.
If I flash any of the firmware of USA or Canada variant on my Japanese variant device through Odin, is there will be a problem. I have no idea about that as I'm a new user of Samsung. I have always used OnePlus. So I don't have enough knowledge about Samsung firmware.
Please let me know about the fact.

Thanks a lot brother.
But actually, I want to try out US region firmware on my device. So I'm asking, is there any problem if I flashed
SM-N975U or SM-N975U1 firmware? What will happen if I do so?
I need a clear idea about that, because I don't have enough knowledge about Samsung firmware & also I don't want my device turn into a bricked device.
Hope, I will get a clear idea from this XDA forum about that.
maybe your device is rooted or there is a mixed firmware so coming back to original firmware is not without risk
can you post :
- device version:
on dialer : *#1234# or *#12580*369#
Here is the Device Version that you want
Actually today I tried to add a edu mail account on google and it's showing that "Can't create a working profile, here is what error message I got.
I have checked, I don't have root access. And I also running stock Firmware as I got OTA update from Samsung for One UI. So I don't know what is the actual problem. That's why I want to shift from current firmware to USA region firmware.
But I am in a doubt as I don't have enough knowledge about that.
you can't flash a N970U or U1 full firmware
maybe only the CSC part if it work but at your own risk
I believe you can try to flash some completely other version, but no one can be sure if it will work.
I would suggest to have a spare Japan OFW to reflash if anything goes wrong.
Your latest FW according to samfirm should be -> SCV45 -> Region KDI
Version: SCV45KDU1DVC3/SCV45QDI1DVC3/SCV45KDU1DVC3/SCV45KDU1DVC3
FIlename: SCV45_3_20220314133230_x92etays47_fac.zip.enc4

I know it's hard to find someone who has tried out what I asked for. I don't know whether it will work or not. But I just want to make sure that after flashing a different region firmware, it should not become a hard brick device.
If something goes wrong, at least I flash the SCV45, Japan variant firmware again & everything turns to a normal state as it is running now.
So should I proceed with SM-N975U, USA variant firmware? Will it gonna make my device hard brick? Can I come back to normal state by flashing SCV45 KDI firmware which is mentioned by you?

and also, dont forget to flash the "CSC" file, not the "home_CSC" to change the region. (the home_CSC doesn't change CSC and leaves your apps and other stuff intact. On the other hand, the CSC file wipes everything and changes the region.)

I am too much grateful to brother for your suggestions what I actually expected for.
I will follow all your instructions.
I will flash the "CSC" file only. Thanks for let me clear about this thing.
I have just a little confusion about what you have told above.
You suggest me not to flash bootloader. Can you please give me a clear idea how can I skip it or at what step, I should not flash the bootloader? I have just this confusion.

Well... You have to flash through ODIN.
So. In the ODIN you have several options on what to do (what to flash). When you download the FIRMWARE you will have to decompress it. there will be different files -> BL (Bootloader - BL), PDA (the firmware - AP), PHONE (modem and stuff - CP) and CSC (vendor or region specific info).
Firstly I would try to flash only AP + CP + CSC. Which means Firmware + Phone + CSC. Be sure to flash the same version of Android as you have. In that case it should... maybe... probably work the same. If you have bootloader from Android 11 and you try to flash Android 11 from another version, it should work theoretically....
But if you try to flash eg. Android 12 over Android 11 it won't work because the Android 12 uses different bootloader and you need to update it.
It would be most desired to flash the bootloader also. But my suggestion for you is to try flash different version without the bootloader (if it can be done). Because if you don't screw up the bootloader, you will be always able to boot to bootloader a flash back the original firmware.
I don't have the knowledge to tell you, that if you flash USA version of bootloader to the JAPAN version of bootloader that it will work. It probably should, but I believe, noone can answer that and it's just that you will have to try it.
I believe that the ODIN will tell you that you are trying to flash firmware from completely different device and if you are sure to do that.
So again:
1) download firmware from different location with the same android version
2) decompress the firmware
3) in the ODIN -> add only AP, CP, CSC (don't add the bootloader)
4) try to flash!
If it doesn't work, you can try even to flash the bootloader, but I'm a bit worried about that one....
I am highly grateful to you as you have explained the whole thing so clearly. Now I understand all the steps that I need to do. Thank you so much for clearing up the matter in so much detail. Now I can proceed.
I will try as per your suggestion. Let's see what happened.
Thanks again.

Then what should I do?
before flashing a part of firmware , i think it's better to know more about root
i'm not familiar with root and my lastest rooted device is a galaxy S6
why do you want to change the firmware ?

I have checked and I don't have any root access. I have told you why I actually want to change the firmware in some previous reply.
Here I am mentioning the whole problem again for your better knowledge.
Actually yesterday, I tried to add an edu mail account on google and it's showing that "Can't create a working profile", here is what error message I got.
I am running on stock official Firmware, I confirmed that as I got OTA update from Samsung for One UI. So I'm not using any custom OS.
But I don't know why it's showing that I am using a custom OS . That's why I want to shift from current firmware to USA region firmware to check whether the Japanese region firmware has issue or not.
But I am in a doubt as I don't have enough knowledge about switching from one region to another region firmware in Samsung devices.
I hope you can understand, though my English is not great
