Good job.......totally agree with the Tudia and Diz reviews......

Great review, I've seen reviews saying that the Boxwave Blackout cracks and chips after little use or removing it from the phone a couple of times, can anyone confirm this? That's the one I like the most. Thanks.

I have the nillkin case, not in your review but it has cut outs for the power and volume. Great fit even with tempered glass it still has a small gap. I couldn't say its a dime distance since I'm in the uk but even with the glass there is still a 1 mm gap. Cheap and seems OK so far.
Also have a diztronic on the way and an official OnePlus tpu. Who knows may do another mini review once they all arrive.

None of the cases included in this video are PC, they are all TPU. The nillkin case is PC. All PC cases have cutout buttons because PC doesn't flex its made for abrasion protection. I have reviewed a couple of PC cases on my channel if you want to check them out, the BoxWave minimus, the official 1+ cover, and the nillkin PC case video will be live soon.
A PC case will be much much more friendly towards screen protectors. TPU cases will be more likely to push against the sides of the glass and cause bubbles.
The Nillkin PC case is surprisingly high quality. Like, really high quality ::cough:: better than the official case ::cough::
I'm lookin forward to your review. No matter how many accessories I own I always always read and watch other reviews too. I think we have a sickness

What was your favorite case amongst all the ones you tried, regardless of material?

hmmmmm ..... man that's tough. I'll answer it without answering it. Here's my personal thought process behind this question.
1) I don't drop my phone very often. One broken phone in 10+ years and I'm comfortable replacing parts on my own phone if need be, so impact resistance isn't too important to me. This means TPU cases and combination PC/silicone/TPU type cases ( think otterbox) are more than what i need.
Plus if i did blow up a phone beyond repair, I've got more phones.
2) I prefer a slim design case. Since all i need is abrasion protection, I don't want to add too much fat to my phone.
3) I like texture. I don't want to add a case which is slippery because that defeats point #1 cause i might drop my phone
So right now I'm really liking the Nillkin snap on PC case. It's what's currently on my phone. Ask me again in a week and it might be a different case but my logic above remains the same.
Hope that helps.

Very useful information, thanks. Just wondering, have you also tried the Pelosi case? It's what I'm thinking of getting and it seems like it would really satisfy your requirements.

Has anyone tried the Orzly TPU? Is there a lip on the TPU case? if so, how thick is the lip?

Actually the unique design of the OPO doesn't push the case against the screen so you're safe, I do have a TPU case(as I has to my previous Desire HD phone ..no issues)
P.S. I do have tempered glass in the OPO which is way better but still in my DHD I has matte film which was nice(there still didn't have any issues with bubbles and do mind I'm a perfectionist..)

Thanks for the vid, very useful!

Rearthusa Extremely thin case(+Screen Protector) for our Galaxy Note

Ive done business with them in the past with my sgs2. I ordered about 5 different cases and used there matte screen protectors with no issues. I emailed them a month ago to release something for the galaxy note and they came through. Very high quality cases and screen protectors. Will post update once I recieve mine.

That material looks very slippery. Are the sides "grippy?"
I love the headphone jack and micro USB caps to protect it from dust! Might grab a metallic color one!
I want their Steel Bumper series on my Note.
I like to looks of this. Does anyone have this case yet? I know it is silicone but is it more rigid than a regular tpu case?

I ordered it last night from Louisiana. I'll post up a short review when it arrives.
Just ordered mine too, looks great ! thanks for posting
Any one received the case yet?
***there is no tether included with the Rearth Note case even though it says so****
Dear ericshmerick,
Hi,
I'm really sorry for the confusion. Our design made a mistake on the
detail description. However, this Kit does not have a lanyard with the
package. We are still working on an accessories option so that you can
purchase a lanyard separately. I hope this help. If you have any other
questions feel free to let me know.

So in other words, they advertised to include a 0.5 cent part but will instead offer if later for sale even though it's advertised as included.
Keep it classy rearth. No sale for me (and it was in my cart ready to purchase).
wow, that looks amazing.
I received my case last week. Unlike my great experience with sgs2, I received a damaged retail box and a case with buff marks all over it. Was very unhappy but they are sending me a brand new one now. Will post a short review when I receive the new one.
Like the poster above stated it does not come with a lanyard. Screen protector is pretty good though.
Just a few quick pics. Came in the mail today. Overall has a nice fit to it. The case is quite slick(slippery), yet feels okay in the hands because of the lack of lip around the entire face. It does get smudged quickly and it is noticible. It is a soft silicon type but much more rigid once on and the slickness actually helps the feel of the unit gliding in and out of your pocket.
Around the case basically the button areas are cutout and the sides are half covered by this(bumper part) of the case, hence no lip on the sides.
The top and bottom both have a decent lip to allow faceplanting of the Note. And the Stereo Headphone port and Micro Usb both have plugs to keep the dust away, very nice touch.
The screen protector is also better than the 5pk for $4.00 ebay special, as it has the entire face covered with the exception of the ft cam notch where it is blank in the space right above the cam itself.
In the first pic my I4 with Cleave Aluminum Bumper is shown for size along with the Note with Rearth case.
This case is quite nice. I basically echo everything previously said.
It's kind of a pain to get off if you need to change the battery though, but that goes for most hard cases like this I guess. I already have a screen protector on so I'm not touching the one that came with the case yet.
- Frank
I just got mine yesterday, and I have to say I am EXTREMELY disappointed in my purchase. I paid $28.00 for a case that is sub-par to the hard shell Nillkin I bought for about $10. The case is slick, shiny, easily smudged, and provides absolutely NO protection to the Note. If there was a single good thing I could say about it, it is the fact that it IS thin. It's like having no case at all. At the very least, they could have made it a matte finish. It's worth about $10.
This is about the 3rd or 4th different brand of case I have tried for my Note.
Save your money.
I agree with yeahmon. This case is expensive!!!
Go get a Nillkin ultra slim hard case instead. Only US$9.99 and comes with a screen protector too. Free shipping.
http://www.obostore.com/Nillkin-Ult...Faceplate-for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-p-3357.html
I bought one and measured it. Only about 11mm thick. Great and nice fitting case with good quality material.
More colours at a slightly higher price at US$12.49.
http://www.obostore.com/Nillkin-Shi...Faceplate-For-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-p-3356.html
US$27.99? I can buy 2 cases and have change left.
There are a lot of nice hard cases in obostore at a really good price. Go take a look guys and gals.
a matte version does exist

I have ordered this case as well but can not yet comment on it's quality, or lack thereof, since it has not yet reached me.
I will certainly comment on that once I have some experience.
They do have a matte finished black case though.
In fact I ordered a matte one, even though I visually prefer the shiny black version (they call it noble black). To avoid exactly the problems you are describing (easily smudged and scratched). As said, I can not comment on this actually being the case and certainly will report back on this.

What case are you comparing it to? The one in ddeath's post?
Compared to that Nillkin case, the Ringke case offers better protection since the bottom has zero protection on the nillkin case. It's not only covered on the Ringke case but the Ringke also has caps for the headphone/usb ports so you don't get lint in them.
Yes, the Nillkin case is cheaper. And I also shouldn't have gotten the shiny case. But from a protection standpoint it's exactly as advertised. I don't understand the dissapointment.
I'll probably use this case as a daily driver and swap it with a thicker, higher protection case for 'heavy days' (trips or whatever).
- Frank
Disregard this post
I bought their case two weeks ago, and I am reasonably happy with it. I bought the one with "matte black" finish, so it was not slippery. Feels pretty solid in hand, actually.
All the cutouts on the case are very precise. The rubber caps help a lot. But as everyone said, the lanyard was missing, so I emailed their support and they sent me a lanyard in a separate mail very shortly. The lanyard looks exactly like what the photo shows, but I don't know how to attach the lanyard, because the case was so tight, I don't see a hole where I can attach the string. If anyone knows, please enlighten me.
Because the case is so slim, I feel its primary purpose is to prevent scratches on the front, side and back in daily use. But I personally would doubt its shock absorption capability when you drop it.
This case is more for people who like to go naked. It adds no extra bulk to the note. And it will protect it from some small drops. It will protect from the housing getting scratched.
Its not for people who need maximum protection but for people who want something that's barely there.
GALAXY NOTE

I can't decide... (yep another case thread)

I wanted a as slim as possible case and I wanted it to protect all the way around the perimeter of the phone. Here are the choices (in order from first to last), help me decide.
Rearth Ringke Slim - At $28 it's a bit expensive and it doesn't cover the sides. Also looks to be less grippy since it's hard smooth plastic.
BoxWave Blackout - I'm worried it's thicker than a case like the Rearth, but with that said it protects all around and is really cheap at $12. I think the material is more rubber like which sounds more appealing to a gloss hard case. Not many reviews anywhere for this case.
elago G4elago G4 - I'm not sure about this case in general.
Thanks for your input.
Personally I like the Leather style flip cases, The one that doubles up as a wallet.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-WAL..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item3374db7913
I would never pay more than £10 (delivered) for a case.
in terms of slimness i've basically narrowed it down to two giants.
1. sgp ultra thin
2. casemate barely there.
not sure which ones better but from what i can tell they're pretty much the same, both at a hefty 25 bucks.
anyways, i'm in the same boat as you. XD
not sure which case to get.

I have the rearth and it is very slim, the only down side it is a beeeoootch to take off (i have a dock/charger for the phone) and if you take it on and off a lot it cracks and the part closet to the usb port cover, nothing earth shattering it actually makes it much easier to take the case off - that and the sgp ultra clear and it is almost like having nothing on the phone at all.
I have used diztronic cases for the last year (for my SII and now my N7000). They are very similar to the boxweave case you posted.
http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Fle...0386413&sr=8-3&keywords=diztronic+galaxy+note
As you know TPU protects like a silicon case but doesn't stick in your pocket or collect lint and dust due to it not being "sticky" feeling. I recently sold my SII for over $300 after 8 months of daily use because my SII was in perfect condition as a result of being in a diztronic tpu case. No, I never dropped the phone on cement or anything but I dropped my SII on the carpet from 5+ feet and the phone was unchanged when I picked it up. Didn't pop out of case or battery, etc. Because the tpu cases have a 1/8 or so "lip" on the front they also allow the phone to be placed face down on flat surfaces. IMHO and experience, a good tpu case is all you need to fully protect your phone unless you work in construction or somehow expect to drop it on cement.
So, my vote goes to the boxweave or diztronic cases. BTW I got 2 diztronics for $14 from amazon, the black matte and smoke matte. Great deal!
^I'm actually thinking of getting a real cheap TPU case like that I can mod. My ideal case is a TPU Bumper, maybe the Boxwave Black out without the back part but have the vol and power buttons cut out. I guess it's just not feasible so far... ?
Anyway, Thanks for the input so far guys, keep it coming.
bumper TPU from Amazon

first post here,
I have one of these.
search amazon for bumper cases.
I'm not allowed to post urls.
I like it, I have it on right now. What I have is different from what's
in the pictures. No cutouts for the buttons and the other cutouts are not
as big. The covers of the buttons are pretty sensitive, unlike the covers
for the Boxwave type which I got from Hongkong for 2 bucks.
Check amazon out, they have a lot of cases.
I also have the elago Breathe case, I love them I have two.
I ended up taking my chances on this. I guess it's going to be as close as I get. Thanks everyone, I'll let you know how it is when I get it.

I have the 3 of them
Go for the Rearth Ringke Slim , is THE BEST OF ALL !!!
Hi all, I'm in a similar dilemma.
I've got a choice between these two:
https://www.gearzap.com/media/catalog/product/3/4/34484-2.jpg
and
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HYBRID-SI...lePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item416682f7b6
I know I should pick the Zenus, but would the inside bit that holds my phone scratch the outer bezel? And since the hybrid one has a silicon case THEN a hard outer shell I figured it would be good too. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I use a an SGP Ultra thin. Comfortable case. Considering the size of the phone the case is great. Merges with the Phone. +1 anytime.
I ordered this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160732471512?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649. It has a stand that works in both axis.

Nice

What are some good cases & protectors?

I'm looking for some good cases that give protection. I've never had a case with good protection, like right now I have literally a somewhat hard plastic shell that is still flimsy I also have a standard no name dry screen protector.
I'm wondering what are some cases to look at that offer protection but aren't insanely bulky. I want lightweight to medium protection (I always thought those hardshell + rubber cases were neat). Also any flaws like I saw some cases people said headphone jacks wont fit or gaps that invite dust etc. I don't know about these tempered glass screen protectors but if anyone wants to recommend one too.
Sorry if this is a spam post because I have been sifting around and looking to see what's best but it's hard to read thousands of comments and then the reviews haha.

I been looking up on the same query, and seems like there are 2 options which got real good feedbacks:
1) Spigen Slim Armor (2 part case: hardshell + silicon)
2) Diztronic TPU case
Gonna read on Supcase as well, but the above two mentioned really have been quite comprehensive.
Spigen
+ Provides excellent protection.
+ Snug fit and top quality product.
- Slight bulk added. (Not too bothersome)
- The back of the phone is rendered flat due to the case design.
The TPU case
+ Provides good protection
+ Next to no bulk added and is like next to having no case at all.
+ It's back is curved, which makes it easier to hold.
- Semi slippery to hold

Hey thanks for the reply! I've heard that the TPU case sometimes has a poor cutouts. Not sure if you have read that either, the slippery holding is worrisome though haha. Is there a specific Spigen case that is the best out of the ones they offer? Let me know what you find out about the Supcase. I'm still browsing around and reading reviews trying to find what is the optimal "overall best" case
Slim Armor is the best.
Black, because it has soft touch.

How's the ultra hyrbid par up with slim armor? The armor looks like it'd be too bulky like an otterbox
It's a little bulky but it's not intrusive. The ultra hybrid I bought was a waste of money. Buttons were hard to press. The plastic scratched deep easily (yes the film was off), it also had a gap where a bunch of crap got between the case and the phone.

I spoke about a specific Spigen case earlier in my post - Spigen Slim Armor.
There were reports that the earlier batch had issues with the buttons, but seems like the revised case have got the anomaly removed.
Looks like a Fantastic product and i would definitely be inclined to get it.
BUT,
I have not even seen the Diztronic or any other case for that matter. People been impressed with Diztronic, it has been revised as well so the cut outs have been treated after feedbacks. So again, if you want bullet proof protection, go for the Spigen Slim Armor, and if you want a light weight casing, Diztronic is the way to go.
I will read about the Supcase sometime next week maybe. No rush for me as i already got the case delivered. So the supcase reading will be only for information gleaning purposes.
if you find anything worthy, mention it here and gimme a shout
Pretty happy with my Slim Armor, though the button covers are very sensitive so my phone has rebooted a few times since I've installed it. Spigen is sending me a replacement TPU inner shell. Going to wrap the outer shell in carbon fibre tonight, will post pics when I'm done, assuming I can do a decent job.
I have a fosmon TPU/plastic shell with holster from amazon for $5 and it's pretty solid. It is a bit bulkier than the Slim Armor but very small, and only in thickness. Great deal for $5, and I use the holster with the slim armor.

case suggestion

I should be receiving my new device next week :laugh:and I can't decide what case to pickup.
I use a magnetic phone mount in my car so I will have to put the magnetic plate between my device and the cell phone case. That being said anything with a transparent back is out of the question. If the case has legs it would be ideal as well. I work at a desk all day and I would rather not have it wobbling around if I'm trying to use it while it's on my desk.
I have used a UAG case on my S5 for the past two years and I was very happy with it. Right now I'm considering the TUDIA Slim-Fit HEAVY DUTY [MERGE] Extreme. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for a case as well, and I also use a magnetic mount in my car. I was wondering if, since the phone's back is all metal, do I even need the plate between the case and phone?

That's a good point. I guess we will find out soon enough!
The TUDIA case I mentioned above is a 2 piece case so I was planning on putting the metal place between the two parts of the case that way the metal plate doesn't have to physically touch my device.
Otherwise I'm probably going to at the very least place a small piece of paper between the metal plate and my device to prevent it from scratching the rear of my device.
Aluminum generally isn't magnetic, and I'd be slightly afraid to put a magnet right onto the phone and risk damaging some internals. I'm going with the Spigen Neo Hybrid, and will likely put the plate on the phone itself as well.
I have ordered these two. Always used spigen on my devices. Also ordered a full tempered glass protector. After reading on the protector its compatible with case's. Screenshots attached for easy reference.
Generally I prefer clear case and put some good pictures on the back.
all oneplus3 accesories are compatible just goto oneplus3 forum and check it out

I got the ebony case for the 3T and not liking it. It's kind of hard to grip with the case on, sharp edges everywhere. I'm using it without a case now which is much comfortable and grippier. Don't know how much pain it's returning the case back for refund but will try that and look for a different case.

I have a friend who bought and likes the Spigen Neo Hybrid case, and I bought the OtterBox. I personally prefer the OtterBox, but the Neo Hybrid case looks pretty nice too.
Picked up the Cruzerlite Spartan case for my 3T. Got it yesterday and seems like it'll be a good rugged case. It's also not to thick. Get to try it when the phone finally gets here tomorrow.
Edit: posted the onepluse2 case but they do have it for the 3T also.

I usually go without cases but with the camera bump on 3T it makes me too cautious when putting down the phone on the table. Original Karbon Case does not create too much bulk as its quite slim and in the same time it does protect the camera and actually it has bumps on the front (corners) so you can put it face down too and not worry about scratches.
I bought Ringke Fusion. Awesome case. It has nice clicky buttons.

I have my Neo Hybrid in hand, but phone won't be here until tomorrow. I'll try to give impressions/photos.

Accessories Preffered Cases?

Hello. I wanted to ask what are your preffered cases for this device?
I'm currently looking for a waterproof/dustproof case, hopefully one with an integrated screen protector. But that's just me. What about you? What cases have you tried? What case do you have now? What are some of your favorites?
I'm a long time fan of Spigen. They make two cases for the Xperia 10 III, a black "rugged armor" case and a transparent "ultra hybrid" case. I have the transparent one, the buttons are very good and the cutouts for cables are very wide.
They also make a tempered glass screen protector, Spigen Glas.Tr but for some reason it seems availability varies by region. It's available on Amazon DE and in local shops in Eastern Europe (example) but not on Amazon UK or .com. I normally use the hinge method for applying the protector but the included applicator frame was pretty cool and it worked even faster.
My other usual choice for cases is Case-Mate, they also make high quality stuff, but unfortunately they don't support Sony phones.
So far I've only found one seemingly good rugged case; but no port covers and understandably, no screen protector.

I used to like rugged cases (polycarbonate+tpu/silicone gel), but I'm now using a very slim aramide fiber one I found on AliExpress, I really love it (and it is real fiber not molded plastic)
I like the original Sony case that came with my device.

However, I have no comparison to other cases and it's not waterproof/dustproof.
