Try this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45687485/Black_Dialer.zip
There are 3 apk's in this zip, copy Secphone.apk and SecContacts_OSup.apk
into /system/priv-app.
Be sure to make a backup or rename those two files in /system/priv-app first.
The 3rd APK is the SecMMS.apk which you can use if you want black messaging.
Be sure to make a nandroid backup before doing anything.
After your done don't forget to fix permissions of the new apk's.
Good luck!

Have no experience with apk tool. Puted both frameworks on "other folder" and SecMms.apk on modding-apk folder and it fails decompiling.

Theming the Stock SMS - different colours

I am looking to theme my stock SMS bubbles to different colours other than those available.
I have searched everywhere and cannot find any collection of themes for this.
I am running edgarf28's XperianZE Rom.
Can anyone offer any help with this...?
I did particularly love the red and grey of the MIUI theme for the S3 but that theme isn't compatible with my current ROM version...
If possible, I'd like to just theme the SMS (stock).
Please don't point me towards GoSMS etc.... I don't want to install a third party SMS app.
Thanks for any help.

you need to know about to:
1- How to decompile and editing System apk files. i suggest you to read the manuals about the APK MULTITOOL. (google it)
2- How to edit 9.png files
-------------------
you need to edit : System/app/SecMms.apk
when you decompile it, goto SecMms.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi folder
you can find the 9.png files that started by message_bubble***.9.png names.
edit them, and recompile SecMms.apk
copy edited SecMms.apk file into system/app folder on your phone.

Thanks for the advice.. looks a little tricky for a beginner.
Is it possible for me to somehow take the SecMms.apk file from another rom and drop it into my SecMms.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi folder?
Also, if i can do this.. do i need any particular file browser etc to access that folder? Can this be done post Rom install, or does this all need to be done within the flashable rom zip file prior to flashing?
Thank you.

International version .apk for Dialer and text theme?

Hey, does anyone have .apk file for the International dialer and text messaging theme? I like the black/blue of the int. version and hate the white one we get.
Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
Pics attached for reference.
I would say just download an international stock rom and rip the app from it and try it on ur phone it might work it might not just make sure you rename urs .bak so u can restore the original if it does not

I did try this: pulled secphone, seccontacts, and secmms apk's from deodexed n9000, replaced the stock ones with them in system/app on my n900a (AT&T), set permissions to rw-r--r--, renamed old odex files, and rebooted. Did it 3 times: the seccontacts produces FC.
Does anybody have successful experience in doing this? I'd appreciate any input: correct apk files, detailed instructions, etc.
Flash stainless. Good to go.

[Q] Stock Messaging Apk

Hello everyone,
I just got done theming my Note 3 and it looks great. The only thing I don't like about it is that I hate the theme of the messaging app and I want to replace it with the stock messaging apk instead of the new one. Anyone can give me any ideas and how I can go about restoring it to stock messaging while keeping the rest of the theme?
