Stable and fluid MODS for our ASCEND P6 - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

Hello. I post this treath because our phone needs all the help it can get. This is the most stable and peformance noticeable MOD installed on my HUAWEI ASCEND P6. If you are interested you can installe it from XDA forum/android/ Android Software and Hacking General [Developers Only] / [SCRIPTS][MOD] PROJ£CT MOD BOOST Nitro X.3 ~~ UPDATE 26/07/2014.
It is a new collection of MODS that really improved the performance of my phone.
Bellow its my review after a day of use. Now im on a week of use and its steal stable and fluid. ANTUTU - 15663.

I am a "semiproud" owner of an HUAWEI ASCEND P6 (quad core with 2 gb RAM and a KRV2 proc 1.5Ghz) a smartphone with very good looks but unfortunely now brain.
So, i installed yesterday your MOD and i think it is the most stable and with real performance so far (its not my first installed).
I will try to make a quick review after a day of use. (i am not a developer or a android brainiac; just a normal user).
1. It is easy to install and the instructions are done by the book: +10. It verifies every script and tell you if it is installed correctly. This is a big advantage for medium users like me.
2. Indeed the system seems snapier, not rocket, but noticeable. It is not placebo because i saw the RAM usage and is good right now. This usage was constant all over the day not just after install (with the cash wipped) +9.
3. Internet navigation: +10 - This indeed is a big step. Accesing the pages it is much faster. Maybe addbloker has a big roll here. +10;
4.Gaming - unfortunelly the GPU of the phone (vivante GC400) is a poor performance GPU. Your MOD did not improved the gaming performance unfortunelly. The number of the fps is smaller then before. I dont now why. But.. i'm not a heavy gamer. +7;
5. GPS emprovments/problems - none. Most MODS interfeere with the GPS this one doesnt. +10.
6. Memory R/W speed. I have a low speed internal memory chip compared too other high end phones and hopped thet your mode will increase it a bit. I verified the read ahead value and was changed from 128 to 2046. Unfortunelly these did not give me a performance boost. The R/W values are smaller then before; strange. +8 because the other MODS couldt even make a change of the read ahead value from 128 to higher.
7.Battery consumption: +8 - Well, the batery is draining faster. About 20% faster then before the MOD. It is not a big issue for me.
8. ANTUTU benchmark - improved. About 1000 points.
I give the notes to explain how your MOD is performing regarding my phone and my usage of it. Maybe other ascend p6 users will try it.
I don't want you to think that i'm trying to RANK your MOD. I dont, i do not have the experience.
Conclusion: Its a ROCK SOLID MODE that deserve congratulations. I am more pleased with my phone now. Can wait for the next stable release.
And although we can say that this is feedback . Thank you so much for this. Indeed X.3 version still some gaps to be resolved in the next.
As stated flarestar123, beta tester, the next looks promising.....
Im not a tester or a developer just a normal user that is tring to get the most of his ascend p6. Im not responseble if you damage your phone, please read carefully all the instalation guides in the xda original treath.
You can try it and post your opinions in the dedicated treath. If you tried another MOD post your oppinions here so we can try it to.
Thank you and good luck.

My first impression:
My P6 runs very fast now

For those who are intersted NITRO X3 was updated to NITRO X4. See the original threat and give your feedback there.
I thought that the interest for these threat would be higher, because for our phone to perform like it should, we need all the help we can get.
Rember that if you install these MOD you will do it on your own risk. Be careful, read all the instalation posts in the OP, and DO A BACKUP before install.

Thank you for your report in the NITRO thread

If you installed it give a small feedback in the original threat and paste it here too, about the battery, read ahead value and stability of the system.
Thank you in advance.

I'm on B634 and Antutu keeps crashing at graphical performance. Anyone on B634 tested this and it's working?

Is your question related to the current topic ? I don't understand.
I'm on B512 with B634 kernel and Nitro X4 installed. With my configuration antifungal works.

Of course it's related to this topic. That's why i've posted here. I've installed Nitro 4.

For me it is working. I admit that sometimes freezes on fps.count.

"link"
can somebody attach link of original tread, please, thanks!

Checked the installation and the script found something missing. Also, I've activated entropy.
Now the Antutu test finishes, not crashing the phone. Just some freezes on graphical tests, but the test goes to an end.

So, what is your overall opinion about the MOD and what do you think can be improved related to ASCEND P6.
I have some problems with loading internet pages, for exemple, and my battery drain it is a litlle higher.
But overall for me its the most stable MOD sow far. If you used other MODS more stable or better than this one please post your opinion here.

Imi place ca am ajuns sa trancanim si intre noi in engleza. )
Nitro is a good mod for P6. I think we can say it's "a must". B634 it's already a fast rom, but i can see some improvement. Interesting will be to know how this mod will improve older roms.

Alcatel ot 995 ultra : set fps caps to 60 - some tips

Hi Guys!
I'm glad to make my first post here, since I've been overseeing this forum for 6 months to tweak my X10^^
Now I have a brand new Alcatel ot995 ultra!
GB 2.3.6, 4,3" screen at 800x480px, around 380 MB of ram only (512 in the specs and reviews on the web), adreno 205, snapdragon 1.4ghz, etc...Wonderful for emulation, surfing and watching movies. Take a 32GB class 10 micro sd card right from the start: for 210 euros it will be a great multimedia device.
Since I love to enhance and optimize my devices, I quickly looked how to, root it, tweak it or OC it.
Unfortunately, the device isn't yet mentionned at XDA, only a few threads mention it, and I am a NOOB according to the welcome video,
BUT
I am gonna give you some piece of info to avoid you to search for 2 weeks how to root and tweak your precious, but first ask my 1000000 $ question:
- When I play on fpse with 2d games (castlevania- certain scenes of FFIX), the framerate drops to 32 fps. I was so frustrated to get the same performance than on my X10, on N64 it kicks ass and almost all games run smooth. Being a PC nerd, I guessed it was linked to some kind of software limit ("project igi" game was limited to 30fps for instance), kinda bad managed vsync. After one week, I found the solution: in the build.prop, I have to change the property "swap-interval" from "1" to "0". But as in the PC world, desactivating the vsync result in ugly glitches when you scroll.
So here is my issue: is there any solution to set the fps caps at 60 fps, the refresh rate of my screen. Because playing at 32 fps and activating frameskip is frustrating, and playing smooth at 50 fps with glitches annoys me too. What's the point to have a good hardware if it is not exploited well?
Now I give some tips to my ot995's owners fellows. I know we can find them on google, but I gather everything so you won't take 2 weeks like me to make everything (for my defense, I am blond, and have a girlfriend who keeps me away from my PC)
1) OT 995 is easy to root, with the application "super one click". I advise you to do it quickly so you can install task killers, set cpu, etc...
It was a lot easier than on my x10. By the way, I advise you to create profiles with low cpu frequencies for power loading and screen of, you will gain precious hours of battery life! idem with open advanced task killer, a must have, you will obtain more free memory and cpu power.. don't forget to desactivate wifi-bluetooth-gps-data when you don't use them, you have a widget in the status bar. I also changed of launcher for "holo launcher". It is way lighter than the 3d stock one, sober and classier, ICS like.
2)No finalised rom is avalaible yet, but a bunch of guys are starting something with a CM9 base:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1731574
Updt from 08/03/2012:
I tried the CM9 version of fonix! it runs smoothly, but no cam, no data, no bluetooth.
However, wifi works. Only a few apps are avalaible on it, no play store, it was a bit of a pain in the ass to reinstall all my apps and run tests to see if I gain some perfs, so I went back to my beloved tuned up version.
Fonix seems to be having some trouble and "lack of motivation and sources from alcatel", cheer him up guys!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1731574&page=7
Also I don"t remember how I did "it was late", but I managed to change my boot animation!
3) I advise you to install a recovery on the phone, so you can go deeper into tweaking afterward. So, make a BACKUP of your system!
http://dump.pargon.nl/alcatel/cwm-recovery/
look here for more information
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29534255
After having booted on recovery, backed up your system, flashed the recovery, you can now go further!
Now than you can access the recovery by pushing "power" and "vol +" buttons of the phone.
4) With a free soft like andromizer, you can tweak the build.prop!
I discovered that last week, and it is very powerful, reminds me the registry tweaks of windows. It can change drastically the behaviour of your phone, mine is way more responsive after the tweak.
Here you find a fine list:
http://androidforums.com/sony-erics...tweaks-power-boosting-your-android-phone.html
5) Don't forget to uninstall or freeze apps you don't use so they don't remain in background process (even with a task killer, you should cleanse the phone a bit, only a few apps are useful among the one alcatel provides). I use "Root Uninstaller", which can freeze the apps without uninstalling them, so you can activate them in case of mistake
6) I tried to change the boot animation in /system/media, replacing the stock bootanimation.zip by another one, and deleting former folders from alcatel, but I still have the original animation launching at boot. If someone knows, enlight me!
Come and feed this threads guys, on my side I'll try to complete those tips as soon as I find new stuff.
And I'll be glad to meet other OT995 owners, so express yourself
Hi and Congrats on your new Alcatel OT-995.
Which color you bought?
Don't forget to +1 for Alcatel Forum
I will buy this phone when it got ICS release or Custom roms! Lets hope the dev will consider this phone and get some XDA love
I will bookmark this thread and check it for updates :good:
PS: Moi aussi j'utilise le meme operateur "Orange" et c'est dans un Orange Shop que je vais bientot l'acheter
"Bonsoir" deadpunk! Other question about bluetooth devices.
Hi deadpunk!
I bought the red one, the finish and quality of the plastic is amazing for the price.
Okay, +1 for alcatel forum, I'll try to figure out how to do this to be effective. I found mine for 180 euros over the internet, it is a great deal for that price, even on stock rom.
What I can do is to make an .img of my rom and post it. So people could get a tuned up gingerbread rom. I am not a dev and have no pretention, but for sure guys who don't want to get their hands dirty could try it^^
ICS is announced for september, but well, to believe in santa claus would be more realistic than the phone builders. If I were richer, I would have bought the atrix, but the advantage of the tegra dual core at 1ghz is not so obvious.
Another question for xda allmighties:
I tried a few bluetooth keyboards on my ot995, and to connect a wiimote with blue imez on the phone, but I failed. Is it possible to connect any bluetooth KB and pads on Gingerbread? Or do I need to purchase more specific ones, like the phonejoy (I hesitate to buy it if it doesn't work neither, I am a poor geek).
Thanks!
Have you made all the steps in the link of n.4?
If so, did it improve the performance alot? Like in shadowgun?
Sent from my ALCATEL_one_touch_995 using xda app-developers app
Yeasis, try to write in build.prop or init.d file "debug.gr.swapinterval=0"
Hi yeasis!
I almost set everything except the video/movie/streaming tips. Ingame I didn't see any difference but the UI of my phone is way more responsive.
As I discovered today (I am just a padawan, more experienced guys are welcome to correct and complete me!), it is better to create an "init.d" file than edit the build.prop directly, the changes are easier to reverse so dig that option to avoid bricking your phone. Yet if you did a recovery backup and use andromizer you should have no issues, all went fine for me.
The most interesting option is to set the swap interval to 0, you can gain a lotta fps.Write in build.prop "debug.gr.swapinterval=0". if your are not allergic to the glitches this option can make a game previously unplayable smooth. On my side I keep it cuz it allows me to play to fpse with software plugin and no frame skip, opengl plugin remains to power greedy for the ot 995 on gingerbread
Have a try and gimme your feedback!
OT 995 owners, write to alcatel about ICS!
Well, I am quite present those times, since my girlfriend is 150 km away, I can now care about important matters, like my precious OT 995 and its supposed update to ICS in september.
So I sent a message to alcatel customer service, I will give you there answer (if they do) about a few questions and remarks I've found among the forums, here it is:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Alcatel fellow!
I am the happy owner of an ot 995 ultra. I am really glad of this phone, its price/power/quality ratio is great, but a few things make me sad. I dunno if a lot of guys write like that to you, I hope you give me a detailled feedback
First, everywhere the phone is mentionned to include 512 MB of RAM and I have only 380 MB. Do you punish french people?! I am kidding, but well it is disappointing, those extra 132 MB are needed in case of gaming of heavy multitasking, or to install a future version of android.
Second point, what about an android 4.0 or 4.1 update? I've seen here and there rumours about an ICS update avalaible in september. Its competitor, the huawei honor already has it, and is really 512 MB of ram equipped, even if it is more expensive I know that a lotta people hesitate between these two devices, commercially speaking it would be wise to cell your flagship product with a newer, user-friendlier and more bluetooth devices compatible operating system.
If you prepare an ICS rom for the OT995, I would be glad to be a beta tester, assuming all the risks that it involves.
Otherwise, if you don't prepare officialy any update for ICS, try to help the few developpers working on that phone so the community can grow up and spread the good word about your phones!
Last but not least, I tried to connect some Bluetooth keyboards and a wiimote, without success. I'd love to use my phone as a gameStation or PC with my TV. Do you know any compatible BT keyboards and pads for this phone (for instance, the "phonejoy")
I love my OT995 ultra and think it is a great product which deserves to be known more.
I hope we keep in touch, have a good week end!
I wait for your response and send you my best regards!

Hello deadpunk! Yes I have an answer, I am a bit disappointed but the thing to know is that 128 MB of ram go to the gpu, it's huge according to me for an adreno 205!
Dear Guillaume,
Please note that ONE TOUCH 995 RAM memory is 512 MB ,but 512 MB divide into GPU running space and storage space, so that user cannot fully use 512 MB .
We have already set up plan to upgrade 995 to Android 4.0. But when will it be released and whether every 995 or just a part of 995 will be upgraded are not sure yet. Please keep an eye on our website
Sorry that Alcatel doesn't have BT keyboard and we can't guarantee other brand BT keyboards can be compatible with ONE TOUCH 995. We sincerely apologize the inconvenience!
Should you have another request, do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for choosing Alcatel!
Apparently you've got your alcatel and rooted, don't hesitate to post here if you find new stuff about it (rom, update etc...)

Yeah,Got mine and its really nice phone  didnt like the alcatel launcher, installed Holo Launcher and its pretty much like my SGS2 but there's one prob with this phone.Power button sometimes doesnt work, need to pull the battery out or reboot through terminal.
I can see only around 300MB(200mb for gpu???really?) which is weird. My SGS2 which is 1GB RAM shows 830MB(170MB left for GPU).
For ICS update,Alcatel One Touch Fr (facebook) said that it will be for september and I'm pretty sure it will be release as its a very popular phone in france.
btw: On XDA portal today, i saw this Create-your-own-flashable-zip-via-clockworkmod-recovery/. If someone can port this CWM to the OT-995, it will help us to create an update zip which user can share with all modification/tweaks/etc... :good:

Agree (got the black one).
this device has same specs as galaxy s plus i9001 so can u port a rom?
Hey guys, sorry to answer 3 months later!
Hi everybody! Since My life has been quite busy I have not posted anything in the last months...
For the build.prop tweaks be cautious, some were counter efficient on my phone and 90% of them have proven to be useless.
You can give a try to "pimp my rom" which will guide you well through various menu full of parameters to tweak your rom yourself .
Nevertheless, I've tested several rom for the OT995 like CM10, PA 2.52 and 2.55, H1N1, PACMAN rom, etc..
These are all very smooth and pleasant to use.
I like a lot the work of BENETNATH, he surely is the guy who involves the most in the OT995 rom process,
providing update frequently. Even if I'd rather use the simplier cm10 than PA on my phone,
I follow with interest the job he's doing.
Unfortunately I can't comment his posts yet since I am a newbie on XDA with 6 posts
Alas,I have a big complain/request and hope some of you guys can transmit it: DATA and network browsing are not working with my phone on the last PA 2.55, cm10 and PAC Rom!!! I'm in France, using a B&You sim card
I really want jelly bean on my phone, to enjoy project butter smoothness for instance, please work on it guys, I'd be so grateful!!:good:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Otherwise, I've solved my fpscaps problem, everything is goddamn smooth (50fps+) with the last release of fpse. It's a very good app, but I also
advise you to try EPSXE. I've been using it for ages on PC, and the android version is pretty sweet. Although it lacks of parameters to enhance
graphics/sound, it's working really fine (even better than FPSE) on my favorite rom (FFIX: sound is now perfect!!! and castlevania SOT.Night).
If you wanna test it, you can grab your fpse memcard files, rename them and paste them in EPSXE "memcards" folder (not working for the
sstates).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've also bought Chainfire 3d, mainly to use the EGL driver with the antialiasing option. I don't see anything on EPSXE (surely cuz I don't use the
opengl plugin, not playable on this hardware), but I observe a great bump of quality under "chaos ring", the square Enix RPG. It was pixellised,
now it renders perfectly without losing any FPS. So if like me your device is more like a nomad game station, give it a shot
Don't hesitate if you wanna discuss on these topics

Thanks for this post. I have a issue. First I'm on a sprint variant LS990VZ4. Tried out the graphics booster. Doesn't see much of a difference. But when i opened setcpu. I noticed that my cpu was at 1.2 GHz. when i tried to bring it back to normal. it wouldn't do nothing. I've flashed two different zv4 roms. Wipe everything but the sd card. And still I'm stuck at 1.2 GHz. Any help would do on trying to get my cpu back to 2.5 GHz

This is an issue with the app. The app should see that you turned off your display and immediately set the value to it's stock setting. That way when you turn the screen back on you won't be blue.
Freakin app! Right now it works when it wants too.

It might be my ROM, MIUI V5, which is based on stock kernel but totally different UI. Also, sometimes it just wont work above level one, the screen will just go blue above 470 until a reboot
overall pretty sick, it's awesome to see how smooth stuff gets above the stock clocks
App works perfect thanks

Razz1,
The app isn't set after booting my device. I have to set boost manually after booting. Is it a bug or is it supposed to be like this? Using d855 android now Rom 2.4
Hi !
I've been trying the v2.2 beta posted in the dev thread for a couple days now, and no problem so far! No SOD at all, whereas I had at least one a day with v2.1.
But there is one strange thing, right after unlock, when the app does its magic, the screen sort of hangs for a millisecond. Nothing huge but if it can be fixed, the next version is going to be awesome!
Thanks again for your hard work!
Anyone tried the script on Lollipop meanwhile?

Hi there! I'm running rooted stock lollipop 20f on a lg g3 d855. For some reason velocity doesnt keep it's settings and I was just wondering if there's any solution found to this issue yet. Thanks for the help. By the way the speed script is lovely, works like a charm. I hope this velocity problem can be fixed as well, as I'm eager to see its effect on the phone. Cheers

Unfortunately their isn't a fix for keeping the values on the D855 yet. It used to work on your device but something was changed in the kernel along the way. I don't have a D855 to develop on so right now I can't fix it but I'm looking into it.
Thanks

script LG G3 speed G3 graphics
Hello,
A big thank you for this script. Great! However, I found a little problem!
I put my test LG G3 d855 and launched multi display mode benchmarks.
On one side we have the bench and the other a well-known utility CPU Z, which is simply a probe drive.
When I run a bench as AnTuTu, all 4 cores get in activity of 80% utilization and for a short period. On the whole test it mostly runs in two hearts.
When I run a bench or as 3D Mark GFXBench, Adreno 330 GPU that runs at 330MHz normal mode, is shot in full mode 578Mhz. Off, when testing the adreno 330 is fixed at 330MHz.
My question? Is it possible to create a script "speed" v4 for lg g3 which will modify the script v3. Would require the CPU to be active at 100% of the 40% of use, even for the GPU, it would be active 100% of 578Mhz or it is used.
A big thank you in advance

Which is fastest Optimus G E975 rom?

Hai There!
Currently im using CM 12 and Solid Kernel v1.6. At the moment im getting 31000 in Antutu, and 9000 in Quadrant (Artmod gave me 28000 in Antutu with Solid v1.6). But i`d like to know..is there rom & kernel that gives even better perfomance?
Wanted to give a shot to Jolla kernel, but it looks like it doesnt work with CM12, as it just gets stuck at Cyanogenmod loading forever (left it for 6+ mins and still at CM12 logo loading).
So yea..Is there anything that is even faster?Just wanna see how far this lil beast can go!
Thanks.
Better score in benchmak doesn't always mean faster/smoother working ROM
wow you really got 31k in antutu? my highest ever with my OG is 26k+ using ARTMOD and stock kernel. I don't think that will be healthy for your phone though, since overclocking both CPU,GPU and some other tweaks are not meant to be.
Yes, it was with CM12 nightlies and Solid Kernel v1.6 (Only good things heard bout this one). Will try to post screenie later, after i do the test again. Wanted to fully empty my internal storage, and accidentaly deleted EVERYTHING..
So far CM 12 is fastest & smoothest rom i`ve used. But it`s battery usage monitor confues me alot - google services eats most (20+%), and screen uses 5-10% according to it. Doubt if its true..Oh..and the camera sucks on CM12.

haha yep, i switched back to stock after trying out CM12 its so buggy as hell for now, and yes camera sucks lol and by the way how was the performance using solid kernel? ive been thinking about that kernel for a while.
Well, have to play around with it a bit more..It`s my second day with that kernel, and all i`ve been doing is just messing around with roms - cant really stop doing that when you have started..lol..Benchmarks show better score..thats for sure. But other than that... And be ''went back to stock'' u mean Artmod, or full stock?
About CM12..yeah it feels like ''beta'' (which it is...) but core features calls, messages, and browser, work just great. But cuz of camera i wont use it for long.

well that's really high dang. haha yeah that excitement I went full stock. ARTMOD still has some fixes to be done, i flashed the original KDZ file haha now my phone is really virgin stock lol. I ran antutu on it, i attached it below so you will have a reference of how the Stock performs :highfive: that's the highest i could get on stock. nearly same with artmod.

Well, did the same as you told me! Was able to get up to 18K now I had 24K on my stock KK ROM, my best was on CM10.2 which was 27K, any other guess? Other performance (Games like Real Racing 3) doesn't decrease, not even on recording screen while playing games

To OP who is getting 31k antutu: How much did you overclock to? I imagine the phone must get crazy hot while running antutu.

I'm over clocked to 1.7GHz. And no not "THAT HOT" but rises over 40° I over clocked by SOLID KERNEL. Any other way to achieve more clock rate?

It 's the highest score to look in lollipop, that governor did you use?

Ok to upgrade OS on 3G galaxy tab 3 7.0 model?

Hi.
Sorry for the double post. Didn't get a response in other thread.
I have a galaxy tab 3 7 inch with 4.1.2. Is it a good idea to upgrade the OS? I'm worried it may affect performance negatively. I know that 4.3 included trim support which should improve performance but thought I'd check here.
Thanks in advance.
Which model is yours? t211, t210, t111, t110, etc...
Though it wont decrease performance anyways.

And you are still using 4.1.2!!
upgrade to 4.4.2 and you can install Nolekat v1.1 over it, then install warewolf kernel v008, and then install gapps(whichever you like).
Then debloat it with any way you like.
works MUCH MUCH better then 4.1.2.
PM me if you wish some more explanation.
I'd like to stick with official roms if possible. I heard that it caused stability problems for someone with apps crashing frequently so trying to get some more info on what other people think.

other people think its the best action to upgrade. its your choice if you wish to stay on 4.1.2 or upgrade to 4.4.2 and install some tweaks to improve performance. if you ask my opinion, I would recommend to install the nolekat1.1 and warewolf kernel and then debloat.
and if you still wish to stay on stock, thats fine enough, at least debloat the stock rom for faster performance.
personal experience, i could not use the stock system with whatsapp, hangouts and a few more apps installed and using those almost daily, as it would be so slow to open any app.
And now, i can certainly use my device. My battery drains like 20%(still have 80%) in the whole day with like 1 hour of talk time and 1 hour of general internet usage.
And for the apps crashing problem, i am not sure who told you that, but i have not experienced any app crash that SHOULD not happen.
Okay. Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.

Adreno 540 gpu update boost gaming significant

ALL CREDIT GOES TO THEM I JUST SHARING WHAT I FOUND.
I don't know is this the place I share is correct if not please move this to the correct thread.
I have tested it on my lg v30 I believe is compatible with all model. I even tested in all aosp ROM and los ROM and even stock base ROM it works fine.
Please give the credit to them.

Follow their instruction on how to check and download the correct folder which is Oreo 8.0 latest update which is 3.1.3 rev15.
Well, that's something :good:
I wonder how the throttling behavior or consistent performance is over time with that driver and if it changes anything
So we use 540? Also, noticed it says Oreo but has support for treble...hmm...now I'm curious if it will work with Pie.
Edit: Scratch that, their is a Pie treble section !!
Flashed this on H930DS, working great so far
Nice ty. Totally forgot build.prop tweaks existed. Added those from that thread and a whole bunch of others. Smooooothhhh

Dear zac maybe u can try to implement into your kernel.
Because for now only stock kernel be able to boot. I can't boot using your kernel.
I read that with msm adreno boost it improve everything.
Mayben u can trynto take a look.
And also u can use any kernel for your future development.
Here the link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2670512
I read it make a lot easier
Edit : able to boot using lunar kernel
It does work... I use this, project sky (don't know if it can be found on xda) and ATK op5 1.1 and it works wonders!!! Super fast and smooth.
Ignore - sry
I have updated the driver but after that i have faced 5 random reboots mostly when i use youtube vanced version and one time while opening pubg.
I am on indian stock latest oreo rom.

I have use this driver for more than few week no random reboot and nothing weird happen like the thread op say provide them a log if you have use other system modifications or kernel or whatever modification to your device they will ignore.
Has anyone tried this on the T-Mobile variant?

That happened on the first day itself and after that day no more random reboots. But i didnt see any improvement while playing PUBG, though there is significant increase in the Antutu benchmark score.
I think the improvement part while gaming is more of a placebo effect.

Can you explain what these things mean if you share them with us? Not everyone knows. Thx.
How well does video recording work? Face unlock? How does it affect battery life?
Which zip did you flash? Treble, non-treble? vendor-vendor? Help people out.
I'm not a fan of kernel tweaks. I used to believe in them, but after doing a lot of research, LG developers have really optimized the hell out of the OS and one optimization depends on the other. With Oreo update and the tweaks that used to work well for me in the past just make things slow down or glitch now so I'm skeptical. I will continue reading through that thread to see if there are actual benefits in the real world.
Update: Flashed it. The 540 version non-treble
-In TWRP there is no feedback if it has been flashed. It just says finished. There is no way to double check.
-Wiped Cache and Dalvik
-Camera and video recording 60fps works
-Gaming works, but I get strange microstutter, no difference in fps
-UI works same microstutter
I think it's placebo.

which rom are you using now? TQ
US998 Oreo. Already super smooth.
Update: After more testing and real gaming benchmarks here is my current conclusion:
-This is safe to flash on LG V30. I see no bugs
-Microstutter goes away after another reboot
-Performance for most things is the same BUT there are some games where the performance gains are significant (10-20 fps)
LG will most likely have the updated GPU drivers in the Pie update anyway so either download this or wait until you get Pie.
Newest version is ridic smooth.

Benchmarks show an increase in performance but I have also run into random hiccup freezes. But they are rare. rev23 is by far the most stable. rev22 is unstable!
Update: Yeah, forget it. None of the revisions are stable from my testing. Scrolling and messing around with the camera causes the device to force reboot. I went back to the original drivers and no issues. I also don't notice any performance improvements over the original drivers.
