I bought a htc desire 816 3days back
The both sim were working fine
I just formatted the phone
The sim slot one is not working
The sim slot is set to cdma in settings and not getting changed to gsm or global mode plz help me guys need to use 3g/4g

Hi,
propably after android auto-update my phone could not recognize that SIM card is inserted.
It did not recognize : 2degrees.co.nz SIM card (128k) and Telecom.co.nz SIM.
However another simcard (vodafone.co.nz) is always detected correctly, so SIM card slot is OK.
Now regarding to software :
I had primou kernel before ~ some version from may 2012... I reinstalled that today to 3.0.16-g133e482 ABM018#1 kernel with myONEv RC4.0. FX but ISSUE is still the same :/
I am wondering how i can recognize whether my HTC ONE V is GSM or CDMA phone ? Maybe that`s the thing. I bought my HTC in europe and i am currently in the New Zealand. I used 2degrees SIM in past few weeks but then i started to have problems with it...
I am quite hopeless because i do not excatly know where is hidden problem.

I have htc 816d/v which is dual sim CDMA + GSM variant of HTC 816 . I have install full twrp Indian rom backup from this forum.
Now its working perfectly with all CDMA and Gsm sim cards in India.
But I can't receive any sms on my cdma sim card but when I insert the same sim card on other Mobile I get sms as well .
Does anybody know how to fix it show that I can receive sms on cdma sim as well.
Same problem here after reset it works for some time aftr that it stops....

I have a HTC Desire 816v China Unicom. I am using the phone in India and in SIM Slot 1 i have inserted a CDMA Sim and i cannot receive any SMS or Send any SMS i have already unlocked the SIM from forum.xda-developers.com/desire-816/.../unlocking-htc-desire-816v-cd... I Also cannot change the network settings from 4g LTE to 3g. I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone currently the bootloader says unlocked and S=Of. Can anyone help me out here ? is there any Rom which will help me use the CDMA Sim Slot ?.
P.S in the bootloader the version is A5_DWGL

It says select sim card. One with grayed out, ask everytime not available with messenger
Another with my sim card's name. Please help me ASAP !!
Edit: my phone is dual SIM phone and I'm using only one sim

did you flash CM13 for A5dwg?
Yeah. In about phone the cyanogen version is 13.0-20161218-NIGHTLY-a5dwg

did you clean flash? .. try clean flashing 11/12 build
I am facing an unusual problem in my htc one m9 (viper rom 6.2.0)
If i insert any sim,, the sim does not work it shows limited service
I have tried inserting many diffrent types of sims but same problem(limited service)
Plz can anyone give a solution for this problem
Note:- this problem was there from before,,..7 months ago i had a sim ( jio) only that one sim was working perfectlt . But i have lost that sim now , thats why i tried to install new sim but this problem came

Have you tried another jio simcard?. Maybe it's locked to that network?.

Btw i have solved the problem
I had to make some setting changes in a menu inside the phone dialer by typing *#*#4636#*#* , then i had to change some setting then it started working perfectly
