LG G3 weather and smart card - Sprint LG G2

I know this isn't a theme, but g2 general has apps in there also.
I'm working and learning a lot. Trying to get them to work on our sprint g2.
Those who can help or have knowledge in getting apps to another device contact me.
It looks like a lot of apps are integrated in smart card with weather.

LG Home Launcher removal

Has anyone removed the home Launcher files without any issues... I'm wanting to remove and just use apex in the the system folder
got LGOG?
ive installed Nova launcher without issue not sure about removing the stock one think it might be built into the rom
I just frozed it with the titanium backup.
Works good. Also did it for lg keyboard and other trashy stuff.
No problems.
Frozen HOME launcher and stock keyboard here too. No problems.

Just back up the stock launcher with titanium in case you have issues. I use Nova Launcher on my GNex and always uninstall the stock launcher without issue.

Open gnex and locked optimus cannot be compared.
On gnex if you delete an app - it just disappears.
On optimus deleting can cause the security error.

My bad. I'm so used to be unlocked and running custom Rom I don't know what I was thinking. The crappy ui overlay that gets put on phones is so embedded some times it can really make customization an issue. Should be getting unlocked soon enough

Well, i love the cm either, and i used to be nexus user.
When i signed a contract and received the phone (Ive completely forgot the specs cause never waited this phone, who waits LG?), i asked why 2nd battery is missing
So my way back home i was hoping battery life will be good.
After coming home, first of all i checked the xda for cm... and almost went ape sht after words "Locked bootloader"
So by end of day, i was seriously thinking about refund cause of internal battery, extremely short battety life, locked boot, and trashy oem.
Tomorrow is the last day of 2 weeks i can refund, but thanks for the unlock news, seems like i will continue my journey with OG
Don feel bad i have the l-01E version from japan and no onw is even working on this version. Im starting to serioisly think of selling

[Q] Looking for a good rom for my wife

Just got her phone back from LG after some warranty repair (front keys stopped working) and figured now would be a good time to flash a new Rom for her. I understand that everyone has there favorites but I'm mainly looking for something fully functional. In other words I need both the 3g and 4glte to work as well as camera and anything else she might get mad about if it doesn't work as it did before. I was thinking about cynogenmod but read on the known issues page that 3g don't work
The reason I want to do this is cause she gets jealous of the "cool things" I do with mine such as theme changing
Can do different themes with different launchers, I use nova launcher for example... As for functionality, if she uses maps or gps a lot I would stay with stock, aosp can get *****y about gps then it's a lot of flashing back and forth to reset gps data. Trust me. As for 3g and 4g, I didn't have a problem when I used official cm11, just mainly the gps not locking in very accurately, but a lot of stuff you do on aosp can find workarounds for stock

Lockscreen widgets (music, Netflix etc)

so in my brief time with the galaxy s5, I saw how Samsung decided to remove lock screen widgets which irked me. I see they're continuing their antics with the tab s series.
this makes things like Google music and Netflix useless when using chromecast etc because it removes the easy way to just pause and skip via the lockscreen.
I installed xposed and installed a Galaxy S5 mod that was supposed to enable lock screen widgets again, which I'm sure it did for the s5 users but it doesn't work on the tab.
does anyone have any idea or solution as to the best way to do this? there has to be a way.

Hate this!
Same here, have you found a work around? I mean just listening to music makes it harder to just pause and restart. Always need to make pattern, very annoying!

Yeah....this sucks.
Lockscreen Widgets for rooted Users
Guys, do we have a solution in the meantime or still have to install an alternate launcher ? I am on SkyHigh ROM 4.4.2. and want to stay there for the next months...
I thought @THEDEVIOUS1 (he did it on his ROM) and maybe @Goldie (he did it on the s5 I think) might have a solution for us ?
nobody ? so thats bad news

Hide front touch buttons missing?

I was really hoping that the hide front touch buttons feature would be included in the Lollipop update. I know that my buddy in Sweden just got the LP update on his G2 and it's there. Is there anything that can be done to get the feature turned on or added? Did Sprint just remove it? I'm not interested in flashing a ROM to get it either. I ran Cloudy G2 (G3 UI) for a long time and now I want to stay stock for a while.

Sprint removed a lot! We got the update last and it's been stripped of features compared to other G2 versions. Seems like they hurried it out the door. I really miss wireless storage and lg home theme settings.

I did find what appears to be the command to hide the feature in the manifest xml of LGSystemUI.apk.
com.lge.app.forceHideImmersiveConfirm
true
I'm away from home until tonight but when I get back I'm going to change that to "false" and replace the apk. I doubt that will make it show up but at least I'll know.

Did anyone else noticed that a few LG apps were missing?

Ever since I got the phone, I've been looking for the lg typical calendar app. But no luck here.
I previously had the g3 then g5. And it has always been similar right?
So for now I was settling down with the Google calendar app and enjoying the phone.
Until, I wanted to lower the volume of my tv.... Yet again, with no luck.
I'm not sure for you guys but my phone seems to be lacking the remote control app too !!
I wonder if we could find the apk of the g6 for instance and install it or the g7?
Thanks anyways,
Stiff. B
The remote control app has been gone for a while. Wasn't on my V30 either.
They are moving towards a smarter system with the WebOS app being using to control LG TV's.
The LG WebOS TV app works really well but only with LG webOS smart TV
As for the calendar .. good riddance. Google calendar is better and doesn't require LG backup to transfer it to your new phone. Just sign into Gmail and done
