did u make changes to blobs and use new kernel source before building it or using the old sources?
Cause if you are using old sources then this is not new(We already have booting builds on old sources)

yeah, new kernel, new blobs. I've just started working on this so things are still pretty broken right now.
Edit: making progress. What was the status of the previous attempt? how far did they get?

Well we got baseband working but still ril wasn't working. I guess ramdisk is problem for me. I'm working on it. Do you mind pushing your changes? I and @abcdjdj can help you with it. We had audio working too.
Cheers,
AJ

I guess the problem with audio is missing blobs(atleast that was the prob for us). Can u link to your vendor blobs? If I see the audio blobs missing, I'll make a pull request

Thanks for the tip, but for 4.4 Sony moved from legacy audio with snd_soc_msm to 'regular' audio and sound_mixer.xml ... which I just noticed is not included in my build for some reason.

The build isn't usable for general users and is developer only build so I won't share the link.
BTW got build booting with CAF repos. Thanks a lot to @adfad666 for his help

RIL for dual sim variant fixed.
Much thanks to @adfad666 and @abcdjdj for help and highly appreciated support
Camera, NFC and laggy sensors are last stuff to fix before calling it a nearly usable build

Its probably rude to ask, but could you guys provide us with an update on the development? Its been a long while

Nope, HTC made that posible, Google added exchange to Android 2.0 so from then all future ROMS will support it i think
Good work behnaam - thanks!
Can you help out with a problem though, I'm stuk on a boot loop - so it get's up to the screen saying ' ANDROID ', which then disappears and then comes back again - on and on and on!
Only solution is to remove battery and do a nandroid restore.
Thanks

Lox ROM is for devs, I planning on continuing the development of the 1.6 ROM for Hero. I used Magic's 32A ION 1.6 as base and built from there. Hopefully I get it working correctly.

Alright folks, here's another update... 4.3 is officially merged!! I just did the last part of it and caught with CyanogenMod as far as frameworks goes.

Of course there's loads of things to iron out, but the overwhelming part of merging 4.3 is now behind us!
I'm still not going to promise an ETA, but I will be doing what I can to get everything functioning the way it needs to be. Thanks peeps for remaining patient through a busy part of my life recently. There's quite a bit in store for 2.5. I may even release a alpha version of 2.5 so you guys can get your hands on a 4.3 build with all the cool nifty features and such :victory:.

Same here. Just tried illusion for the first time. Took me a bit to find the right kernel to get it to boot with WiFi and signal, as well as recovery and root. I used the boot.IMG from championswimmers latest aokp. Now everything is working great, and battery life is amaaazing. The problem I have is no auto rotate, and I'm a YouTube JUNKIE, so this tiny screen business is killin me!! Lol. But I'm really liking this key lime pie look, and the transition animations look super slick.

Get an app that lets you switch between orientations as a temp workaround, hopefully this gets fixed in the next version. And thanks for figuring out the kernel, I've been thinking about trying to find one that works when lo and behold someone's already done it!
The only thing I wish would get fixed right away is the inaccuracy of the battery meter, I find that if I reboot with a significant portion of the battery used then it reports the level as being higher than it actually is(50% goes up to 70% or so) which has lead to me running out of battery a few times. I believe this has been fixed in recent CM builds if I remember correctly.
:banghead: duuhh.... lol. I never even thought about an app to control rotation. I just figured if it didn't work, it didn't work. Thanks for the tip. Found an app in no time.

One noob question, since this rom don't come with superuser, how can I get one?

I would assume MMS works because I could call, get LTE, and text. Forgot to test, sorry.
I got notifications but I didn't test the LED because, well, honestly I don't use it. lol. I wouldn't have noticed honestly. I'm really sorry.
But everything else works fantastic.
Music playback is fine,
calls work fine,
text is fast,
Camera focus is great. Like I said, it is one of the best I have seen in a AOSP ROM,
LTE/ internet speeds are pretty good.
And the battery (at least for my phone) didn't get that warm. (Mine usually gets hot on some custom Roms).
Very solid. Once the bottom buttons work (home, back, menu), it will be perfection. They work fine now, they just don't light up.

When you built it initially did you get that error with the liblight?
It might be 'lge_touch_core: Allow disabling the nav keys' kernel commit. Try to revert it on your end.
I can make a branch tomorrow for you if you want. Just tell me which one you are using.

Just want to say thank you for this. Been running great since I installed last night.
Only thing I'm not liking, and it's not your fault, it's an upstream thing is Camera quality. I definitely notice that the quality of the pics on RR are degraded from stock sense. (Yes I've tried multiple cameras) Again just a nitpicky thing. Other than this this is my new DD.

Thanks for the feedback man. Yeah, LOS based for almost all devices are going to be that way with the cameras unfortunately. I am trying to find a fix for this but no luck so far.

If you find a solution you'll be a god...Without knowing much it's gotta be a driver someplace, but that's as far as my understanding of Android and the components go. If we were on a Windows machine talking about tweaking it out, I'd have some better ideas.

Yup I saw that. Though I'm sure he has a list of changes that he's working on. Not sure where the camera in his list of things to address. Don't want to bug him either, all the hard work is appreciated. I'm sure if he has something up his sleeve he'll get to it when appropriate. But hey maybe we'll get lucky and he'll give us a good surprise soon.

That's all I can hope for. We have a capable dev for sure and he maintains several devices.
@andybones is call recording working for Verizon on latest build? If not, are you using AOSP or Google dialer?
Just seen this thread. Awesome tabp0le!!

Hey man, unfortunately not working on 3/02 build. I use the Google Dialer. I flashed the open open stock.zip.
Here is what I see. (the DND icon next to alarm pops up instead of VoLTE)
I got the same as andybones, tabp0le.

Been using open camer. Still not he same. Pictures tend to be grainy due to high ISO values it's using because of camera issues.
When you change the battery icon to "hidden", the icon disappears as expected, but the space for it remains.

Since you guys are using Google dialer the recording isn't working. I should put a notice in OP only AOSP dialer works with call recording.

Hi @tabp0le
Thanks a lot for finally making a thread for this ROM. Best AOSP experience on this phone. I had a small request though. I hope you don't mind. The spacing of the network traffic monitor is a bit larger than the other icons. Could that be made more uniform? Thanks! Also does OTA work?
Oh yeah work for you fine.

No small framework things like that are up to the RR devs. I build as they create it, but add stuff. No OTA as of now.

Totally bonkers but I got it working. Hidden menu over phone (*#*#3646#*#* for those using search before posting for hours like me lol), set to default at LTE/CDMA and power cycled a few times. Making sure to keep persevering and changing it because it likes to default on LTE/GSM/CDMA/WCDMA and that's just not working. I also changed radio band to United States but I don't know if that was all that necessary, but its worth noting. Now its working and I even got VoLTE/AdvCall, the works.
Time to rock me some serious Hello Kitty Adventure Island time.

Oh, update on this. Setting it to United States at least for me is mandatory. If the radio band is on Automatic it will not work no matter which setting its on. The default of LTE/CDMA/UMTS (prl) does not work under any band. LTE/CDMA and Global do however.

Glad it is working for you. A quicker way to access the hidden menu is data usage->three dots at the upper right> then preferred network type. But again glad it's working

@tabp0le is one of the main reasons this rom became possible, software wise, as for hardware wise that would be @thewalkingdude and @buckmarble...........
If you seen his name in the screen shot, then obvious hes mentioned ... also if you look at the front page it says UNDER CONSTRUCTION..
there are many people to thanks.. I just havent gotten there.. would you rather me spend the next 10 days thanking people off the rip, or release a rom so that people can
have something new for a change ?
Also @tabp0le is in chat with me 24/7 on Slack group.. I talk to him everyday.. and he knows I am using his kernel for the building inline..
My kernel isnt setup for inline building yet..............
But yes, thank you for pointing that out to me.. When I get the time. I will finish the OP or have one my other members do it for me...............

Jesus dude was only pointing it out.
If that's the way you deal with people I'll pass on this one, which I'm sure you couldn't care about either way.

Fair enough and good luck.
Thread is Under Construction:
All mentions and features and instructions will be posted,
at the soonest time allowed.
I posted this thread at 12am, Was extremely tired.
Nobody will be left out.
@aclegg2011 and I spend the last 2 days trying to squash the sound and video bug that we were presented with..
Sound was fixed by removing google ffmpeg encoder. Dev options was fixed by disabling the System Reset Protection in system.prop.
Stock camera built with ROM still crashes.. we are working on that.. But all other 3rd party cameras work....................
Video does work as well as recording.. Google Camera doesnt work on video saving because of sdcardfs disabled in device tree..
we are working on this..............................
@Eliminater74 Thank you for your hard working. Btw, I see a new build 0408 in AFH. Are camera issues fixed in this build?
