[Q] Bootloop, and factory reset is stuck [SOLVED] - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My device is rooted with towelroot, I installed supersu afterwards...
before bootloop I installed fontexplorer, and installed few fonts, it asked me to reboot, i rebooted, and now it just bootloop's all the time, LG animation and vibration, I can't get into fastmode, tried all kinds of button combinations..
When I try to factory reset, after pressing yes it shows erasing, and then it's stuck on boot logo, not animation..
Download mode is stuck also, just shows 0% but at least then pc's device manager shows com device found
How to fix this ?
All this happened after I rebooted my phone, before rebooting I installed few fonts with Font Installer ★ Root ★(com.jrummy.font.installer) app

THIS guide will help, you've softbricked, only in this guide you will of course need the dll and tot files for your phone and not Sprint. As long as phone comes on,computer recognizes it, and, it goes into dl mode, you should be good.

That stinks huh?!
I've been using iFont and Fontster from the Play Store without any issues for future reference.

G3s to me are finicky about changing or modifying. I modified one build prop setting, rebooted, same thing as op, mine wasn't bootlooping tho, but stuck on the big red 2 screen. Flashtool is your only friend at this point.

Found similar topic about this.. it's jrummy app again, looks like most of his apps are corrupted..

Wow, I can't believe I fixed it, I thought it's impossible
I just went into download mode and used LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash to stock firmware..

I think I read back when I was unbricking that .KDZ files have to be converted to .tot, to use with this version of Flashtool.

Quick Question
Hey guys,
I am a bit of a rookie with rooting and i have an LG G3 for tmobile. I rooted my phone and had TWRP installed and accidentally attempted to install a software update and it soft bricked my phone. Here is my problem-all of the solutions i am finding for this issue require a PC, and I, unfortunately, am only running on mac software. I have no way to get lg flash on my mac and to make it comparable with my phone. Is there ANYONE who can help me? I am at my wits end and CANNOT believe I was so stupid as not to make a backup flash but I, as per usual, did not think about it at the time. If anyone could help me, I will be forever in your debt.

I believe you can run virtual Windows on a Mac, not sure if it works with Flashtool though.

Unable to boot my rooted LG G3 S (beat), stuck at lg logo.
hello everyone. I recently rooted my lg g3 s (beat) D722K. After a few weeks I was trying to install apps as system apps using ES file explorer for which I had to copy the desired apk in the system/apps directory and restart the phone. it worked for a few apps (which I successfully made sys. apps) but not for a majority of apps . Everything was fine until now . After that I wanted to normally install an apk but the phone was unable to install it showing ' application not installed' . Then I tried to install other apps but got the same result . I decided to reboot my phone but it got stuck on lg logo and won't boot .
I tried to factory reset it using hardware keys but after wiping all the phone data it again got stuck on the same sucking LG logo .
I also tried to update firmware by connecting it to windows(8.1) pc in download mode which didn't work either. The firmware download got stuck at 0% everytime I tried.
please help me in getting out of this issue . I will heartily appreciate any help regarding this issue.
thanks.. in advance.

KDZ file extracts corrupt CAB file

Hello guys,
I upgraded my friend's recently purchased LG Optimus G.
I rooted the phone successfully with TWRP recovery.
I Unlocked the boot loader successfully.
I flashed a custom android 4.3 rom.
The phone was working absolutely fine.
Then, my friend took it home with him, and tried to flash another custom rom (He is a noob).
Now, after rebooting, the phone flashed the 'google' logo with a grey 'unlocked lock' icon and the screen goes blank.
I can not even figure out if the phone is on or not (the soft keys does not light up if I touch them).
After all, I tried to use the UNBRICK method using a guide but the problem is that the software won't proceed after extracting .KDZ file.
I tried downloading .KDZ file using the xda app which asks for phone model and serial number for the download, several times but no success.
I tried downloading the .KDZ file using a URL in which i have to write the IMEI number to get myself a download link. That shows corrupted too.
Can anybody help me to get a working KDZ file?? I think this will get me through the process.
OR
If there is any other possible way, please let me know.
Thanks in advance

I had the same problem. Try downloading several KDZ files cause the programm won't download the good one at once. I got mine at the 4th attempt.

1: Google logo plus unlock icon seems nexus device. May be he tried to convert it to nexus 4. I never tried it nor know if it requires any different way to get stock, so search.
2: download kdz from here choose 1gb or less kdz.

kdz installer we have cant extract files greater than 1.05 GB i do manage to get 1 or 2 files that were 1.08 GB but most wont.
max is 1.05 GB in my experience.
okay, thanks for the information!
Hey! I have done the download, used the update tool in CS_EMERGENCY mode, done with everything. now the phone is stuck on the LG logo..
I put it in recovery mode, and i used the wipe tool which was told in the guide, but the phone again stuck with a lying android bot with an exclamationary sign in a triangle.
What can I do next?
This happens.when you are not reading before. If you would do that, you would see that you need to perform a hard resetafter using kdz updater.
My advice, use the updater again and do a hard reset.on stock it's easy.

Don't know what guides you all are using
Only guide you need
1: get kdz 1.05 GB or less for your specific phone
2: using kdz flasher flash the kdz
3: if your phone boots goto backup and reset and do wipe. If not shutdown phone and do hard reset / wipe
4: root your phone And i mean just root your phone.
5: use freegee to unlock boot and get custom recovery. (If you want this)

U missed the hard reset!! Since kdz is dirty flashing!
This is so frustrating. I've downloaded kdz file so many times from 1.05Gb to a 0.98Gb, none gives a correct extraction in kdz update.

OK, my problem was Windows 8.1... The phone is well recognized by LG Tool under W7, but now I have another major problem, at the last step, when the tool begins to flash the rom, it goes until 5% and then this popup box blocks the flash "battery level is low and upgrade is unavailable"
I have reload fully my battery (I plugged it into the G PRO dock)... still the same message.
Any help please ?
Did you manage to resolve the issue? I am just having the very same problem and a bit lost and cannot risk flashing anything right now.

[Q] LG G3 security error

Just got the phone today and successfully rooted it and I wanted to see what this xposed framework stuff was about I installed the experimental version (tbh did really read it was experimental it was on the front page so I thought it was alright) and when prompt to reboot I did, but now when rebooting I can't get passed the Lg secruity error screen I tried re-flashing back to stock using this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799647 but nothing happens after I plug my G3 back in it just says ready is there any other way to fix this security error?
edit:found out that my model number is actually the f400s (sorry i'm a phone noob) for anyone else out there trying to find your phone model it's actually behind the battery

Again I ended up resolving the issue myself and I do not have a picture of the error but I can describe it. When booting my lg g3 the normal big Lg logo appeared then after a bit a smaller lg logo appeared with the words "security error" under it for those looking for a solution to that problem the thread in the op is the correct action to take to resolve the issue. Note doing that wiped everything on my phone which was not a big deal for me but I had to take my phone back the the carrier to input the configuration to access 4g lte again & it unrooted my phone.
i have this same issue can you tell me how you got around it?

jerimynal wiley the error you get "secure boot error" is caused by image you are trying to boot not being bumped or not properly flashed. I assume you get this error both while trying to access recovery and OS. If that is the case you should use this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089&nocache=1
to flash stock firmware on your device.
But if you have a case where you are able to access your recovery (TWRP I assume) you could use one of the custom images provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development (assuming you have D855 version) . Flash them and use them as OS.
Thanks man. I actually could get into recovery so I just flashed another kernel

Hi!
1. Find and install the drivers for your G3 for Windows.
2. Connect your G3 to the PC by USB, switch it to Internet/Ethernet USB mode.
3. Find and run LGMLauncher.exe (LG Mobile).
4. Once LG Mobile recognizes your G3, choose the menu option in the upper right corner and choose "Update Recovery".
This will completely wipe your phone including your internal storage, get the latest stock ROM for your phone. It might unroot it too, so be aware.
Maybe anyone else with more experience will have less radical suggestions.
Hi it's working using the LG pc suite did optional step and factory reset and phone is back to stock no root or SU on device so I think I'm back to stock and good to go.
Thanks for advice though

LG G3 stopped working after installing recovery

Today I was trying to install a custom rom, but I messed it up and had to reset it to stock rom.
After that I reseted it back to stock rom, I rooted my phone with Kingroot and used this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=b007.autorecd855 to install recovery. After that I powered off my phone and now it won't turn on. Already removed battery a plenty of times, when putting in the charger nothing happens, pc won't see it also.
The only moment when my phone lights up is when I remove my battery and put it in the charger, then it basically says that it's charging but with no battery in it. Also when removing the battery and connecting to my pc it only sees it as a unrecognizable device.
Suggestions on what I can do? IF not, poor me, gonna buy a new smartphone then.
Btw, I still have some garanty. Maybe it's worth sending it to the support services.

Hmm, I was really sure that I used the right one.
Anyway, how can I flash it again if I can't even get the lg logo to show, neither get him in download mode or that my pc recognises him?
Btw, I still have some garanty. Maybe it's worth sending it to lg.
If you have no access to any recovery mode, Fastboot or download mode.then use the method of Qualcomm 9008.btw your warranty is void because you have rooted device and messed with it.

i remember after 1 day of having this phone this happened this was likely caused by having the latest boot loader i remember this because i fresh installed the marshmallow kdz after that i installed autorec mm it told me to restart and my phone died there, however after spending 8 hours straight i found a solution the smart boot diagnostics tool can write an older version of the boot loader understand that your phone must be in the qdloader9008 mode, if your PC doesn't detect the phone make sure you install the drivers in the zip from the download install the 32 bit if on 32 bit system or install 64 bit on 64 bit system. Hey if you need assistance on doing this Download team viewer and i'll be more than welcome to help unbrick our d855
