Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications

Could you confirm if device encryption is enabled in this ROM?
Thanks!
.....Well, to answer my own question, it does! Downloaded and running the ROM now, encrypting the phone as we speak.....so far so good

I was hyped when I noticed this thread a few minutes ago.
Is this not officially supported? Cause I can't find the build on their storage page.
Are you a part of the team? Is this built from source by you?
Thanks.

I am an official maintainer for Xperia V but I will try to get official support from vanir for z1 compact after I fix bugs on the Xperia V builds. Of course, this is built from source and is stable for daily use as confirmed by @rob rich I will try to squeeze in time to update. Wanted to update it today but I had no time left.
Sent my Xperia P running CyanogenMod

This will be in next build(hopefully by Friday)
I had time to build today but vanir screwed their sources. It was trying to build Samsung stuff for Z1 Compact.

Really nice rom:good:
All the goddies from pa and omni plus some more. Not a single feature I am missing.
I would really appreciate it if you would keep maintaining vanir for z1 compact to maybe get official support one day.
Good luck for your exams :highfive:

Yeah, its really really good mate
More people should try it

The only annoying bug I have found so far, is that the back button sometimes lags a little. Maybe it is related to the new 5 button navbar settings. But even if you don't change anything in this settings the back button sometime lags...

OK, didn't know that because I haven't used CM for a long time. I can not tell if the bug was present in your older builds, build 3 is the only one I used. So I think there is nothing you can do to fix this bug, right?

nice to see a official thread
Seems nice. And as it is an official build, I'll surely give it a try.
BTW, how does 'Save Power' function works? What does it actually do?
Thanks!
Three options available now: off data when screen off, off GPS when screen off and conserve CPU usage when screen off...the first two are obvious lol, the CPU one ramps the CPU to the lowest frequency on screen off...
You do know that pressing on the left beside the toggle will show you the options right?
For me , that's one of the best rom based on KK
Really good rom.. A bigt hanks :good::good:

I think OTA update for official release because when I refresh ota for nightly no new update found.
But when i chekh full download show me nightly 0128.
Is it true?!
SeNt frOm gOOglE NeXuS PrImE
Release is different from nightly...if you tick all updates, of course they will all show up...more info:
Release: odexed, more stable, usually released once per week
Nightly: deodexed, cutting edge/WIP features (maybe bugs?), updated daily
I flash nightly 0128 ROM.
When run camera and switch to panorama mode show me black screen.
How to solve that issues?
I install another camera program and work panorama mode.
Help me pls.

Got the same problem, but with the nightly.
Thought it might be a bad download, but if it's the same with stable it's probably a problem with the Rom itself.

I believe it might be the ROM issue, I am moving from an AOSP based ROM. I have downloaded the release version 3 times and the nightly once, none of them had any luck. Not trying to bash this ROM or giving it less support, I would install it if it works within a week, since switching ROMs is painful.
It's OK...I understand the pain...Will get this thread closed until issue resolved...sorry bout that guys...

CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op

Tried the February 6 official build, seems great. But seems to be lacking a few features, e.g. an ability to display the date in the status bar. Other than that, it's been a smooth ride so far.
Just a question, is it possible to flash an unofficial build over an official build, or an official build over an unofficial build when updating?

Running the unofficial February 7 build, very nice. Buttery smooth performance. Not sure why this thread is going unnoticed.
Bugs:
1. The keyboard randomly stops accepting input, but starts working fine again after locking and unlocking the phone. Happens a few times every day.
2. Proximity sensor does not turn off screen during calls.
3. Sometimes the person on the other end can't hear me when I make an outgoing call, but it seems to work fine when I call them again.
Feature Requests:
1. Colour calibration options in kernel
2. Option to display date in status bar
3. Dark Material theme

Could you please add screen controls from this link to your kernel :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software-hacking/dev-kcal-advanced-color-control-t3032080
It enables saturation, contrast and gamma controls and other advanced things such as grayscale mode.
Kindly implement it in your rom/kernel ASAP ! I was really looking forward to this feature !
Thank You !

Omni does NOT provide root by default. You MUST flash SuperSU in recovery for any type of root
Omni is not compatible with MultiRom, so whenever you try flashing this ROM as primary or secondary and it´s not working for you is your fault. No reports are welcome or will be answered related to this.
Omni does not take responsability on fails regarding XPOSED, your mod, your troubles. No reports are welcome or will be answered related to this.
NO QUESTIONS REGARDING FEATURES INCLUDED IN THIS ROM. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT THIS INCLUDES, FLASH AND TEST BY YOURSELF. ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS WILL BE IGNORED. ENJOY!
NO EXTERNAL BUILDS ALLOWED! IF SOMEONE SHARES ANY BUILD I WILL CLOSE THE THREAD UNTIL THAT USER DELETES THE POST.
Even as primary, it wont work with multirom. So sad gotta flash back twrp

Yup, i can confirm this.
Hi,
I've had the same « no phone sound » problem, so, I've tried to build my own ROM from Omni source, and the new one (Android 6.0.1) is ok at this level, but because I'm not an expert in ROM build, I know there is others bugs (like in Google Keep, or in Launcher3 settings), but I'm using it now, and it's works
I'm using ElementalX 6.07 kernel, I think the kernel embedded in my build wont boot… (I've tried only once)
I've had problems importing proprietary blobs from your rom, so I'm using it from cm13 build, dont know if it's a good idea or not.
[edit] sorry, i forgot this rule…

Hi!
Well, I did not post yet, since I´m finishing a few features for Omni and use OnePlus One as my main device.
Android 6.0.1 fixed the in-call issue, which I already merge dyesterday in github. A new build is coming today with all fixes and a few features, but need a little more time for releasing it(I already run it on my Nexus 5).
But, no ROM sharing is allowed here, so please, delete that link for sharing your own build. When I have it ready I will post it, and so users will can enjoy it. Thanks!

Hi herna,
Thanks for your job, I'm sure that your rom will be clearly more stable that mine !
I deleted my link, but you've quoted my post…
Hello guys!
Here there is a new release. First of all just tell that my changelogs are based on big differences between latest build and newer one. We do not provide a feature list, so if users are interested into them we suggest you to give OmniRom a try, you´ll like it! So the changelog is the next:
* Android 6.0.1_r3: Updated to latest Android release branch with its new features and 1st December patch.
* Fixed call issues: Now you can hear when making calls.
* Welcome back More: Re-added again More settings, available at Interface.
* Full screen recents: Now you can enable fullscreen recents, available at More.
* Add option to disable search bar in recents: Now you can hide the search bar in recents, available at More.
* DayNight improve storage summary: Now storage section is fully finished for Dark Mode.
* Header image packs: Now you can choose what images you want for the statusbar header image feature at bars. All information in maxwen github.
Download link at OP, enjoy!
EDIT: Wanna apologize that this build has some work in progress I´ve being working on and released for bacon, and forgot to delete for this build. All of it works but is not merged yet in Omni. They will be deleted in next build if don´t get merged before new release. Those changes are:
* Double tap to sleep: Now you can send your phone to sleep by double taping on status bar. Option at Bars.
* Enable voice lockscreen shortcut: Now you can select if you want the Google voice shortcut at lockscreen or the dialer one. Option at Lockscreen, in the Interface section.
* Launcher 3 welcomes dark mode: Now Launcher will change it´s look to dark mode if it´s enabled.
Truly nice work herna, and thank you for the prompt build.
Quick question: Do the current (6.x) builds, support system-less root?
Is it just me or download link for build 11/12 is not there yet? Eagerly waiting for it.

I just flashed and can't root either way. I think we need to flash a custom kernel first. I'll report back.
Edit: SuperSU V2.62 systemless got the job done
Seems theres no icon for this
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
I would also like to report that i have no signal when using 2G and roaming icon doesn't appear as 'R'
Also theres no simtoolkit
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
-disregard-
Anyone having an issue with time? I got wrong time on boot in this rom.
On every reboot, whatsapp will complain about wrong date and time before my nexus connected to network and time will be corrected as i set auto date & time in settings. Twrp also reporting the wrong time.
Clean flashed, flash without root, all giving the same issue. I think i saw somewhere in OPO section of this similar issue which related to some flags for the kernel during compiling. Sorry if the issue is already known.

F.A.Q:
What is the base of ROM??
A: As you can see in the OP, it's based on LineageOS
Is it the ROM pre-rooted?
A: No. It's necessary to do the flash of Magisk or SuperSU
How about CMActions?
A: Not included yet. I'm getting problems while building with CMActions included in device tree (see attached files). While I don't solve it, you can go using GravityGestures. Included! Update of day 08/30 or newer have it.
About the bugs/issues we have in ViperOS, how much of they we have?
A: You tell me. But PLEASE search before you post. If you don't found a solution here, post it, and remember to get a logcat.
I have a issue with Modem. Any solution?
A: Yes. Try to flash the clean_modem_status.zip and see if returns to work (Thanks to @bhb27 to provide us this GPS fix)
How to get a logcat?
A: Check it here. If you're using BHB27 Kernel Adiutor, it's so much simple, go to Logs section and press the "logcat" option.
Is it the BHB27Kernel working on this ROM?
A: Yes, it's working.
Xposed works?
A: Yes it's working, as Scrluiz said (Thanks to @Scrluiz for check it)
I have a bug and I have installed Xpos...
A: Stop. If you want to report a bug or anything like that, uninstall Xposed first. I won't give any support until you uninstall the Xposed

Another one! Quark is not dead guys!
Just loaded on my Verizon droid turbo.
Do we need to flash super user?
Edit, ha ha just saw the answer.
@Hlcpereira I want to say to you and everybody that's using/testing ViperOS now... ROM is compatible with Xposed Nougat (Unofficial), I tested and it's working on first boot including the ROM itself, GApps and Xposed flashable zip (by PurifyOS)! I don't know if you already know it, but I'd like to say it in another forum from here, it's too soon to tell about the ROM, but it's very stable and I love this black theme on settings!

Hello Hlcpereira really enjoying the ROM today. Had some problems last night with Google not syncing my contacts and getting SuperSU properly installed.
But retried this morning and got it all worked out. Thank you very much for sharing this with us. Really enjoying it, and look forward to running for quite some time.

Try reflash the GApps. If its FC after that, try flashing an older package of same variant. Check it here. And remember to get for 7.1.
Don't know if this is a bug or not , but last night and then again tonight if I open map's my phone shuts down.
It will restart and I can use any app but map's.
Here is a pic of it dropping down to zero and back up to 34 after reboot.

Here it's all right with Maps. I don't know if its because I'm using BHB Kernel, but anyway try uninstalling and installing Maps again. If don't solve it I'll check it better in this weekend.
Probably just the same deal as with all the other 7.1 Roms phone shutting down before it should.
I've had this happen before on other ones but when it happened on those it wouldn't reboot until I put it on the charger.
I did as you suggested though.
