Theme works with TWRP 2.3.1.0
1. Download zip of your choice and rename it to ui.zip
2. On SD card open TWRP folder and create folder theme
3. Copy ui.zip in theme folder
4. Restart phone in Recovery
Change background
1. Download background.rar
2.rename background your choice in background.jpg
3.background.jpg copy in ui.zip folder images
not suitable for Theme Dark & Light

test this .xml [deleted]
but there can be problems because buttons have different size and other space
edit:tomorrow will edit the Basic theme and make sense Theme with same button size

i am not gone add that
still missing the lines in the xml files for the buttons

i think you can better redo it with that basic theme from 2.3.1.0
so we have the correct xml and fixes for the 2.3.1.0 recovery
so i hope you redo it,cant wait to try it

so we now have the first theme with the latest xml file from dees-troy
i try it right away
keep up up the great work

not working it stays on the first background from twrp what coming up the first time when you go in to the recovery
and then it goes in a loop (did you try it yourself)
I like this theme very much, good job!!!
But can anyone confirm it works without loops or other errors?
Don't want to render my recovery unusable... Just being cautious here!

To use the TWRP Theme, just go to /sdcard/TWRP on your device and create another folder named, theme. Then place the ui.zip inside of the theme folder. Reboot in to your custom recovery and enjoy. If you want to delet it, then just delete the zip file.

I made this thread because I know some people like myself, might not know about other threads in other sections, that still might apply to our device, the S4...
TO INSTALL:
Open up TWRP folder on internal sd card
Create folder named theme (case sensitive)
Download any of these zips, change its name to ui.zip
Move the ui.zip file to the theme folder you just created
Restart into recovery.
Themed.
I'll just link to the threads I've found with custom twrp themes. Follow my instructions and it'll work fine. Some of these are different sizes, but they all look fine on the s4.
This one is an aroma installer. I'm not sure if anyone wants to try using it with the s4, but you can extract the theme zips from inside, and then follow my steps above.

Ah, yea, it can be fun lol. I'm currently porting some of NorthLight, Primokorn and as well as z31s1g's themes. So far, I have knocked out XDA_Origin, Pip_Boy_V3, and Holofied Play. Got much more to do lol. Anyways, good luck.
I'm using 2701 and have done everything right but only get the splash sn of the theme then goes back to default can anyone help? I have tries both ways flash & ui.zip

Splash screen is found within the recovery itself, and not the theme. Are you using the correct resolution for your device? Have you gone to your TWRP folder on your device and then created a subfolder called, themes, and within that subfolder, placed the ui.zip?

Hello everyone today I want to share original samsung theme chooser with you all. I have seen many people requesting for it in posts so I thought of posting it here.
Requirements:
1. Rooted Device.
2. Root explorer.
3. Download files from attachment.
How to Install:
1. Remove old theme chooser ( but dont remove theme selecting option from homescreen )
2. Extract downloaded files.
3. Open root explorer go to /system/app and put secthemechooser2 folder there.
4. Put theme_app_list.xml in csc folder.
Set folder permission to 0744 and files permissions to 0644 and reboot.
Confirmed working on Grand Prime SM-G531F ( try on other models at your own risk )

Doesnt have theme store but its officially from samsung update. And have samsung official themes.
I get an error when I open theme changer.
