Why don't you contact T-Mobile directly ? You can mail them or call them. You haven't got any other alternative.
Ah Yes there is another one as heliosfa said : Wait for the Devs to get an unlocker here - Free
why do people not read replies when it is something that they do not like?
Currently, apart from methods mentioned above, there is no way to unlock the universal[/u]

i was wondering, if anyone here has gotten the unlock code from T-mobile, does it take exactly 28 days or is it usually a week or something?
I just took my device to a local shop here in tampa, the guys said he will call me back in like 2-3 hours with the unlock code, i pay him $90 dollars when i get the code and if it works.
He said some really interesting stuff about a guy in Ukraine who unlocks the phones.
Can anyone here also explain how the unlock process works? and if anyone is working on the unlock, what is the current stage it is on, i really don't want to pay the $90, so if i can wait a week, i will, i really need a phone. Thanks to all.

Touch Pro 2 Tmobile Unlock Code

Hey folks,
I know that the hardspl isnt out for the phone yet, but i see all these sites offering unlocking services for the phone, some charge between $15-30 is this even possible on this phone? Tmobile wont give me the sim lock code due to the fact its a 14day grace period of buying the phone, for returns.
Please advise if this is even possible, is there any kind of sim lock impi generator for the phone? Thanks so much
unlock
Just wait 90 days and you can get the code for free, or if you want you can use unlockkings.com those guys are great for codes right away.

Why no unlock code?

OK soo i jus purchased brand new never used ATT branded tilt2... it's still SIM locked-i need to unlock it so i can use it on tmobile.right now i am using the first generation tilt (also att branded) with tmobile service, it runs great and perfectly. i have tried purchasing to get the unlock code remotely twice within the last 2days but both parties said i either gave them the wrong imei or that they cant find the unlock code.WHY IS THIS??? i really need this phone unlocked!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME! n/or tell me why is it that the code can't be found???~thanks
try this he is well known here http://www.htc-unlocks.com/
what i usually do is call At&t and tell them that i'm going on a business trip overseas and need it unlocked and then they'll email me the unlock code.
Done this for several devices with them.

[Q] Sim Unlock SGH-T989D

Hey guys,
Sorry if this question has been asked over and over already. I tried searching but cant seem to find a definite answer.
Is there a way to SIM Unlock the TELUS SGH-T989D? I already tried the unlockers on the market, including the ones that need Root, but they arent working.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance.
PS. For Telus S2X owners, how did you sim unlock your phone? (which website did you use to get unlock code)
i know that the t-mobile version which i think is in the same boat, needs an unlock code that you have to get from your carrier or a website. I used a unlocked website cellunlock.net and use the discount code android50.
i also did my research and this was the only answer i could find
Obviously you simply need a unlocking code to unlock this phone. I unlocked it on the spot from a phone store that was not from telus but all he did was that he made a phone call to request for a code.
AT&T skyrocket phone users have trouble unlocking their phones because AT&T claims that their phones are specifically designed for their carrier only which I think is probably untrue.
Anyway, I did unlock my LG G2X using a site called unlockthatphone.com at $15. Try that site. Also, I think it is a good idea to call Telus as well directly.
Pickup the phone dial 611. Ask t-mobile.. Tell them your going somewhere outside the country and you need unlock code.. It should arrive 3 to 7 days in your email you give them.

Thanks guys. I just went ahead and got the unlock code from a website for $20.

[Q] Selling Note 2 - What to do with Unlock Code?

I recently paid off my Note II in full and I am ready to sell it. I am a bit confused about the unlocking process, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I've put the unlock code request in with T-Mobile. Once I receive the e-mail with the code, what do I do with it if I want to sell the device? Do I put it up on Ebay and say "Comes with unlock code", or is there a way I can unlock it myself to sell?
I ask this, because from what I see, I have to put a different carrier's SIM in the phone to unlock it. Since I only use T-Mobile, I don't have another SIM. I looked on Ebay and I see a lot of TMobile Note 2's that already come unlocked, so I guess I am wondering how I can offer a pre-unlocked phone without manually shipping them the code to do it themselves. I don't want to have any questions about me trying to cheat any buyer.
Any tips would be appreciated. Search function is down, or else I would have used that first.
Or should I not worry about it at all and let the buyer deal with the unlocking? The phone has zero account issues.

Get a friends sim card and unlock the phone. Take a screen shot of it working with att and tmo and post both pics so the buyer is reassured that its actually unlocked. Once u unlock it, put ur tmo sim back in. It should work fine.

So the unlock isn't restricted to the SIM? Once it's unlocked, it's then free and clear to use any sim you throw at it without needing the code?

An IMEI unlock is permanent , similar to buying a " factory unlocked" device. Once its complete find a friend with a SimpleMobile ot ATT micro sim and take photos of the phone on both carriers and list it for sale.
Awesome. Thanks for the help!
