Is there a flashable OTA zip anywhere? - T-Mobile LG G3

I just wanted to find out if there was a flashable zip for the recent OTA that came out a week or two ago?
If not, what is my option to upgrade and get rooted and also having a functioning wifi tether (hacked /rooted, etc like Autoprimes mod or wifi tether router app?) From my understanding, the OTA borked the tethering but I use it all the time at work. I see Autoprime said he has a test version out for donors and hopefully in a week or so he might have an update to his tethering mod.
Thank you,
Whiteice

It's doubtful that anybody will publish a rooted OTA because it takes a lot of work. To upgrade, your best bet is to download the full upgraded and rooted stock ROM available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/development/rom-zonerom-07-24-14-deodex-t2827304
Note that there are several ROMS on that page ... but you can stick with the stock one and dirty-flash. Personally, I made the move to ZoneROM and I'm pretty happy for it.
Remember to thank @zone23 for his/her hard work.
...Also tethering is indeed borked.

First of all, thanks for the link because that helped me a lot. But I am confused by your first sentence. Isn't the rom in that link exactly what we need? Is it different because the OTA is just a upgrade from a small file while the link has the full rom? And since I am asking so many questions, will that rom work good just dirty flashed in twrp, not changing anything else?

Yeah, it's not a small OTA, it's the whole ROM. But you can upgrade with it, nonetheless. So yes, it's what you need.
There have been varying reports on the new (m) ROM. My personal experience is excellent with the latest ZoneROM. My screen is fixed (no over sharpening), my battery life is decent, etc. The only issue I've had is tethering and Prime Tether should be out soon (hopefully). In the meantime, other people have had success with one of the tethering apps in the play store.
As always, backup first, then just try it out. If you don't like it, just restore.
Good luck!

Thank you, that was easy to do. I did put a fresh battery in last night and I woke to %10 battery so something is wrong but hopefully I can find the culprit.

Ouch.

So, if I use the stock rooted to upgrade, it is indeed already rooted? Do I need to do anything else once I flash to root?

There should not be anything else you need to do except reapply any customizations you had. I set my dpi back to 540 and re-enabled my Xposed modules.
... Oh wait... There's a new radio that came out with the m rom. I haven't applied it yet myself, but you may want to hunt it down and flash that as well.
I heard it was available somewhere in the zonerom thread. Again, I just haven't looked, personally.

[NEW] Basic tFC06 ICS 4.0.3 rom for easy flash.

First of all I would like to than all the amazing devs in this community because without them we wouldn't have all this fun.
I'm not taking credit for anything but putting this together.
The idea was to make transition from GB (or any other ICS build) to FC06 as easy as possible.
This rom is based on Calkulin's stock rooted deodexed FC06 and he deserves all credit for it.
The status bar icons and some other colors and looks are from Tiffan84 and she should be credited for that.
Kernel comes from Team Rogue and credit and our thanks goes to them.
Calculin's format all script is incorporated in updater script as well.
It's very hard to keep up with all this leaks and updates but I decided to give it a shot with FC06.
I tried to combine everything in one place and added some build.prop tweaks for battery life, smoothness and speed.
Running this rom for about a day and so far so good.
I'm not posting any screenies since it's pretty much stock look.
Build prop has been tweaked for
*deeper sleep for battery save.
*net.tcp's for faster 3G
*proximity sensors for less black screen after call
*telephony for faster call
*tweaks for overall responsiveness
and some more.
So instead of flashing FC06 in 3-4 steps this will flash it in one.
I have tested it and flashed over EL27, FE21, and FC05.
Just place rom into root of your sd card and flash in recovery.
Script will:
1. Format all (data, cache, boot, system).
2. Flash Rom.
3. Flash Kernel.
Just reboot and enjoy.
Here is the link for brave ones (since you don't know me and my previous work):
http://dev-host.org/SQz
You would need to flash modem separately. I have tried to incorporate that into script as well but it didn't work. If some one can give me a hand with that that would be great but for now you can download modem zip file from here:
http://www.buildarom.com/E4GT/Modems/E4GT_Modem_FC05.zip thanks to Calkulin as well.
Flash modem after you flash rom and you should be good.
All known bugs are still present and I didn't discover any new ones.
Any feed back and/or bug report is greatly appreciated.
Edit: If you would like to go back to your previos build/settings you can restore Nand back up.
It works for any back up made using CWM recovery. Has been tested by me. For more info read post #28 on page 3 of this thread.

Hope this will be handy for those who is confused with all the steps they gotta take to flash ICS over GB.
I made something similar for transition from 2.1 to 2.2 on samsung moment and it was very popular and had a lot of downloads.
So I thought this might be useful here as well.

At this moment there not many known bugs.
GPS is gettings stack sometimes but reboot takes care of it.
Mail exchange is hit and miss.
Some people having camera issues but it's not common.
That's pretty much it for now on FC06 build.

It just updates on first start and it's working fine after that.
Just want to say your concept is definitely needed up in the forum and I am surprised I have not seen more posts up in your thread but I think do to the current amount of individuals unfortunately bricking their phones many may be worried.
May I suggest to those of you who do use this and have successfully used this method, to kindly list what GB/ICS rom/recovery you were coming from when using this.
It will help ease the fear of others in here...

Stock installable ROM (with Root?)

Hey,
Are there any stock roms we can flash via CWM/TWRP? Flashed the CM10 rom, but can't stand how slow its made my wifi. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Slow wifi? I have no idea what you're talking about as I don't think CM10 can affect that in any way.
TWRP is all we have so far, and CM10 is the only ROM so far. The only other ROM even remotely being worked on is MIUI but the person doing that says he will be without his PC for a few days.
If you really have wifi issues check other devices on the same network and use speedtest.net or something. If it really is oddly slow, I would re-flash.

It's definitely not my network, specifically occurring on the KF2 with the unofficial CM10 rom.
I'm not looking for another group release, but the stock rom; someone else mentioned in a thread being able to rename the amazon update .bin file to .zip, and flash with TWRP, but that hasn't worked so far.

I'm trying to find a stock rom, that has the hacked wifi hotspot. That's it...I dont need any fancy stuff. No themes, no errors...etc.:good:
Look in development. If you want the Samsung features like s-pen you will need touch Wiz. If not AOSP is probably smoothest. You will have to go through them to find the tether option. Not sure which have it.
Over and out.
I have always ran pure stock rooted roms when I want trouble free times and used the wifi tether apk that can be found. Most of the pure stock roms don't let u use the hot spot toggle from your settings but the wifi tether app will do u the same.
The main 2 things I root for is adaway and wifi tether even though I hardly use wifi tether or hot spot but when I do need it is there.
I am currently running the sts mk4 rom which is a stock based rom and it is running very smooth just an FYI for you. Although I haven't tried to connect anything with it the hot spot toggle didn't give me an error when I toggled it on so it appears to have it working.

You have to expect occasional bugs with any aosp roms.... The devs have done a great job keeping this device current.... Considering official support ended with 4.1.2.
If you want total stability on your phone.... Stock 4.1.2 TouchWiz might suit you best.
Just my 2 cents. ?

You might try using a stable Jelly Bean ROM that's been around for a while, such as the older builds of CyanogenMod (10.1.3), AOKP (JB-MR1), SlimBean 4.2.2, etc. If you still have a bad experience with those, you should probably go back to stock. You can always root and install Xposed on stock for extra tweaks.

I'm learning as well with you guys! Can't wait for the ROMs to kick off and this phone to really be used to it's full potential!
Hello guys, I just rooted the phone (even tho it came with an unlocked bootloader) I just checked the android development section... and there are no roms? Is that right or am I looking in the wrong subforum?

See the discussion over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6/help/roms-t3131294
I posted full instructions on that thread, but I am running this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...ment/sac23ram9200srintdeoxedmoddedv1-t3107342 with the Ktoonsez kernel from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...elopment/kernel-kt-sgs6-ocv-ktweaker-t3093009

Wow @koop1955 you really are Einstein! I'll get to flashing right away, I have already rooted but had not encountered the deep sleep problem so I wont do that install yet.

If you are not experiencing the issue, then there is no need to flash.
If however you take the plunge and install TWRP, you will probably need this.

I tried to be clear that this was for the tutorial, not needed for you...yet.
If you are going to flash a ROM, even via FlashFire, I believe that you will trip Knox. Same with a custom kernel. (Joe, can you ask a dev?) That said, if flashing a ROM is in your future or if you want to include this in your tutorial, then you might as well flash and use TWRP. And if you flash TWRP, you should flash the patch.
Joe, I hope to see you on the Dark Side soon...we have cookies! (And some pretty cool ROMS!)
