Where are Play Store apps stored? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have, in the past, extracted the .apk from one device and installed it it another that was not supported. For example, the Sportscenter app only works on half my devices. Where are the apps stored on 4.3? I found the system apps, but the store apps have eluded me.

Sideloaded Amazon App Store to see all apps but now apps in recent menu dont work

Hello,
I saw in a video that if you sideloaded the Amazon App Store to your FireTv you could then see all sideloaded + regular apps in the app section instead of having to go down to system, mange, apps, ect. However, now I cannot click the app icons under recent in the first menu of FireTV. I assume this is because of installing the App Store correct? Anyway to keep the app store and make those apps clickable again?
Had the same issue. Uninstalled it and they work again. I would like to see if anyone had any luck with this if so what version of the app store did you use?
Try this
Found this on the Amazon Appstore. It is not the prettiest app, but will show on your home and app screens. Just click on it for a list of all of your installed native and sideloaded apps.
Search for Application Organizer Pro (Fire TV Edition)

[Q] Is it possible to automatically update side loaded apps on firetv stick?

I have a firetv stick with apps sideloaded. Is there a way to automatically updates those apps?
Yes, with third party app stores. You do not wanna auto update with third party app stores though, cause sometimes it installs fake apps. I use 1mobile market and Aptoide to update my apps, but I always update them one at a time. I have three apps that always say they need to be updated in Aptoide, but they are really downgrades, so thats an example of the problem you might have with updating apps through third party app stores. I actually think I prefer using third party markets and downloading apps from the internet, than I do the play store. The only advantage the play store has is some apps need the play store to run, but the solution is to find another app that does the same thing that does not need the play store to run.

Thank you for your advice. Would you happen to have links to those markets? Thank you much.

Do you really need to install Google play store ?

Was going to use Aptoide or something like that instead the Google play stuff for my Android apps
Will that work ok or will it have problems also ?
Thanks
You could use any store in theory, but some apps need the Google Play services, otherwise they won't start / work properly.
The Playstation app for example. I didn't want to install a whole GAPPS package, so I installed only the Play services.
In that case it worked, but I can't promise it will work for every app.
No,
I guess you could always switch to a windows phone if you don't need any apps ;o)
The only use I have found for gapps is downloads from play store, and even those apps can be sideloaded without the need for gapps. Otherwise, in my opinion, gapps framework is a constant drag on fire-phone. They use up resources in the background.
I have about 7 androd devices and have disabled Google Apps on almost all of them, and life is good.
Same here, using F-Droid and a 2nd repo I made for myself. I'd rather buy (or donate for) apps directly, e.g. here on XDA instead of using the Play Store.
Novice users tend to prefer Google Play Store & services, because it's comfortable and (usually ^^) hassle free, I suppose.
I have apps I've paid for on google play store and there are other apps there that are not on amazon's app store so yeah you really do.
I'm still running 4.6.1, so no Google Play Store or Services for me. I get all my apps from Aptoide and most of them work fine. So you don't really need to use Google stuff but as mentioned some apps won't work...
Any app store will work... the only advantage about using google play store and google services is that you need google play services to get most google apps working such as maps, hangouts, etc. Also, any games that work with the Play store scoring system will require google play. Other than that, most 3rd party apps will work fine if they don't integrate with google play.

Problem with system apps

Hello
I have a problem for example I use bank app and when I click on something is redirect me to v apps and it's don't work
I would love to switch default apps to normal one like play store or chrome
Same with any apps in Chinese....
For me Play Store was installed, and work with V-app perfectly when one has a update that the other doesn't have it tells me.
Search in V-app Google Play Store

Google play store?

Hello, I tried different technique yesterday found on the web, but none of them worked.
I would like to force the installation of the Google play store on my daughter's phone, I tried different apps like App gallery included, or aptoid, but we meet some problems on some applications like Gacha life that my daughter uses a lot.
The problem is that the game closes directly. (the version found on Aptoid)
So you have a solution to force google play store?

You can use Gspace that was deleted from AppGallery.
