[Q] Weird Headphone/Earphone Issue. - Micromax Canvas A1

So i tried playing music on my a1 through my earphones ( nokia earphones u get in most nokia phones with a square button+clip) but the issue which came up the sound was distorted , this same thing happened in my pc and if the button on the mic was always pressed then they work normal and awesome. so i pressed the button while listening on phone and they worked normal and nice without any distortion.
AFAIK its based on the jack present on the phone , that the earphone jack supports the jack in the phone.
Am i the only one or everybody has the same thing/jack.

Earphone stereo problem

I have problem using samsung wave's earphones on my hp laptop. The sounds seems crackled and in mono audio types it becomes very faint.. Either i should partially plug earphones or select mono channel in vlc player but this messes up the audio quality. But in my bro's lg optimus earphones everything is fine.
The sound quality on my wave is excellent but on my laptop its bad.. Will I need some other samsung driver or is it a common problem?? My laptop sound driver is up to date...
Thanx in advance....!
This so common
i use my earphone with my laptop and sound is excellent
My brother tried it with his laptop and sound is crap
the solution was to use the earphone half plugged and half unplugged
look for easier understanding put your earphone in your laptop and play music
now sound is just crap
unplug your earphone slowly from your laptop until you find sound is fine
i hope you get what i meant
Best Regards
Yeah even i have that problem and the solution is Given by the Post above my post !! i think its due to the THREE Strips that u can see on the HeadPhone pin on the Wave earphone (All mic included earphones have three strips and ordinary earphones have only two) !!! But better use any other ordinary earphones !!! !! Cheers mate !!!!!!
Thanx for suggestions, but i have been managing from weeks the way u told(found on some hp forum) but problem is it spoils the bass effect and sound becomes irritating rather than pleasent.... so i asked if i could get some driver which could make good use of earphone hardware like the way its played on wave....
Anyways its better i'll get some other earphones..
you dont need drivers for a 3.5 mm audio jack!.....lol
the thing is that the jack is madein such a way!
a normal 3.5 mm jack will have 3 point pin!
1 common
2 left audio
3 right audio
but if you talk about phone they have 4 point pin1
1 common
2 left audio
3 right audio
4 mic
the problem is that each company manufactures
pins with different configuration!..(so that a samsung high end earphone will not play in lg or lower end phones)
and in our headphones second point from the wire end is the mic.....so if the pin is fully plugged in you loose proper sound and when half plugged the common is outside the pin point so you get the mono effect without bass!.....lol

Wave 3 headphone jack problem....

Since there is no general board or help board for Wave phones, im sorry that i have to post this here....
I just got a Wave 3 from this guy, and the phone is in perfect condition and everything....
But, if i connect my Sennheiser EARPHONES, or my Pioneer HEADPHONES, the phone COMPLETELY freezes. Display doesn't work, buttons dont work, i cant turn off the screen. Then everything returns to normal when i unplug them.
I have to plug them in and out 2,3 times sometimes in order for them to finally work.
Stock Samsung earphones dont have this problem, but they are awful and only one earpiece works.
On my previous android phones, i never had this problem.
Please help me, i use my phone primarily for music, and i like the bada music player a lot.
UPDATE:
I just found out that the STOCK earphones have 4 conductors, and my sennheiser earphones have 3 conductors
Could THIS BE the reason?
I added a picture.
try to flash to an other firmware or update via samsung kies.
maybe this is a bug in your rom...
How do i flash a bada rom? Is there a risk of bricking like Android?
I did a fw update via Kies yesterday, that did not fix the problem.

I didn't hear about someone who flashed his WAVE correctly and has problem..
Can you check do you have 4 conductor earphones? If you have 3 conductor earphones and you NEVER had this problem, then something is wrong with the phone.
Please check my picture for comparison

the freezing problem may be from software bugs.
If not, check your headphone jack input and aalso from other devices, check if something is different, also, its 2nd hand if i'm right? if so, it may be damaged, i dont know.

But dude, i tried 2 headphones/3 earphones:
Stock samsung 4-conductor earphones - no problems
Sennheiser 3-conductor earphones - freezing, 2-3 times plug in/out, works
Nokia 4-conductor earphones - no problems
Canyon 3-conductor headphones - freezing, 2-3 times plug in/out, works
Pioneer 3-conductor headphones - freezing, 2-3 times plug in/out, works
Ahh, i must sell them and get earphones with a microphone (4-conduct).....this is so stupid -_-

I don't know what to say... a friend of mine said that her sister had the same problem with her Wave 3.
I bought some 4-conductor earphones today, and they work good.

i have 2 of those 3 conductor (both skullcandy), and they work without freezing problems
ps: i use this kind of set (same model, just other color)
maybe its a problem with wave 3.
i use wave 1

In the end, its not really a problem, its just that wave 3 doesnt support 3-conductor very well. All 4-conductor ones work good. :good:

Headphone jack not working

Hello, I had my s3 sitting for a while and decide to use it (haven't used it for 7-8 months). So I go on Youtube and watch a video. The speaker works fine but whenever I insert the 3.5 mm jack, I cant hear anything and if I remove it the speaker stop working.
I have tried multiple ROMS (CM13, DU 5.1, Stock 4.4.2) but they all seem to have the same issue. I also tried 3 different headphones.
What could be the issue?

Been having this same issue for like a month or two now. Have done everything in my power to resort this issue.., all to no avail.. Let's just hope the mods are doing something bout this.. Else I will have no option than to resort to BT headset..

it could very well be a hardware issue, did you replace the headphone jack/speaker assembly?

Since I got this phone, nothing has been replaced other than the battery.. And besides I don't think its a hardware issue since we have more than 2 to 3 people experiencing the exact same issue..

Check if speakerphone works, if it does, then it is likely that the hp jack is jammed and causing the phone to disable the speaker because it thinks headphones are plugged in.

Yes, it sounds like a hardware issue of the headphone jack being jammed or broken. If the issue is exactly the same on all roms, I would definitely replace the headphone jack, they are not that expensive, only $7

Why I don't think this issue might be a hardware issue is that, when ever I plug the phone to a wall socket and connect the headset jack, the sound comes on. But some few minutes after taking it off the wall socket, the sound is gone. And I have to restart the phone to get the sound working again..

if the speaker works but headphone doesn't then it may be that the phone detects some other audio device on usb. Do you hear any sounds at all through the headphones, also do the playback controls on the headphone work? If they do it may be the audio IC
Yeah, the controls on the headphone do work when this occurs.. And I don't hear any other sound..
Mind you, Immediately after inserting the jack, all the sound (speaker and headset) system in the phone is lost. Until I do a restart.

LG G3 Headphone Port and DAC

Hey team,
Has anyone else noticed how terrible the on board DAC is? It is the loudest piece of audio equipment I have ever heard. Just noticed it and can't unnotice it. When I swapped back to my 4th Gen ipod touch it sounded utterly incredible in comparison. I'm getting noise, strange squealing in both ears at around 5000hz when music is playing? Any fix for this one? I read a few posts and edited the mixer.xml file but it just crapped out all sound. Definitely not my headphones or an impedance issue, I have tried with multiple headphones.
I'm running Fulmics 6.1.
The sound of the G3 DAC also lacks a whole ton of power, even when compared to other cell phones. Not sure whats going on there, the clarity of the mids and highs are rather compromised. I even occasionally hear bass distorting on some tracks (it's not the tracks or the headphones).

I don't know, if that's the issue you're trying to solve, but for me it helped a lot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...ying-music-t2804065/post59601465#post59601465
I use to think the same but with a unusual trick everything seems fine now.
If ur headphones have a detachable cable plug first the cable to the jack without the headphones n in the status bar u will see a cable icon instead of the headphone one, now connect the headphones to the other end of the cable, I know is unusual but sounds change terrific.
If u don't have a detachable headphones the next is plugin ur headphones, make a call, u need answered to the other side (I make call to my cellphone company ) detach the headphones n reconnect again during the call (remember u have to be answered) n now u can end the call. Again the noise n hiss sounds go away after this, but u Need to do this Everytime u reboot the phone.

Okay, that sounds a bit strange, but I will give it a go. If it works, I might make a Tasker profile, so that it happens immediately. Surely this is a software problem right? Are you running marshmallow or what?
Gave it a try but there is still the problem. It only really happens after playing a track or during music playing, there is quite a lot of white noise in the signal behind the music too. Not terrible, but it is very prominent when comparing to better sources.
Not sure what the problem is but I'm going to try a different fix.

Guys i need your help with 3.5mm jack.

I had problems with my audio jack, after reading alot and watching alot of youtube videos i ordered new G3 and had put my motherboard inside thinking it would solve the problem ( As i had broken the screen also. ) Everything was new including 3.5mm jack. And the problem still persists. Problem is when i plug my headphones i cant hear anything untill i go to audio settings and turn audio balance to the one side ( i still hear audio in both headphones but poor audio quality). This only solves problem with samsung heaphones with mic and remote. When i use my Beats studios it dosent fix it. After pluging them it starts opening google assistant and starts making wired noises. What could the problem be? I have also tried using viper audio and many custom roms nothing seems to help. Im starting to get desperate as i love this phone i dont want to change it. :crying::crying:
