I just got my Amazon Fire TV stick and love it but I am not seeing a way to install the TWC TV app. Can I do this?

I am after the APK for the NHK World TV (Version 7.1.8 (Latest)) that is available on the Amazon Fire TV, reason for this request is they dropped Android TV Version back on 7.1.5 and disconnected the usable service. I want to be able to see if I can get this to work on Android TV but in order to do this I need the apk for the latest version 7.1.8 from the Amazon Fire TV.

So I bought a Fire TV second hand from like freaking far away, looks like I can't update the TV. I wanted to know if someone can point me into the right direction into where to get the information for Root/install something on it.
