No first's. ???
Pp.

Is the "Mobile hotspot" and "data" on the Notification panel (when you swipe your finger from the top of the phone) ???
Or is it the same as the Tmobile version, Mobile hotspot is on a separate app in the app drawer, and mobile data can only be accessed under settings menu?
Thanks

thanks.. will try it later

everything seemed to work, but after flashing the Modem.bin And NON-HLOS.bin I no longer have any sound. Anyone else having a similar issue? I think it was really the non-hlos.bin that screwed things up. Any way to undo what it did? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The nonhlos.bin version must match the bootloader version. For example, if you have the NB7 bootloader, you need to have the NB7 nonhlos.bin. Flash the proper nonhlos.bin.

Thanks for the reply. How can I find out what bootloader I have? I pretty much had rooted my MetroPCS S4 shortly after I bought it back in July of 2013. It was still using Jelly bean 4.2.2. with older firmware M919NUVUAMF2. I hope that info helps. Would I need to find a different nonhlos.bin file or update/upgrade my bootloader? I'm really SOL right now cuz I can't make phone calls. At least I can still recieve texts. Thanks again for any help?

July of 2013 means your warranty is up so tripping knox would be no issue. I'd completely update with the firmware then you can not worry about stupid mix match problems

One last question. I just download the huge M919NUVUFNI3_M919NTMBFNI3_M919NUVUFNI3_HOME.tar.md5 stock firmware file. In which slot do I put that in? I'm using Odin 3.09. The slots are labled: PIT, BL, AP, CP and CSC. Thanks again.

AP. Uncheck auto reboot, flash it, when done pull battery, back to download mode and flash it again and reboot. Just to be 100. Sometimes bootloader and/or modems have a issue writing to the device.

Edit: Looks like you're flashing the firmware...good choice.
If you've never flashed a different firmware then you would need the nonhlos.bin from the MF2 firmware. You can find that firmware at this link, under firmware...
http://androidforums.com/metropcs-g...cial-metropcs-s4-root-information-thread.html
Alternately you could just flash the new NI3 firmware like shiny suggested. It would be easier altogether. Your manufacturer warranty has expired so updating the bootloader is no longer an issue.

If you have trouble getting the bootloader and/or Modem to stick, install "Triangle Away" by @Chainfire and follow the directions to reset your counter (even if it says zero), then boot into download mode, and re-flash them with Odin and they should stick.
To verify, you can download "Phone Info - Samsung" and make sure that all 4 items say NF4 (Bootloader, Baseband, PDA and CSC).

There isn't a way to do this while retaining the rom and root.
Also, the latest is NF9.

[Q] N7100 Help Service State: Out Of Service. And More.

Dear all,
Well I dont know where to start. But here is what happened with my N7100 Note 2.
I was on the latest 4.4.2, the phone restarted suddenly one day and it just dont boot stuck at samsung logo,
flashed the 4.4.2 stock from sammobile. and it worked fine everything was perfect for a week, till it happened again
flashed the same rom. and here is where the trouble begins.
The IMEI changed to generic 00499XXX.., Serial No: 000000
i managed to downgrade to 4.1.2 with mobile odin, flashed a lot of stocks and customs as well. And after a very hard work for a week i manage to get back my IMEI and serial number back, now I backed up my EFS learned my lesson
Now i flashed the stock rom 4.1.1, phone is unlocked. cant make calls, or sms or data internet.
Now I have service: out of service, Bluetooth address: unavailable (while its in the efs folder the mac is in the file), Device status modified, And when I connect it to USB it wont recognize the phone until I have to dial *#7284# and change USB from modem to PDA, then save and reset. (EVERYTIME) I need a permanent fix as well for that.
Please I need help with those as i cant make my phone work.
Thanks and regards,
Mohamed Selim.
First and most important:
If you ever were on stock 4.4.x you can't downgrade to 4.1.x because of knoxed bootloader.
What you did with mobile odin was no real downgrade cause your bootloader wasn't touched.
Don't try to flash firmware beyond your current bootloader version.
Install Samsung Phone Info app from play store and look for actual bootloader version.

As I said before: YOU DID NOT DOWNGRADE firmware to 4.1.2 with Mobile Odin, check with Info app from Samsung:
You will find bootloader between *ND3 and *NI1 and all are 4.4.2 KitKat
So, whatever firmware you try to flash under 4.4.2 is supposed to fail.

Mobile Odin does everything but doesn't flash bootloader so it is like flashing a custom rom which also doesn't contain bootloader.
PC Odin flashes complete firmware, so this is the only way to really up- or downgrade. Hope you understand the difference.
The only solution I see for you is to concentrate on 4.4.2 equal or up your actual bootloader version.

I really want to help you out and I assure you that I know what I am talking about (take a look into my signature with stock roms and bootloaders).
There is indeed no solution on 4.1.1 and the screenshot doesn't show bootloader version. To believe what I say try to find out what BL version you are on. If it shows XXUFND3 up to XXUFNI1 you have the proof.

XXUFND3 was the first KitKat firmware for N7100 and yours was the second.
Three options:
1) Flash firmware using PC Odin at least ND4, maybe better NE1 or up
2) Flash through recovery any stock KitKat custom rom provided by wesamothman, cosmyndemeter or me
3) Flash through recovery any KitKat custom rom you like from development section here
4.3 custom roms may work also, but not 100% sure.
Beyond 4.3 I wouldn't recommend.

FOH3 Modem.bin files for MDL and non MDL bootloaders

UPDATE: https://mega.nz/#!G0sUgLYQ!FLkCzuu_9MjGXuxQAZ3sGIZEGVTZLsy48v92NSZiaWQ
^^^Modem & Non-Hlos in a zip file. Extract and flash what you need.^^^
Non-Hlos <<<(need to be on [OH3] MATCHING Bootloader!)
FOR MDL BOOTLOADER FLASH ONLY THE MODEM.BIN (NOT NON-HLOS)
Everythings working, sound, calling, LTE, Wifi etc.
Steps I took in case anyone needs it: have latest samsung drivers, open odin (I used 3.04). Untick auto reboot, POWER OFF PHONE dont use reboot menu because files wont always flash correctly. Hold power + vol down to boot to download, make sure it shows up in odin. Click PDA navigate to modem.bin (if its not showing up enter ** into file name field and hit enter....poof its there) now flash it and wait until you see success. Unplug phone, Close/Reopen ODIN, Hold power to shut down, boot to download and repeat modem flash to make sure it sticks.
Make sure you have a backup of rom and current/older modem in case you want to switch it back or what not. Not a dev, just wanted to help out and give back to the community.
Thanks @shiamatsu for this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2544612 , no clue if sound would still be effected by non-hlos.bin on MDL
Thanks @dirkdigles for the heads up on non-hlos.bin.

The entire firmware is needed. But it's a moot point if you're running a custom ROM; once you reflash your custom ROM, you're at risk if your devices dev hasn't patched the ROM.

It might be better or its just a placebo effect, mine seems more stable. Really need to try it in your area for yourself and see, too many different configs for this phone to be sure for everyone.
I was able to flash the modem.bin just fine. However, I'm on the NK2 bootloader, and I can't get the non-hlos.bin file to work. I've used Odin 3.04, 3.07 and 3.09, and I get a Pass message every time. According to the Phone info app, I'm still on The NK2 bootloader. I used the phone slot for the non-hlos.bin file. Has anyone else had this problem?

Its probably easier for EVERYONE not on MDL to just update with odin official firmware, then odin TWRP or whatever recovery and restore the backup you should've made. No need to re-root or what not. This post was mainly for MDL.

You can't flash non-hlos.bin on a bootloader that doesn't match. You gotta take the original TAR and do something like this guy did

What is the most recent bootloader? I upgraded to the knox one already and was using NB4 non-hlos and modem.
I tested out the FOH3 non-hlos and modem and so far it seems to be working with whatever bootloader I have.

[ROM][ODIN]STOCK 5.1.1 G925TUVU2DOH6

This is really only a mirror of the download from sammobile. I have not touched the zip in any way. Same installation instruction from sammobile apply for this.
Again, I am only posting this 100% totally stock straight from Samsung ODIN flashable ROM because the download server is very slow and hopefully this will be faster for other people?
Again this is not my work, just waited the 6 hours it took to DL it and I uploaded it to share for those wanting the 5.1.1 right away.
Firmware Details (GALAXY S6 Edge)
Model SM-G925T

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: AGAIN THE IS A 100% STOCK FULL ODIN FIRMWARE FLASH, IT IS NOT ROOTED. YOU WILL NEED TO FLASH THE ZIP IN ODIN AND RE-ROOT AND INSTALL RECOVERY. I HAVEN'T TESTING THIS MYSELF SO I AM NOT SURE OF WHAT ROOT METHOD WORKS
I WILL POST MORE INFO AS I GET IT.

Awesome!
Link is posted.
Remember, this is not my work and is 100% fully stock ODIN file. You will have to extract the file and run ODIN to flash this. Just follow the instructions from the OP or from Sammobile's web page.
Good luck and hopefully my OZOP Rom won't take too long. Stay tuned to that thread for update info about that.
Thanks!
what a life saver. thank you
Is it better to Odin or smart switch what u guys think
Unless you want to permanently lose root I'm not sure you want to flash this 5.1.1. Has a locked bootloader

Thanks
I smart switch it and my bootloader still unlocked. ...proof in the picture don't know why Odin will be different
If I'm on 5.1.1 Tmobile S6 edge rooted with UniKernel. I can ODIN to this and reflash UniKernel to achieve root??

can you still root without tripping knox after this udpate?
The weirdest thing happened to me..... I flashed the full oh6 firmware...... let everything boot wiped to factory reset in stock recovery..... Let it boot everything was showing 0h6........ then restored an old backup using twrp and it changed my baseband back to of8.... I never knew twrp would backup ur baseband....... blahhhh I guess I won't restore any backup that has of8 as a baseband now lol

What about if you un-tick system while restoring your backup?

Odin fail

I can't flash with Odin to save my life. Tried many different combos. Comsey n official. Same thing. Tried BL on different Odins. Same result. I can't even root with sampwned. Can anyone help me? Please?
*oh Odin has an issue with my device info.
*TMO carrier and stuck on U1 firmware HD3
Also, I've already tried all of the Odin fail fixes. Doesn't work for me.
I'm actually having the same issue with my SM-G955U. I've tried several updates from both carrier specific and unlocked variants. Used Odin Comsy, 3.12.3, .5, and .7 and everything fails immediately. I've rebooted back to download mode every attempt as well, and I cannot get it for the life of me. I just used Odin on an S7 a couple days before this, but the S8+ is giving me grief. If I figure something out, I'll try to keep you posted OP. My Baseband is G955USQU1AQHD for any readers
I would really appreciated it!

try this
1) Flash the u1 firmware using prince odin.
2) Flash desired firmware using normal odin.
That should work.
One question does OTA updates work for you?

It sounds like your original flash was a bad flash. I have a t-mobile s8+ which I flashed to U1 from 100% stock T-mobile software and I get updates just fine.
I am no ODIN expert but you may need to look into re-partitioning your device. Does knox show void?

Mine does indeed show that Knox is void. Same issue where I cannot flash any U1 or U update, even though this device has always remained stock. What are the steps to re-partition?
