Bump unlock - G Pad 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I found this thread Bump unlock for LG G3 that demonstrated how to use Bump to unlock an already rooted G3 and install TWRP recovery on it to flash bump'd ROMs for the G3 and I was wondering if this might work for the gPad 7 and 10.1 too? What you guys think?

Nope

they need to share the technical details first... or build TWRP for this device and release it...

Oh Ok

Most things for other devices need to be modified to work with other devices. Definitely when we get the recoveries launched this is something we could discuss but until then it's just a wait in progress.

How to root G Pro F240S on lollipop.

I've searched the entire forum and couldn't find a working method to root my LG optimus G Pro F240S. It's the official lollipop release. I flashed the KDZ file. Does anyone know any working method to root this phone with this Android version?
I haven't found it either, I tried many methods, even the universal rooting softwares like kingoroot etc, no luck..so I reverted to kitkat.
How you reverted to kitkat???
Please help

Man there are so many variants of G4! I did read guides but most of them just cover international models.. Its more confusing. I wont wanna brick my phone.
You cannot root F500K MM. The only way to get root is by flashing 5.1.1 LP.

Users have reported the V411 kdz works on the V410.
There is a test kdz out there for the V410, but it makes a real mess of the tablet. Getting all the partitions back to normal after using it sounds like a long and involved process.

Here's how to get LG flash tool working if you get an offline error that with patches as far as I can tell worked and got me back to 4.4.2, but cannot find the ATT version but at least it works being able to use full 16gb but no OTA and its RGS LTE not A&TT but I installed and follow the directions for the first 3 files and stopped at the firmware part.

Download and install LG USB Drivers
Download and install LGUP Store & LG Dev Patched
Download and install LGUP DLL for V410
Firmware from that URL as its got the 8gb problem from this site after installing that .kdz these first 3 files and following the directions to get LGUP working than use also dont use the firmware from there!!
Now time to start the next part getting LG Flash tool 2014 that is most likely been patched, but reason for wanting to get LGUP working so you can get nand dumps onto you machine. Plus this is the step I followed than downloaded the tool from this than exit/close the no internet service error in the tool and it flashed my tablet with this firmware to 4.4.2.

After reading this again from finding that link in my history it looks like the steps for flashing with that tool would have worked so probably no reason to have to install LGUP just the driver and DLL file along with of course the LG Drivers and LG Flash Tool 2014 from that link.

Now comes the fun part the firmware. From finding, this is what I used which is the RGS 16gb version of Andriod 4.4.2 with the LG Flash 2014.

Firmware to get back to Android 4.4.2 also this worked on my ZNFVV410 A&TT model. Still wonder why OTA doesn't work but at least this allowed me to downgrade to 4.4.2 and root than Twrp onto a new rom. Also stable root I used was this
