Hey guys I am unable to turn on 3g connection on my Android one.
I am using airtel postpaid and my plan is of rs 249.
2g works fine but when I switch to 3g the range drops and there is an R symbol. Check the images attached below. Please help.

The location doesn't seem to have a good 3g connection; hence the behaviour. Move to a location which has good 3g connection and stable and then test.

yeah . no 3g in your locality..
if u r sure there s good 3g network available in your area.. , then use only WDCMA .. DIAL *#*#4636#*#* , then PHONE INFORMATION , THEN SELECT ONLY WCDMA ..

Guys when I put the same sim card in my mmx c2c it works flawlessly without any problems with the network coverage. And I have tested the speed using ookla speed test and I get a speed test of 4.57mbps

Confirm from Airtel if they are providing 3G networks in your area. As far as i know they do not provide 3G services in some areas.

Bro when i put the same airtel sim in my c2c the 3g works flawlessly. But for using 3g it asks me to turn on data roaming

Did you got airte Sim pre installed in the phone or it old sim.
Can be a problem with Android one because they are giving free download for Six months. May be they dont want to give 3G speed.
In any case you should ask the airtel guys, you should also tru to consult Micromax customer support or Service center.
How many sims are you using?
Is ur 3g sim in sim 1 slot?
Is that sim bound to 3g connection?

Wats ur connection? Try going back to stock rom and testing connectivity.. If u get same bad results den it could b a hardware problem.. Evn my 3g sucks, i use airtel

instead of goin for vodaphone try mtnl.. my frnd says that they hav REALLY cheap 3g packs but their connectivity sucks... u wuld loose ur connection if u enter a mall!

Have you checked your data usage? Not because you have 3G/HSDPA connection available means you can surf and download at blazing speed. Carriers have their own way of magically cutting down your speed to 25% specially if you are a bandwidth hog.
Try calling them and ask for assistance, if you're lucky they might give you option(s) like stick with slow speed because you watch too much porn on your phone or surprise you with overage charges if you are not on unlimited data plan. XD

buy a new vodafone sim recharge wid 104 rs first recharge ...
u will get 2gb free 3G internet ....

hw did it resolve?
Try sysctl.conf tweak, may solve your problem.

dude download&install app:- 3G connection fix free(by lrm4android) from the playstore... then use fix now button in that... the connections will restart and now check out the speed ...
i'm gettin 4 to 5 mbps on aitel...

if you are a rooted user then use 3G/4G speed optimizer(by Provision team) from playstore and use increase download speed tweak.... it improves the speed a lot.
Check whether you are having full signal.... I have noticed drop in speed with low signal.

Hey guys anyone tried using a WiFi repeater? My phone connects to the repeater but does not have Internet access...... The same problem exists for other HTC phone at my house... But Samsung and Nokia phones have Internet access.... Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hi guys i'm wondering if i have the maximum speed from my provider (Rogers). I did some speed test.
2.89 mbps/0.8 and 12.2 mbps/0.8 mbps. I'm not sure if im on LTE or just 4G. I can't show you my homepage (I'm new can't post link) but I have the symbol 4G, not LTE like my iphone 5s
If you see only 4g symbol on rogers than its only 4g. Should be ltev on canadien devices.
And your speedtests tell me your on 4g.
Call rogers they will help you . maybe its error on there end if not go to setting/ networks and select lte gsm

Yes, i asked Rogers and they don't know. They said go instore and i thing my setting is ok with the LTE auto.

You need to ckeck your network settings first to see if your network mode shows LTE or not.

Hiii guys....so i was on stock lp...then i flashed the thunderzap kernel on it...my network was on 3g but i was getting 2g signals despite the fact that 3g signals are good in my area.... Then i flashed back the stock kernel and 3g was back...then after sometime..when i picked up my phone...it was on 2g...then...i tried everything to get back the 3g but wasnt able to(airplane mode on off,rebooting).. And then i decided to revert back to kk....so...i flashed pac man rom...but still the problem persists... 3g is selected but i am getting 2g(e) ..... what to do??.... Plz help me!!!!

I am using data of jio. I want sim 2 to be select to 2g network only. Now It keep changing from 3g to 2g.i want it should remain in 2g network only

I did a chat with the customer care executive regarding this issue.They told me that we can't change that option now.They will pas this information to R and D team.
