So first unplug your phone from your pc otherwise it won't work.
Than I had the same as you in the picture with the recovery 'stuck' but for it simply worked if I reboot straight again into recovery via the three buttons.
Hope I could help

Different stock recovery only can install certain ROM? I tried B125 already cannot. Any other recommend ROM for me to try? I rmb I flashed a quite latest stock recovery

then try the b510 or the b634..
jb recovery can only install jb rom..so do kk recovery only install kk rom as i know..
if nothing brings success try the unicom rom..

You still have your usb cable plugged in. It will NOT work like that. @taaeem has already mentioned that.
What was the previous firmware that you had installed?
If it was a Chinese firmware, you need to try flashing this file first: https://mega.co.nz/#!8kcVADpB!JKeDlX4WQhmAP3mclNTfIzIjVllw5sMhnrj-3KSpSc4

maybe the sdcard causes this error too..had this with a 16gb fuji card..with a 8gb noname it worked..
and unplug your phone before flashing..as mentioned..

hi miz_pimp, if i do not plug in the usb cable, it will directly go into fail as showed in the picture124 i attached below, I do not rmb what firmware i installed previously, but I did a full wipe, I do not think thr is still firmware inside beside stock recovery.

very strange..
maybe you do a all again..
starting with flashing a stock boot.img and recovery.img (from the b512 rom..you can extract them by the update extractor from here..just search)..
then try to flash the b512 rom by the force update method (press and hold the buttons until you see the update process starting!)..
id this fails too..well..i don't know how to help then..
if there was a cn firmware on your device (as mentioned) then search for the unicom firmware and read how to flash this and do a eventually downgrade at first)..

Have you tried the file that I linked to above?
I think your problem is that you flashed the incorrect recovery version for the firmware you had on your device.
Unless you used TWRP to completely wipe your device before you flashed your stock recovery (which was not at all necessary), then you should still have a firmware on your device.

(I said that I cant go in Fastboot mode to flash TWRP again.)
OK I am now able to boot in bootloader after much testing I will try it.
I also had the vetlist problem downgrading from b014 to b125. But bootloader still worked. The only thing that worked for me was installing stock recovery jb via bootloader, afterwards a clean install of b014 again via stock recovery. And than I could install b125, also via stock recovery.
In short words:
1. Install stock recovery jb
2. Put (in your case) b506 to sdcard/dload folder
3. Reboot to stock recovery with automatic new installation of b506
4. Put b125 to sdcard/dload
5. Reboot to stock recovery with automatic installation of b125 withoutthe verlist fail.
This is the only way that worked for me from b014 to b125.

Install this Original_Recovery
You have to go back to stock recovery mode, do this using adb.
Then install KK Beta and then B125

1-Firstly With the phone download this:

2-then, when the download is finished, you go to download folder and extract the .zip archive, and then put the dload o your external sd!
3-after that, you have to turn off the mobile. and the method of the 3 buttons (vol - and vol + power) the recovery will be updated!
4 - after the end of the flashing restarted again, with that before we get We traveled for updated repair fail.
5-'ll be back on the B506, now just stick a stock with dload on the external card and the 3 buttons you flash the stock rom that you have chosen with JB! regards :good:
Thanks ,,,,, it works :good:

Bricked phone with no OS

Today I managed to screw up my phone when I tried to downgrade from the kit kat version to the jellybean one.
The phone currently has no OS , and its stuck at the android ascend logo.
I tried to force update it , but without success.
I've wiped the cache , i've formatted the sd card , but without success.
Yes , i've put the dload folder into the sd card root with the update.app file in it. After the 3 button attempt , it goes into checking the modules , failing at VERLIST.
Any help would be apreciated for a noobie like me.

I flashed the B132 with the 3 buttons method and this happened :

This phone is secureboot phone.
This phone is UNLOCK state.
The loading bar isn't moving , and its been sitting like this for 25-30 min.
The phone is not connected to a pc or laptop , it's just charging.
How does custom recovery actually work ?

Which firmware did you have on your device before? If it was any of the B7xx firmwares, then you need to follow the downgrade method for those firmwares. You'll just need to search for the guide.

Ok, I'm assuming you had B708 installed.
You say that you don't have an OS installed, but that can't be if you only had the stock recovery on your device. You say that you've wiped cache, and SD card, but have you done a factory reset?
I've had my device stuck on the ascend logo before, and wiping data worked for me. Please try that, and let me know if your phone boots up. Then you should find the downgrade method from B708 back to either Jelly Bean or the international Kit Kat firmware.

How to downgrade from WW4.21.40.223 to WW_2.12.40.11?

Hi,
I have the flickering screen problem with my phone and it is out of warranty so i can't send it back to repair.
I tried upgrading to the latest firmware, tried factory reset, wipe cache, installing google launcher, enabling the HW thing in developer mode and nothing worked.
I read that WW_2.12.40.11 version doesn't have the screen problem and i want to try it, but i wanna be sure i'm doing it the right way.
1) I read that i can't just put the wanted firmware in my phone and install the update but i must also flash the matching recovery to flash the wanted version - is it true?
2) Can i downgrade straight from my version to the lower one because i think the other way around, i need to have higher version for upgrading to the higher version i now have.
3) Where can i find the adb driver for this?
Thanks
You can downgrade via ext sd card using the downgrade version from asus > 52.20.40.196 LP which when installed , reboots to 2.20.40.196LP
When putting WW-UL- 52.20.40.196.zip.zip ,make sure to put an extra .zip on the end in file manager or in sd from pc first and reboot.
If you then put WW-UL-2.12.40.11-user.zip.zip (extra .zip) on sd or in file manager . You might get that to give you notification after a reboot too. Although i have not tested to downgrade that far .
You must use the first 52.20 blah blah fw to initially downgrade first though. Ignore this and you are liable to brick. Here >

Hi, thanks i'l try that.
does it matter in what order i flash this 3 files?
Edit: If i already flashed the ROM can i just flash the boot.img and droidboot.img or do i need to do the whole process including flashing the ROM again?
Is your screen flickering problem like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRuxTefNcKw
If its like that I was told its a LCD hardware problem which gets fixed by replacing LCD.
Update:
Well, I installed firmware 2.12.40.11 and it worked fine for several days but then the screen started to flicker again.
i started to update the devices with OTA updates and then i saw that in firmware WW_2.20.40.174 the screen didn't flicker.
i had further updates and then the screen started to flicker again.
i tried to flash recovery.img, boot.img and droidboot.img but not the device only enters fastboot mode but when i try to enter normal boot or recovery mode, it only comes back to fast boot mode.
any suggestion what should i do to unbrick the phone?
Thanks

Roll Back to MarshMallow [BLN-L22]

Hi,
Below are the steps to rollback to Marshmallow from Nougat. I've only tested it on BLN-L22 so I don't know if it works with other variants.
Your bootloader would be locked. However, you can unlock again using the old unlock code.
You can find firmware of your version @ Honor Official Site
Download the Marshmallow firmware from here Honor India Official Support
Unzip it and place the dload folder in the sdcard (internal storage wont work)
Power off the device.
Press Volume Down + Volume Up + Power key to log into Huawei software upgrade
Let it finish. Now installation is done. But now when you will boot, it will bootloop and go to Huawei ercovery. Simply select the shutdown option
Once the device is off, press Volume Up + Power. This will take you to Huawei Recovery
Wipe data and Wipe Cache
Restart. You are back to MarshMallow
Kindly do the above at your own risk. It worked for me, but it may brick for you.
Edit : User @honor6xak was able to rollback after wiping the system using TWRP and following above steps. If there is no system, there would be no firmware for Honor to overwrite. It would be as good as flashing fresh.
Method 2.
1. Make a nandroid backup (complete backup) and save it somewhere safe. Just in case things get messy.
2. Download the official firmware (Marshmallow) from the Honor official site.
3. Extract the dload folder from the firmware and put it into an sdcard (physical one).
4. Reboot to TWRP and wipe data + system. Twrp will warn you about wiping system. Once you do it. Power off the device.
5. Press volume up + volume down + power this will take you to Huawei recovery and will auto install the firmware if the folder is there in sdcard.
This is a tad bit risky but if you have nandroid backup then you can be on a safe side. But still do it only if you are sure. I don't have money to pay if you Sue me
The above link is for the Indian firmware for the US firmware (L24) you'll have to go to the us website. Yes, that's the reason I specified the BLN number. You don't need to login to have the firmware download. If you can give the link we can update the post.
Edit : I've updated site for Official firmware of various regions in the main post
It's official mm r ( this is root mobiles or unrooting mobiles ) any virus problem

If you flash these official version you'll get unrooted and your bootloader would be locked again. But you can unlock the bootloader again and root also.
Since it is from official website I doubt it will have any virus
So hacky but... you can find the 'rollback package' here http ://www, hihonor, ]com/us/support/details/index,html?[DOC_ID=94205] and the firmware here http ://www, hihonor, [com/us/support/details/index.html?][DOC_ID=94205]
Just remove the spaces, brackets and replace periods with commas.

Hello bro,
I several times tried the method that you mentioned in your thread using a memory card but it always failed. I'm very curious how it worked for you. Right now I unlocked and rooted my Honor 6x BLN-L22.
I just want to know if your phone was unlocked when you tried this method.
If yes I'll give it a try. It might work this time.
Thank you

You can do one thing I don't know if it work but you can try it. Download firmware finder from play store. Search for the latest nougat firmware then select download. There would be two files 1. Update.zip 2. BLNxxxx some name. Download the second file. Then flash it with twrp.
Now do the procedure as I described in the first post. When I did the roll back I was on the unofficial nougat version.
I'll search for some other method. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Thanks a lot bro. I'll try that.
It worked for me on my BLN-L24, rolling it back to I could exchange it. However I had to do a couple other steps first to get it to work, so here's my full steps that worked for me:
1. If you have twrp or another custom recovery, flash it back to stock.
1a. To find the stock recovery I had to get it from the zip file here since I'm a dumbass and didn't make a backup: If you have twrp or another custom recovery, flash it back to stock.
2. If you have a custom bootloader, flash it back to stock.
3. Download and extract the stock rom. Flashing it from zip will not work.
4. Copy the UPDATE.app to /sdcard/dload/ (not a physical sdcard, if that's what's confusing you.
5. Turn the device all the way off.
6. Press and hold volume up, and volume down, then press and hold power until the phone starts booting, immediately release it once you see something on the screen.
It should now 'update' your phone back to EMUI 4.1.

What did you do that you are stuck at TWRP?
Tell the history then we can suggest something
Download the update_data_full_BLN-L22_channel_in.zip and place it on sdcard.
You can then flash it with TWRP

You cannot directly flash the 4.1 file on your nougat. If you want to do that then you have to use the procedure I gave in the first page.
The link I gave is for nougat version. Basically, when I had a similar problem like you I flashed the 733mb file and my phone was able to boot.
Wipe data in TWRP
Flash the 733mb file
Wipe cache
I hope it works

Both methods didn't work for me though I flashed the 733mb file using TWRP successfully.

Shows you which error?
Did you try to install it via local update?
Anyway, your best bet is to install TWRP and flash the CN ROM through TWRP.
Alternatively, use miflash tool in the unofficial unbrick tool to flash the CN firmware via edl mode
Nubia package error
Bro when I purchased the phone the software was 3.16 global, then I changed it to 4.16 with local update, but I was trying the same thing with the Chinese software when I go to the local update and I press the install button the mobile shut down and goes to the software installation but after 10% or something it shows package error and just reboot it self.i don't know what to do now. sorry my English is not good

Use TWRP; follow the link below, root your device then flash CN ROM from TWRP.
Back up your data cos flashing TWRP will wipe everything.
Also, when installing CN, get version 6.23
All the best

http://romdownload.nubia.com/红魔5G/V6.23/NX659J-update.zip
There you are. Its the 6.23 version of the cn rom
This directs to the 5s version but both the 5s and 5g versions of this rom are identical. ( Md5 checksum proves its the same file)
Flash from recovery. Or through TWRP
Brother I downloaded the file but I am trying to flash it through recovery mode, but when I go to the recovery mode and press on package update, otg device but there is no file there.the file location is in the storage device

Otg refers to a external usb device you connect to the phone. If you have the update.zip on the root of the internal memory it should show up.
If it does not. You should use the root without unlocking bootloader tutorial to install TWRP. The zip will flash from there with no problems.
