WHen you first rooted and installed your custom recovery, did you make a backup in that program before anything else?

I used the cyanogen mod installer on my nexus 7 and it never gave an option to backup. It was an automated process that installed without any way of going back.

I guess Im not experienced with that mod installer but in order to even get that far didnt you have to root, and install a custom recovery? Or is that a totally different thing?

What version are you currently running? If newer that MDL, you can't go back to MDL. MDL didn't have Knox. The versions with Knox, won't let you downgrade.

can any one help me??? plzzzz any help is apreciated
If you're on the latest NE2 firmware it is impossible to downgrade back to mk4 due to Knox boot loader, download the NE2 tar and flash it thru Odin... good luck! You might have to look for a partition fix posted by jlmancuso somewhere in a buried thread...
I was able to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541395 using twrp and abd. After that i downloaded mobile odin and installed stock mk4

I tried to remove the root because I did not know what I was doing with it but now looks like I need to learn more about it. Anything can help I just want to get on my phone.
