It is possible find somewhere/install program like VideoPane (iOS) - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Themes and Apps

Hi all
It is possible find somewhere/install program like VideoPane (iOS)?
I like watch TV Online on Note Pro but want use it in window
Someone know something about this tweak?
Thanks
P.S.: and how stream from Note Pro to AppleTV?
...plz dnt kick me about this stupid questions maybe

I switched from an Apple ecosystem to Android when I bought the note, that included changing from AppleTV to a Chromecast. Using that you can stream to the TV using chromecast supporting apps, and with more apps if you install "Allshare cast".
You can also do full screen-mirroring if you've rooted the tablet and use "Mirror-enable" to allow chromecast mirroring to work.
Android is not as neat in terms of in-built support at the core-OS level for streaming as much as iOS is unfortunately. But most things can be achieved with some tweaking, but I wasn't aware of anything to properly talk to the AppleTV as it pretty much exclusively used AirPlay as its method of communication.
As for VideoPane - you'll get some of that functionality from the multi-window/popup window sidebar thing if you add more apps to it. Not all apps are supported tho. Again, if you're rooted you can circumvent this limitation with a tweak that allows you to add any app to the multiwindow thing.
..and if you go the whole hog and put a customfirmware on like the recent Cyanogen mod, then the sky's the limit - tho there's a wee issue with it at the moment, so maybe hold off until version 11 is released before going down that route.

Thanks buddy for great answer

Great answer.
I'll just add that if one observes the Galaxy Note 4's feature set they'll see something promising; the ability to take any multiwindow supported app that is full screen and reduce it to a windowed application by dragging from the upper right corner of the screen. Hopefully at some point this feature trickles down to the Note Pro and Note 10.1 2014 edition as it would be a great feature to have and would be a positive step towards achieving what Videopane does on iOS.

[Q] [APP] TakeControl -> Remote Control Your Android Phone

For any office jockey types like myself that use a desk dock, I highly recommend checking this app out --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidcontrol.takecontrol&hl=en
Developer Website -->http://droidcontrol.com/
In essence, your Note 2 just becomes another screen that you can slide your cursor over to and interact with the phone.
I'm in no way affiliated with the app or developer but I posted here because the developer seems to have abandoned the project and I'm hoping for some suggestions/alternatives from XDA.
I was using RootBox on my Note 2 and both the app and ROM worked beautifully... used it over the course of a week and fell in love with both of them.
Long story short, I badly needed (two-way) call recording which I simply couldn't get working on RootBox despite trying Xposed framework, system files, apps etc. so I reverted to Alliance 4.1.2 which is a compromise relative to RootBox BUT call recording is crystal clear...
So what's the problem?
TakeControl no longer works nicely on the TW ROM (only works in the upper 720px region as per the image below) and the developer doesn't seem to be responding... :crying:
And what am I asking?
1. Can anyone suggest a reason why this might be the case and if there's a workaround?:fingers-crossed:2. If not, does anyone know of a similar app that works? And I'm not talking something like SnapPea and variants

For remote controlling my phone, I use teamviewer. Samsung has a partnership with TeamViewer to allow you to remote any Samsung phone using either your own phone or the pc version on TeamViewer.
Install this on your phone - TeamViewer QS
and install the PC piece - TeamViewer PC
It works pretty good to controlling your own phone and if your parents need remote help with theirs.

[Q] Note 3 w/Android 4.3 Missing the Ability to Add Users/Profiles

I just picked up my Galaxy Note 3 yesterday and one of the things I noticed was the ability to add users/profiles is missing. This is a core functionality of Android and has been present for quite some time now.
I've gone through the settings many times I have been unable to find a way to add profiles. This is especially useful for people who have small children yet still allow them to use their phones to play children's games, etc. If anyone knows how to utilize this functionality within the Galaxy Note 3, please let me know.
Thank you.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, the profile feature which was added in Android 4.2 is only for tablets (of course unless it's hacked in).
I thought the 4.3 version allowed user profiles for phones too.

I don't think so, as my Galaxy Nexus 4.3 doesn't allow different user profiles as far as I can tell.
Nope.
The feature's only been enabled for tablets. 4.3 brought Restricted Profiles, but it didn't add phone support.

We'll probably get a ROM that hacks it in, don't worry.

Just purchased the Note 8.0...looking for some advice on what I should do with it

First and foremost, I'm debating whether to install a custom ROM on it. I have an S3 running Carbon on it (I can't stand Touchwiz...it angers me to no end) and I'm curious whether there's any crucial features that I will lose on the Note 8 if I ROM it.
I recently started a Post Grad program after a few years of being out of school and first and foremost this will be a note taking/E-Textbook device (back in my day, we had to carry multiple 10 pound text books in our back packs...man kids got it good these days!). Which leads me to my next question: what apps would you guys recommend for that? I already have Papyrus installed (haven't used it yet though), but is there anything else worth checking out? Also, are there any particular ROM's or Launchers that are more geared towards a device like this (Pen capabilities and all).
Thanks in advance
Hi. Note 8 is great device as it is. I would reccomend to stay with touchwiz and original Rom as many custom roms have broken s-pen functionality. Try to update it to newest version - thats all. As for Note talking build in app are top notch IMHO. You have two complete solution - just spend time to learn one of them as they surpass papyrus greatly as a complete solution not only to create but also to manage notes.

Thanks! That Simple Mind app will be very useful for group work at school.
I just stumbled upon this app and I must say it's amazing. Only in beta, but it's a godsend.

[Q] Optimal Setup for automobile | Help with Setup Ideas

Nexus 7 (2013) Running latest lollipop
I keep tablet in car essentially permanently. Landscape mode. I decided I wanted to optimize the setup to mimic a modern car system. Tablet through Bluetooth in car and tethered to my phone (still have my Verizon unlimited data ).
I use mighty text to sync texts from phone. I don't bother trying to take calls on tablet.
I'm using apex or nova and customizing home screen primarily by enlarging icons and removed dock altogether.
I'm 80% there. My last step is what I'm struggling with. I want multiwindow. Ideally divided similar to some cars... Where you might have navigation on large screen and tell smaller screens with text and music, for example. Floating, resizable windows would be best.
I've read and watched tutorials using xposed and modules like xmultiwindow, xhalo, and others. I have xposed installed but I can't get modules to work correctly. I imagine this is due to the alpha nature of xposed with lollipop. I really like the idea of floating windows. If there was a recent version of omnirom or paranoid I'd gladly use it, but I can't find anything newer than 4.4.4.
So, hoping for suggestions. If I was a developer id make an optimized ROM to suit these needs and share. Call it autoROM or something!
Thanks as always!

Just ordered the Tab S4...any tips for a new owner?

Aside from installing Vanced youtube...I am not sure I need root anymore. Weird to say that as I was big into custom ROMs, root, overclocking my phones back in the day
Anyway, mostly using this to replace my aging original Tab S 10.5 which is now been used inside my PC to display CPU speeds, temps, etc.
It was lagging with EMBY and other things even with custom ROMs but I am glad I was able to find a new home for it to be useful.
Thanks for any feedback!
Same boat, I was really into root and other tweaks, now I'll get frustrated if I have to spend much time getting the experience I supposedly paid for. I actually just browse this forums in hopes of an update on next oneUI versions since they seem to have fixed some of the small caveats I find with the current version; sadly we are probably never going to get it though.
Anyway, the tab is beautiful and fast, and it will do most of the things you are expecting without losing a beat. To get the most out of it I would recommend getting the "good lock" apps to further personalize your experience (I wish someone told me about these before since I used the device for a month before finding them). The one hand operation(together with navigating gestures), the task changer(smaller more manageable app changer menu and initializing apps in floating mode from there), and the multistar(some nice tweaks to the floating mode like swiping from a to corner to start floating an that is already on screen) are the most useful in my perspective. I also downloaded an app called edge gestures to personalize my gesture experience even further, and an app called no keyboard because sometimes you just need to select/move/copy/paste text without the keyboard(even floating) to take any space on your screen.
Other nice apps I would recommend would be concepts(though still in development it is a nice vector based, layer-supporting drawing app), write 3.0 for general note taking(snappier stroke experience you'll get on android, and also vector based), and I cannot believe how much I have gotten into 3d sculpting and modeling with an app called nomad(is just so much fun even without knowing what you are doing).
I hope you have a great time with your tablet!

Than you so much for the information! Mine arrives tomorrow. I will research all the apps you mentioned.
I totally agree with Pazzu510. I use my tablet a looooooot, I use it for work and for media. I'm going to recommed you to give it a try the default samunsg apps that comes with the tablet. I LOVE the file explorer, you can syncronize one note and its just perfect. The browser is awesome too, it has a lot of configurations. I use samsung notes for my college notes, but I already tried noteshelf (very good app too, but samsung works better with the spen in my opinion. Try both and use whatever you like more) Xodo, to annotate on pdf or just open them its just a must have. It has a very good integration with the spen, onenote, etc, and you can have mutiple pdfs open.
I recommend you to set the battery limitation to 85% to protect it. And take a time and configure the energy app administration settings to bring you the best experience.
I'm very very happy with my tablet and I hope you the same!!

Thank you very much. It is on the UPS delivery truck and should be here in the next 3 hours or so. Really pumped to finally upgrade from the old S 10.5
Thanks for the tips!
The tablet is fantastic so far. Just trying to figure out which case style I prefer now. Probably will end up with like 4 cases at least.
The one disappointment was the sound...with the 4 speakers "tuned by akg" I was expecting more. My Mate 20x actually sounds better (which I know is highly regarded for sound but still). Luckily speaker usage is not crucial for me.

I thought the same thing. Almost a year later and still no android 11 with the sm-t837T. So that's pretty much my reason for wanting root. Lineage os! I've yet to root this tablet. Wonder is dex is gone it you flash a custom rom
