Check the official twrp website our device now have official twrp recovery
No problem if it is written GT-I9301I as it works also for GT-I9300I
Then try again

I tried via the official recovery from twrp but with every reboot it just boots to Odin mode.

Good work buddy. Much appreciated for sharing.
Am just testing my new I9500 (for warranty purposes) first, and then will apply the CWM & root.
Currently have I9500XXUAMDE, but downloading the newer Thai firmware I9500XXUAMDL. Hopefully this method will work. Will report back later if nobody reports success for this firmware before hand.
Edit, for all those following this thread, don't forget to make a nandroid BEFORE applying the root.
Cheers,
UITA
Edit: HotFile link "404 - Not Found"
I wrote the same in the development tread, so make copy here ...
Hi cofface, thank you for your recovery and root.
I have a question. Your recovery make backup with strange path - /data/media/, but user-accessed area of inner-memory have path - /data/media/0. So we don't have easy access to backup via PC connection. Is this possible to change path for backup?

Both links not working
I already rooted with your previous recovery which has worked fine. Whats the story on this one, any need to upgrade to it? As I read it this is just to enable the same recovery for newer firmwares that the older version wasn't working with? I'm on DE and there was no update available to me in Kies.
Not working for - I9500XXUAMDL
Not Working for I9500XXUAMDK
Works fine on SHV-E300S(SGS4 in Korea, EXYNOS 5410).
Flashing update.zip files and wiping cache and dalvik-cache works flawless
Thx a lot dev!

This Recovery flashes KitKat Roms Perfectly.
But Before Flashing There a few Steps/Cautions To be taken:
1.After downloading the rom replace the update binary in
\META-INF\com\google\android with the one I am providing.
2.Open updater script in exact same location as above and search for line that starts with 'assert', and delete those lines from updater script.
Doing the above steps is necessary or the recovery wont flash KitKat Roms.
Above Procedure is only for KK roms. JB roms do not reqiure this or any other procedure other than flashing
After Doing Above Procedure I myself flashed and checked CM,PAC & AOSB. They flashed perfectly and worked flawlessly.

Can you please elaborate the installation of the updater script I mean the path file . [emoji3]
and the touch isnt working help pls
Hi,
I own a Canvas 4 (A210).
I downloaded Philz recovery from the link http://d-h.st/dw3.
But instead of downloading from the DOWNLOAD NOW BUTTON, i did it from the DOWNLOAD BUTTON.
The file size was only 206 KB. I didn't observe this and this was my mistake.
i flashed the same through Mobile Uncle Tool and after flashing the screen started flickering, and got struck in the logo screen.
i rebooted the same, but no change.
I flashed custom Rom through SP tools and booted, but the touch screen was flipped and the touch Erratic. and was unable to go ahead the setup screen.
I tried flashing the Recovery from the link you have posted and was successful, but the main problem remained.
I tried flashing different ROM's , but the touch screen problem remained.
The handset was sent to service center and they said that the touch screen needs to be replaced and would cost 3000 + 1 month warranty.
I am now on stock ROM with setup screen.
I read at the link posted below that there is a manual mode available to set the resolution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748169.
Is is possible for me to do it ( i am no software engineer)
Or my only option is get the screen replaced.
Please help me out

[ROM][6.0.1 & 5.1][SPROUT4] Stock Debloated-Prerooted and Untouched ROMs [22.06.2016]
Nothing can be as stable as stock ROM but we don't like the bloat that comes with it. Root is a must for android enthusiasts. Also if stock ROM is tweaked a little for performance, then this becomes a perfect replacement of official stock firmware which can be happily used as a daily driver, forever. So here I am serving the community with FULLY DEBLOATED and PRE-ROOTED stock Marshmallow and Lollipop ROMs. I have also made flashable zips of pure (untouched) stock ROM which can be used to unbrick your sprout4. All ROMs are made from twrp backup of fully updated (last ota was recieved on June 2016) Canvas A1 device
Two flavours of stock ROM are available to download viz. Optimised and Untouched
1. Optimised
> Fully debloated
> Pre-rooted with @Chainfire's excellent SuperSU
> Zipaligned apps and framework
> Busybox installed (for Lollipop only)
2. Untouched
> Nothing added, nothing removed pure stock
> Useful for reverting back to stock
PRE-REQUISITE: Custom recovery installed [TWRP Recommended]
INSTRUCTIONS
> Reboot to recovery.
HOW? Power off completely. Hold Vol Up then Power button. Use Vol Up to point to "Recovery mode". Then hit Vol Down to select it.
> Wipe cache, dalvik cache and factory reset the device
> Wipe system if coming from a custom ROM or Downgrading lollipop
> Install the zip
> Reboot device. First boot will take 20-25 mins. Just be patient
DOWNLOADS

Download Link: http://d-h.st/HzW0 [TWRP Recovery 3.0.2 & Super SU installed] with this you may not update Super SU apk through Play Store (not tried)
Can confirm that the above works (TWRP Recovery & Super SU). Have root now. Thanks :good::good:

I meant the Super SU apk may not be updated through Playstore, Patched kernel working with TWRP & SU, tested with my Z3+ (single)
Thanks for this kernel. Have now been able to flash latest .11 firmware. Only issue, which isn't a biggie, is bootloop with Luckypatcher. Don't really need it anymore but liked playing with it. Might try with your kernel that just includes TWRP and install supersu separately. Apart from that all is working better than previous version. Better battery and way less heat.
Thanks again. And your English is fine!
can i use this for dual sim version?

DRM fixed Stock Kernel for Version 32.2.A.5.11
1. I just followed a guide by najoor and used the tool developed by tobias.waldvogel. So All Credits to tobias.waldvogel for his superb tool and najoor for his guide.
2. Sony RIC, DM Variety disabled and DRM Fixed, Busy Box installed Stock Kernel
3. Requirement: Unlocked Boot Loader and Stock Ver. 32.2.A.5.11 installed
4. Flash it at your own risk, I am not responsible if it bricks your device.
5. Unpack the Zip and use Fastboot commands to flash Kernel, Recovery.
6. After flashing Kernel & Cutom Recovery, to log into Recovery, press Volume up when yellow LED turns on or Switch On the phone by pressing Power+ Vol Down for a while and release. Latest SU zip can be flashed using Custom Recovery
7. I tested this on my Z3+ (Single) and X-reality working. This is my first upload. Sorry if anyone get trouble by this
