I was going to buy it tomorrow but money is a little tight. My wife got her S4 for like a penny at a Sam's Club last year...do you guys think there will be similar deals. Part of me wants you to say no but I am trying to be mature here...

are their any officially projected sale prices for the galaxy note 2 during the upcoming sales frenzy and also, where will be the best places to buy the note 2 (in terms of price, extras if any, gift cards or kick backs, accessories, extended warranties)? I'm ready to buy now, but figure i'd start my usually penny pinching process of shopping for the best deal before i just go to sprint and hand over $300 bills.
also, if i were to before blackfriday/cyber monday...say from BB or something, then they went on sale wouldn't the price difference be given?
I know for the Holiday season, Best Buy is price matching their online competitors. So it may be beneficial to support a brick and mortar store as opposed to an online retailer. Also, Samsung has a Black Friday sign up on their main website at Samsung.com, so you can always check their and sign up to be notified.

Might be a good idea to post non premiere/ATT pricing here as more non early adopter people like me begin to look for the Note II deals.
I have not decided between this and the N7100 yet. But I am leaning towards the ATT version if I can save $400.
Costco has the S3 for $129 and the Note I for $99.I wonder how much the Note 2 will be.
. Had my Note on Ebay for a half a day at $250 and decided to take it down and wait till after black Friday and see what deals pop up. I am not going to call ATT to play CSR roulette for $100 off. Deals should be popping up soon off the ATT grid. Already have Multi Window and Gmail 4.2. Frankly multi window is as gimmicky as the pop out video. MAybe on a 10" tablet it would be worthy

The Costco here said it will likely be around $279 with a pile of junk covers and protectors and stuff.
Any idea if they will have it for $199.99 for Black Friday (11/23)

That's the magic number for me to upgrade. I know some are playing CSR roulette and getting that price. I would rather wait and see who blinks.

Sam's Club will have it next Friday for 96 cents with 2 year contract. There is a thread about the Sam's club black friday.
You can always sign up for Sam's Club and cancel their membership anytime and they will refund you the membership money no questions asked.
Sam's club also does not have a double ETF like Amazon/Wirefly etc.

Agreed, not a good deal. They were on sale for $174 for a month on Amazon
I find it funny that people still pay full 2 year contract pricing.
Only 2 phones I could not find at least 50% off asking price is iphones (new iterations) and latest blackberry bold (do not know why this still cost)

$299 is what most carriers are selling it for, especially on contract upgrade/extension. You sometimes get a better deal on a new contract (i.e., you aren't a current customer.)
Amazon had them for about $175 for a little bit but not on a contract upgrade. Then they went to $249, then $289. They seem to be back to $249 now on most carriers.
Usually the cheapest place is cartoys.com based in Seattle. Among other things, you get free shipping and no tax unless you live in Washington or a couple other states. AT&T (and I assume the other carriers) charge tax on the $699 list price. So here in California, the tax is about $60.
Cartoys finally has them available at $249. I did manage to get the only two they had a couple weeks ago at $149 each! I had been following their web site and they accidentally had posted them on the website at that price. I called and they discovered they shouldn't have posted them on the site because they didn't have any stock. So they took them down from the web site. I called a few days later and they had two phones in stock. With some taking, I was able to talk them in to selling them to me. But I wouldn't expect to see them at that price again for a bit.
So I am up for a upgrade next week on the 18th and I really wanted to upgrade from the Skyrocket to the Note II. I want to try to find the best deal, because at the current $300 I don't think I would be able to get it. A month or so ago a couple people had luck getting Best Buy to price match the $99 Amazon Wireless price for the Note II on Sprint.. for a upgrade on AT&T. I have no idea how they got it to go through but someone even posted a copy of his receipt from Best Buy. Last week I called about 20 times trying to get a discount from AT&T customer service, since people had luck with them as well, but that failed. So I went down to Best Buy and they wouldn't do it either, even with the copy of the receipt. I just read about the $200 deal from Best Buy for the previous weekend and it sucks because people were able to get these great deals, and now that my upgrade is actually here I am going to miss out. Anyway, now that my rant is over, I was wondering if there are certain things people say or tricks that allow them to get places like Best Buy to lower prices that much and if I would be able to get a great deal next week.

See what the current deals are @ Radio Shack, Costco, Sams Club, etc. Bring those ads in to Best Buy and see what they will price match... if that doesn't work, show some leg.

I called AT&T customer service (several times) & talked to them about what a great customer I was & I was able to get it for $199 (the week of release!) They even waived all activation fees, & over nite shipping! There is a thread here about it if you do a search! (that is how I got the idea!)
I got ours from best buy for like $230 and found online for $99 thru sprint and best buy matched!

Really.... I saw that a couple people posted about success at BB with price matching sprint but when I went in they said its for sprint and they won't price match for att. Currently there is a deal going on at BB that they give you $50 rewards points. Also RadioShack has note 2 upgrade for $200 so hopefully I can get BB to price match and then get the $50 off and get the note for $150.
But I would still like to get the $99 price match.. do you still have your receipt from when you got yours?

Amazon Wireless has it for $199 with an upgrade or new contract. That's where I got mine.
Best buy got my note 2 for $139 ..as well radio shack does price match as long as you bring in a printed Ad with competitor's price

I am going tomorrow to finally get it from Best Buy.. I'm going to get them to price match radio shack and they seem to be having some deal where they give you $50 dollar credit.. so hopefully I will be able to get both those things and get if for $150.
How were you able to get it for $139 from Best Buy?..
Was on sale for $199 said I seen ad online for $150 which they found and matched then applied for bestbuy card which got denied lol and that gave me a $10 discount for applying but if you get approved you get $20 off so you can get it down a bit..of course went to NH were there is no tax haha
