So far the new version only works correctly on devices with Android 5.0 (Lollipop), previous versions misfiring and closures. You have to be root and replace a system file. We have to install 4.0 and Google Google Launcher 1.1.1 Now, make a copy of libgooglehotwordjni.so file (/ system / lib) and replace it with the version that you can download here:
libgooglehotwordjni.so
Google Play Movies
Google Play Movies
Google Play Games
Google Play Games
Google Play Music
Google Play Music
Google Play Books
Google Play Books
Messenger

Note that at the moment is an application that is fully functional but is not a final version, so that may not work properly on some devices or some specific Android versions.
only need to install our Android without more, download the application and install like any other apk.
Gmail 5.0, support for accounts on other services.
Tutorial:
-Delete your current GMail app or rename.
-Move new Gmail App /System/app changing permissions rw-r-r.
-Edit build.prop, edit the following line:
ro.build.type=user
to
ro.buid.type=userdebug
-Reboot.

Google Search - Latest Update
v3.1.8
Changes:
It officially brings Search version 3 (3.1.8 to be exact) that shipped in KitKat to all devices running 4.1+. This includes an updated UI, new refresh animation, among other things.
Because Search houses the Google Experience Launcher (GEL) inside, this update also brings GEL to all devices running Android 4.1+. All you need to do after installing Search 3.1.8 is install the launcher app from here, and voila - GEL for all, not just KitKat devices. I have it running on 4.1, 4.3, and 4.4 on both phones and tablets, and it finally looks perfect.
As I mentioned above, 3.1.8 completely fixes the wonky GEL layout on tablets. As you may have seen yesterday, several things on the Nexus 7, for example, were out of whack - the keyboard was popping when you tapped Home, the icons were old, and the Search box was off-center. All fixed.
Remember: GEL does support transparency in the navigation and status bars, but you need KitKat for that to work. And Google disabled it system-wide on the Nexus 10.
New cards:
Website update card
News topic card
What to watch card
Traffic incidents using Waze on maps.
Recurring reminders.
Real-time scores for rugby teams
See when your packages are ready for in-store pickup.
You can now bring back dismissed cards by pressing Undo.
Download
The APK is signed by Google and upgrades your existing app. The cryptographic signature guarantees that the file is safe to install and was not tampered with in any way. Rather than wait for Google to push this download to your devices, which can take days, download and install it just like any other APK.
File name: com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-3.1.8.914827.arm.apk.
Version: 3.1.8 (Android 4.1+).
MD5: dea923f514f59ac6d040401bd00d1209.

Once again, if you want GEL to work, install the launcher helper APK from here.

I had a similar issue and was told by someone who loads a lot of these that the apks for the store have to be installed in proper order. I believe if I remember correctly that it was just one of them that had to be installed first and the others didn't matter, but cannot remember which one. I think it might have been the framework, but am not positive about that. If I am incorrect about this I'm sure someone will chime in and answer! You could always try it and if it didn't work remove them and instal in a different order.
You do not have to uninstall any of the 4 google related apks. Simply reinstall them from adb with -r option.
Also, there are later versions of Google Play Services and Google Play Store apps.
Google Play Services = Latest is 6.1.83
Google Play Store = Latest is 5.0.31
I can confirm they both work on FTVs (with the latest firmware)
Download links for the updated apks
Links for download:
Google Play Services: http://www.mediafire.com/download/4721cgqc9ktjj5m/Google_Play_Services_v6.1.83_(1522025-036).apk
Google Play Store: http://www.mediafire.com/download/l3s46qotly4skkg/Google_Play_Store_v5.0.31.apk
In settings enable unknown source, its next to a adb. Install google account, google play service, framework and google play store. After that I deleted youtube, and installed youtube google tv from the play store. This worked for me.

How about to get rid of Motorolas /sbin/qe daemon too?
I have created a custom boot.img with phh's superuser (systemless) and removed qe daemon,
so your suggestions are great next step.

Google Assistant for the HTC Desire EYE

Google Assistant is a great addition to Android and it works like Siri. You can even ask it whether she likes Siri!
It was previously available only in Google smartphones but Google gradually started giving it out to many others running Marshmallow and Nougat a few months back.
Only for Android Marshmallow users!!! You can find an awesome Marshmallow 6.0.1 ROM from xxMiniWhopperxx on this forum. I'm using it too.
:good::good::good: Thanks to xxMiniWhopperxx :good::good::good:
If you're using a custom OS like CyanogenMod you can get it with the latest Open GApps Aroma package.
The software update which includes the Google Assistant is not available in many countries for the Desire Eye.
Even the marshmallow update is not available in many countries.
To have Google Assistant you phone language should be set to English (US)
Google Assistant replaces Google Now and includes a ton more features !!

Hi!
I installed the latest beta version of Google Services a few minutes ago and it worked. You can find it in apkmirror.
Please note that you need to know the following information on your phone: Architecture, Android version and DPI of the screen. You can have this information with the Droid Hardware Info app in the Play Store.
With the information in hand, you choose the required variant, download and install the APK.
I hope this helps.
