Lock my phone app? - Moto 360

Hi..is there a app that can lock the phone from the Watch? Like let's say someone picks the phone up and I can just lock it from my watch.

The app Wock on the play store is perfect for this. I use it without any problems.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.notexists.app.lockmyphone or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.delayedlock2.trial

Thanks

I use Delayed Lock. it locks the phone when it looses connection to your watch or you can manually lock it as well.

Anyone figure out how to get it working over ATT?
I thought it was good to go, but after turning on NFC and downloading the app, it says not compatible.
Which is weird since its an unlocked phone.
Do you need to turn on NFC while downloading? Did you try downloading with NFC off?
Maybe either the frequency or software might not be compatible.

Someone with an Xperia Z was able to get it to work. Maybe you could test yourself and report back.

Is anyone else having an issue with NFC. Mine wont switch on. When i tick the box, it automatically unticks. I did copy down a load of app data so maybe i copied over a system one automatically. Any ideas?
Edit: Uninstalled the re-installed Google Wallet. Went in to apps -> NFC service. Cleared all the data and stopped the service. Rebooted the phone and it worked fine. Chose Google Wallet as wallet provider, turned the screen off, then turned it back on and now i'm back to the same problem.

Fantastic. Thanks very much.
Edit: Worked perfectly. Now i'm hoping someone creates a flashable fix for Google Wallet. I dont like manually fiddling with prop files.

Me too, followed the instructions on the Z forum @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40897879#post40897879
The only thing was I left the build.prop with the Galaxy Nexus settings .. changing them back to the Xperia entries broke Wallet after a reboot.

why u can't change it back??! I can change back to sony without problem
there is one thing after install wallet don't update from market.
No idea, each time I revert back to the Sony build.prop after a reboot I get the Google Wallet message "Your device is not supported". When I use the Nexus build.prop is works fine. Odd that I'm getting this error.
strange!! I am c6506 tmobile
So, by all the posts here, Google Wallet does not work without some hackery? I find that interesting, considering it seems that the phone intentionally supported it. I'd love to know who dropped the ball here, Sony or Google. I would love to have Google Wallet working on my ZL, but I refuse to root my phone and alter the build.prop to get it there.
It's definitely Google's fault here. They update Google Wallet every so often with new handset support. Maybe in the next update...maybe.

I kind of figured that would be the case. I hope Google decides to support the ZL as having a non-carrier branded phone (and thus choices like Google Wallet) was half of the allure of the ZL for me.

GPS SatNav Failure

I have found the first real issue with the M8.
The GPS fails during navigation and cannot get proper lock. That meant it kept trying to recalculate routes etc...
My friends have also had same issue.
Location settings were set on the best option too. Full mobile signal and internet as well.

Hardware related or do you think it's a problem with the OS?
No problem on GPS here. I get a quick lock and it stays on.
Using Sygic.

Google navigation and TomTom both failed on different M8s.
It works for a bit, but when it goes wrong you will know about it.
I am hoping only software, but I have no idea of issues or how to fix it.
If you are rooted or unlocked, try this GPS config ... its for quick good AGPS lock before actual GPS one.

Using with Co-Pilot Premium and works great. Locks on quickly and stays on. No problems at all.
Can't say I've noticed the issue. I use Waze. My Note II used to constantly lose GPS fix. Was irritating! Hope it doesn't start on my M8.

I'm not adversed to anythng BUT I have just bought a £500 plus phone. I would rather not void a warranty yet.... also some of my apps won't work on a rooted device.
I have no problem on my phone. all is ok.
GPS has been the best I've ever experienced on a smartphone. Locks quickly and accurately and the only device ever to get a decent lock inside my concrete flat.
However, yesterday the GPS failed completely whilst driving with clear view of the sky. A reboot fixed it and it was then rock solid again.
That's the only time it's done it in about a week since owning it with about 20 hours driving with it.
I'm hoping that means it's a software issue somewhere.

I can confirm that my GPS nav has been broken for about a month or more, using Waze and Google Maps
The latest System update released on 6/15/2014 has resolved the issue

Yep gonna agree works perfect with copilot. Also better than sygic imo. I also wouldn't bother with Google navigation. Better to use an offline satnav app.
I have this problem too... Doesn't seem to matter which app one are using, it also happens with my golf app... And the only way to fix it, is to reboot the phone.. This is really annoying...
It seems to be related to bluetooth use... If I use BT to play music/listen to audiobook at the same time as I use the navigation app, then I have this problem.. If I turn off the BT, then the problem does not seem to appear... I am saying seem to, because it seems to be random when this occurs so not 100% sure that turning off BT fixes the problem but so far I have not had this problem when BT is off..
I also thought this was fixed in the latest update but yesterday it happend again....

Smart Notice Widget Weather

Hey guys.
Has anyone managed to get the weather to show in the smart notice widget without turning on GPS/Location services. I have added my local city but it refuses to show the weather. It has only shown when I turned GPS on. Is there anyway to get it working without using GPS as I want to save my battery. On the G2 this method worked fine with the weather widget.

Why not use GPS? The battery use from is negligible. I don't even notice a difference. Use the phone how it was meant to be used.

Well... GPS doesn't work either. I wonder if someone can *copy* the deoxed version of this weather app so we can replace in the Korean version.
If possible also the dialer

Wifi cannot be set up in Smart Lock as a Trusted Device... but BT can?

So I see in Smart Lock settings you can set Trusted Devices and only set BT. But you cannot set a Wifi router as a "trusted device"? How much more trusted can it get then your local wifi? That seems pretty nutty. Is this a stupid Verizon thing?
Nope. International version is like that too. Also on nexus devices there is no Wi-Fi trusted devices. Once we get root I use tasker to do this.

Super stupid. super annoying. But, there is a way.
If you use xPosed, there is the No Lock Home module, which will do the WiFi portion.
Alternately, the app Delayed Lock can do wifi and more.

AW 2.0 - Google assistant and playstore not working through bluetooth, only with wifi

So after hours of trying to update I finally managed to but now this really bugs me. I can't use google assistant or the store throu my phones 4G, it only works if I turn on the wifi on the watch, and I can't really count on this. Have anyone had this issue and solved it?
EDIT: I just tried using google maps on my watch and there is no map. It seems like if there is no wifi no application will ever user the phones internet through bluetooth
EDIT: It seems to be working fine after factory reset.
Note to self: Always do factory reset after major update XD

1. give manually all authorizations to Wear App and try if it works...
2.Remove your watch from Wear app on the phone, delete data/cache
of Wear APP, then reset your watch and pair again.
Pay attention to give all authorizations to wear app when requested...
It should work...

I have the same problem with my Huawei Watch classic (wear 2.0) and my xiaomi redmi 4 prime. The watch can't access internet over bluetooth connection of the phone: notifications are ok but no google voice commands and no playstore browse application (no network available).
If I switch on wifi on watch everything works well.
The issue appears after some hours from latest phone restart (before it works well).
I did a factory reset on watch (not in phone...)

Same for me bluetooth in watch apears disconect, but notifications are ok
I have noticed that when phone is connected to my home wifi watch cannot reach internet over bluetooth. As soon as I turn off wifi on phone so it connects to internet over mobile network internet works from watch over bluetooth as well. No idea why. Thought maybe it is my router but try it out and see if this is the case for you as well.

This was good info, but doesn't work for me. I have Hauwei watch that was working fine with my iPhone 6, then I upgraded to the iPhone 8 plus and am having problems of BT connecting and no GA or play store. Today BT has been stable, and GA works fine, but still no Play Store. It just clocks and then times out, no matter what BT or wifi settings I use. How can the watch work fine, but not access Play store?
Well in case someone has a Huawei phone like I have and was having the issues here, in my case it was due to the stay connected option within Android Wear that was FCing with my stock ROMs. Had to move to CM13 to finally get that working.
Interesting that it was the same with Android Wear 1.5 yet my watch never lost connection until I move to 2.0
Anyways...seems like 2.0 is a lot more picking about this and yes it was weird that I could get all notfications from my phone BUT couldnt get internet access to Ok Google, the store, etc.
