PA or cyanogenmod?
Hello everybody! Just a quick question: I am having huge issues with CM11 M11 on my maguro, so I would like to ask if this is a good moment to give PA a try? Any big downside of PA 4.6 beta4 compared to cyanogenmod (M10)?

hello i just installed the altest version on your rom and i cant found some major settings ( i looked for seperate settings like paranoid android settings but its not there) for instance i can't find the settings for slide shortcuts on lockscreen

Hi,
I recently updated to the PA beta 4 version. Before this i was running another custom rom with the same baseband. Now i cannot connect to my network no matter what i try. Also updated to beta 5. Tried Airplane mode, switching to wcdma only mode and flashing again.. Please help.. I am Using Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Also when i manually select the network, it says cannot connect to network right now and on auto registration, it shows registered on network but doesn't actually register. Thanx in advance..

The thing is there are no separate settings for some things in this rom. Find the below post usefull to check all available settings and changes...

Galaxy nexus+ any kikat rom= no 2g or 3g network
i'm facing this weird issue, 1st i thought that it might be the rom issue but now i know its not like that. its somthing else. please help Its Maguro Nexus.

OTA Can't update to Beta 6.
I am trying to update from beta 5 to beta 6 using OTA. After the reboot I get in CWM some error about the Rom Manager (which i have installed for my backups), I choose reboot and when I'm back in the OS, while the download bubble for the zip file still exists OTA does not "see" any recent files and I have to download it all over again. Any thoughts?

Nevermind just selected manually the zip in CWM and everything worked!

Could anyone speculate a reason why I wouldn't be receiving the latest google apps updates (maps 9.0 and calendar, for example) through play store? Its always upsetting receiving google apps updates on my iOS devices before receiving them on the Nexus.

Paranoid Android has become very laggy on my device. So i'll be moving to other roms now. It has been a nice journey. Hope you release Lollipop builds soon.

Sometimes the signal desapear , so i have to restart my phone to work.

The chrome issue can be 'fixed' by blacklisting chrome also in the xposed module xHaloFloatingWindow.

i think that p.a. 5.0 will never come on our Gnexus. he has 3 years, it's time to change it or stay with 4.4.4

How can I use tablet/hybrid mode?
I have seen many reviews etc that are praising the tablet mode, but I cannot find it anywhere.

I think you should try the paranoid 4.6 BETA 6 if you haven't tried it. If you tried it and you feel it is little bit sluggish, try it along with "Performance Booster" app from the app store and some overclocking app. I'm using the same combo and have overclocked to 1420 MHz (using SetCPU). Also, this time I installed Gapps MICRO version instead of the whole shebang. It's been almost a month and my phone is still usable - I don't use my phone for games though.

my Gnex has the USB bug and I need the "no wake on charge" option. Is there any possibility that I can find this on this rom.

Hi, please see my post in old thread

I am having a problem with this rom. It runs great and is surprisingly fast and smooth. But I just saw in F-Droid that the rom reports that it does not provide android.hardware.telephony. This wonders me because I am able to call.

Is there any possible to have 5.0 running on our device?

The easiest way to install recovery is by using that app , any way if your not able to install via application then you must try fastboot or use secondary app like flashify to install recovery . And i really don't know about flash able zip file files for recovery !!

zip files are easy. . . . download, boot into clockworkmod, select install zip fiel, boom! done.
This useless app won't even install. all it does is give me stupid information about what a release candidate is...well least I get my refund. back to square one.
Can anyone help me install a new version of clockwork mod? for desire z/G2 PLEASE?

I have one question and a short unrelated diatribe. My question is: I just rooted a G2, and this was the first rom I installed. Occasionally I'm losing service/gps etc and I'm assuming I just need to update the radio. Through my research I understand I'll need a matching RIL file for my rom to accompany the radio firmware update. How would I do that for this rom? Or do I need to?
On an unrelated note, I'd like to say thanks so much for continuing to provide nightlies for this phone. I just bought a G2 because the form-factor/hardware feature-set is perfect for me and is also super rare/no longer produced (qwerty slide-out kb, trackpad). Having the hardware feature-set along with up-to-date functional software to boot is HUGE for me. Especially considering the latest nightly upload patched stagefright. KitKat runs almost flawlessly considering the fact that I overclock to 1.5Ghz (didn't seem to effect battery life), reduce animations, don't use the gapps package / google play framework and shy away from bloated apps (besides spotify). With a little thought and creativity in configuration and app selection I have no major issues. For example, good ol brut mod gmaps runs super fast (with some bugs). The classic rolle tube modded youtube app works better than any version of google's youtube app ever has and it even lets me shut off the screen when listening to music.
I've always been bothered by the fact that the android after-market rom dev community seems to mostly abandon projects and let them drift into link-rot hell about as fast as manufacturers put out new phones. No disrespect to the people volunteering their time to make old phones last a couple more years, but when a dev puts themselves out there as a service provider I believe there's a certain degree of responsibility that comes with the implied trust and reliance others are giving the dev by using their rom. So anyways thanks for keeping this one alive. If development ever dries up for the G2 I'll likely roll up my sleeves and figure out rom dev for myself.

I've installed cyanogenmod 11.0.
It is not possible to type numbers or symbols with fn+letter on the hardware keyboard. exept [email protected] gives a !.
I tried serveral language mappings but it is always the same result.

Issue with Wifi
Hi,
First, Thank you making such a beauty. I'm throughly enjoying this ROM.
But it looks like while I was installing it gave me a message: Skipping MJ5 as file is missing. And Wifi is connected all the time but it's not working. Checked from the router side all set on that.
Secondly, Does the air gesture and all work ? Because nothing seem to working for me.
I'm new to this. But I have followed all the steps according to the videos on YouTube by your team. I'm not sure If I made any mistake.
Could you please assist me in fixing the issue ?

Recently i've updated the rom on my N7100 and trip knox.
After that the wifi stop working.
I've basically tried almost everything.
As last measure, I use KIES and revert to latest default ROM.
But still my wifi won't work!!!
I've tried to flash the wifi fix but it failed due to ver issue.
Any tips on what to do next??!!

Can't get into philz recovery
Hello. I flashed philz_touch recovery and nothing. 3 different versions, odin says that it has succeeded, but when I go into recovery, it's standard Android system recovery. Anyone knows how to solve this, please?
EDIT: I'm on 4.3, MJ9
EDIT2: Figured it out with the help of dr. Ketan (thanks again!!). For other noobs on 4.3: You have to untick reboot option and manually reboot your phone after flashing philz recovery and also, you have to install philz recovery which dr. provides and not the newest like the vid says, otherwise the multitool will freeze during installation.

Wifi NOTE II

Updated my Note 2 is with kitkat 4.4.2 by kies. It was then that I could not turn on the Wifi. I press the icon to activate and is simply activating and then stops.
I put the OMEGAROM, saying solve the problem but it did not work.
I followed his advice, but did not work.

Camera app
After updating to RC11 I didn't have an stock camera app. If you don't,download the google camera zip from the post with all the gapps,extract it and install the apk from system\app,then it'll work

Bluetooth won't connect
Hi,
I run cm11 rc13 on my gio. I paired it with my tablet. I can send and receive files.
However, the connection won't stay. This is frustrating because I want to use my phone to smart unlock my tablet.
Is this a known bug, or am I the only one experiencing it?

I think Gio doesn't support ext4
As the title says,I can't seem to make my Gio running RC11 To make my sd-card an ext4 partition,the recovery makes it ext3 even do selected ext4. Any support? Need it for space issues

Hi;Can any one Use Cast Screen in this rom? I Have a LG Smart TV and For use cast Screen First Should Conect to TV via WIFI Direct But This rom Hasn't WiFI Direct! Can anyone advise what should I do? (Sorry for Bad English!)

Doing a wipe after the flashing causes the phone to hang one step earlier - with the Samsung logo.
- CWM 6.0.5.3.
- CM11 4.4.4 RC13 / RC14 (both give same problem)
- Flashed from stock ROM (A 2.3.7)

Anyone has got a2sd darktremor working with cm11 Rom? After Installing referring steps from many installation guides, used 2.7.5.3 beta04 script with ext4(512mb) partition, when i do an a2sd check it says

I have the same issue, have you come across a fix? Also, where did you download your stock ROM from? I can't find any links that work anymore! I have found one, but its all in a language I cannot read! :S

i tried that. did a factory reset. flashed rom, wiped dalvik/cache, and installed brand new fb app, and it still closes after few sec's...
if anyone has a solution.....

Hi, im using the Deodexed+Rooted build and its realy nice, works great, no bugs or problems.
Now i wanted to install busybox and it showed me an error occured.. i checked my apps and saw that superuser from clockwork mod seems to be installed from default as sytemapp...
i flashed the update file from OP wiped davlik/cache and after reboot same thing... so im confused..
did i miss something while flashing? or will i have to restart from zero and flash again? or is there another solution?

Also, i have a great respect for the time and work the devs invest in their ROM's and im very happy they make this work.
Now i have 2 Questions that i cant find directly answered anywhere.
1. Is there a difference in building ROM's for x86 based devices, or could i follow the usual tutorials (except nedded tools etc.)?
2. Does anywhere exist a kind of "minimum" ROM?
i mean simply everything it needs to work, nothing more?
shure i know certain apps etc are needed, but id really appreciate a ROM with no personal touch, only absolut needet stuff (in case of doubt leaved as known from original) but nothin more? so i can (and have to) install what i want without need of uninstall this or that...?
oh and a third question, sry....
is there a dummy way to edit the "apps included" (sry my english is bad) of an custom rom? kinda take this app... change this app with that one or so?

I have installed my P5200 with this ROM using TWRP v2.7.1.0. But there is problem, my device always rebooted when i open some app like clean master and Photoshop Touch. What should i do to fix this problem ?
