here in Croatia we have a problem with HTC ONE M8 (and M8 dual sim) and one network provider. Data connection is breaking non-stop (every few mins).
For M8, this issue was fixed with software update (users said).
For M8 Dual-SIM - no new software yet, I have 4.4.2.. Is there a other solution to fix it. Any experienced from other networks/countries?

there hasn't been a fix yet, and HTC Turkey at leats, is not aware of the problem.
But it is not every few minutes on every location, so you might be referring to something else.
Sounds similar... in Croatia it is fixed with latest fw upgrade for M8. Still waiting for M8 dual-SIM upgrade

I will check with users of normal M8.. I have dual-SIM so I cannot check. I am on 4.4.2

If you are rooted there is simple FIX, simple disable FD8 (Fast dormacy 8)
ro.ril.enable.r8fd=1
ro.ril.enable.pre_r8fd=1
Change both to =0 and issue will be fixed.
If your not rooted only fix is to keep HotSpot enabled than data connection wont break.

I too am from Turkey, have a One M8 and a Turkcell user and having these 3g data drop issues. While I do know rooting comes with many perks I don't really want to go through the hassle and risk bricking my brand new phone. I tried the Hotspot Shield trick but unfortunately that was in vain as well. So, any other updates on this topic? I also want to point out that afaik all sufferers who submitted posts here are Turkcell users. Does anyone know any other carrier customer who owns an M8? Are they having the same issues too?

I bought 2 mounts a go my HTC M8 from Turkcell. I was send my phone to service they change battery and sim card slot noting changed. HTC after sale support are terrible don't send your phone to service my phone came back after 20 days.

Is it possible I can't find the FD8 because I am using an RUU for American carrier (sprint, bought the phone in the USA) ? I am having this issue for a long time already and finnaly I found people with same problems.
Also, do you maybe have RUU for VIP Croatia?

There isnt such RUU or ever was, and if you dont have this options in build prop, try actualy adding them and set them to 0, but problems your having are probable because your using that base, it was fixed in one OTA, and it required RIL lib to fix data issue, your base doenst have this fix.Any other INT rom must work ok

Many thanks, I will go with the EU RUU found here on the forum. It is a different radio version also but I am s off and superCid, so should be no problems?
This is the RUU I will go with;

I'm using rooted One M8 Android 5. I changed build.prop file as you said with root explorer as r/w mode successfully but when I reboot my phone then when I check the build.prop file, it is unchanged. Build.prop file is always back to older version. How can I solve this issue?
Also I tried several times with ES file manager, root browser, buildprop editor but it always turn back to older version after the reboot.

ITS HTC write protection, you can flash kernel/or WP kernel module to enable it, or S OFF device to gain full acces to device nand.
Its mostly integrated in any custom rom.

I have tried this ROM too, thanks to Sky Man:
1) yes it can run on any CID unlocked Diamond
2) yes it can make calls. I had exactly the same problem at first. You have to go to the phone/band settings: by default, it's set on 3G only. U've got to change this according with the service available where you live (automatic, GSM, try and see which setting works better for you)
3) the ROM was running fine and fast but I came a across a major bug, therefore I had to uninstall it: after the phone entered sleep mode there was no way to wake it up. Pressing the 'on' button would have no effect and I had to soft reset every time.
Thanks Sky Man for your hardwork anyway. Hope this can be fixed.
(I reinstalled telsta ROM and the bug has disapeared.

There could be a chance that your radio doesnt work with my ROM (actually, the rom from Softbank). Since I didnt do any tuning or mods on the settings, and I have no problem of using the ROM, therefore, I guess the problem could be radio (Im just gussing)
Other people who used this rom pls comment on it ~

After you flash the rom, the softbank setting should be already there and you cant do any modification on it... Im using the same rom with softbank sim card.

the additional data is in the cd-rom which comes with the phone when you buy it. it's not in the rom, and you have to install the data from the cd-rom.
Why does Japanese roms only say 3G and not H? The Japanese ROM i tried only had 3G, but all the wwe roms I tried show H.

i'm trying the x05ht rom in the US on my HTC FUZE(Raphael) but i seem to have the USIM nag on mine too. i was wondering how you removed it from the x04ht rom? maybe you can remove it the same way on the x05ht rom too? i greatly appreciate it!! thanks!!

Wow I just tried this rom and it is way better then any other rom out for this phone right now. Its fast, has no bugs and gets the job done. LG really did a great job on this rom.
Tried this update last night and it bricked my phone. Called ATT & LG customer service and I now have to send my phone in to LG for repair/replacement. Half way through the update I ran into an error and it asked that I restart (3 times) after which it said contact customer service and exit. Now my computer won't recognize my phone when plugged in thru usb and so I can't try to restart the update. I believe the phone was wiped clean. Anyway, I guess I'll just send it in and let LG figure it out.

Yes, i just flashed my Telus IQ with this rom. It works great, but you'll have to setup your data connection since it is pre-set for AT&T
For those who stuck at 25%, while stuck plug out the cable and quickly replug-in, that's all.

Thanks. I know how to flash it but how do I set things for TELUS CANADA because V10G is for EXPO and I have LG IQ GW825 from Telus.
Reverting to the official V10g has fixed every problem I met with Dragonstorm 23139. My expo is now running perfectly well, guarantee.
Before this I was convinced that Dark's 23139 is my final resort, and I would nearly buy a new Android phone by now.

In connection settings page, go to advance tab. Click new (upper one). It opens up a new windows. After typing name of connection, go to modem tab and type in APN (e.g. for 3 mobile is three.co.uk).

I have just installed MIUI ICS 4.0.4 by Marange on my HTC Desire.
Just as previous version, it is not able to find my wireless modem signal.
I have switched between a range of channels (1-14 one by one) and regions over modem console, but problem still remains
I also tested the solution explained by dk_zero-cool , here, but it didn't work as well.
Does anybody know how to solve this issue?
I had a problem similar to yours with Sandvolds Rom. During install I could choose between two DHCP-Clients, with the first one I didn't get a connection to my wlan, the second one worked...

Thanks dude,
But I could fix it temporary by changing the wifi_coumtry_code into 'JP'
instead of default one in secure table inside /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
The bad point is, each time phone restarts, i should set it again.
Is there any way to write a script for that?

1. Go to http://www.htcdev.com
2. Select Unlock Bootloader
3. Click Get Started
4. In the drop down menu select "All other supported model"
5. Follow the instructions in next page and till to the end.
6. Once you unlocked the bootloader your warranty will be void.
7. Now go to http://www.mgyun.com/en/getvroot and download VROOT.
8. Install and follow the instruction. Your phone will be rooted.
I have done this on my own risk and rooted my phone. If you not sure about something please don't try this.

i'm thinking about buying htc desire 600 or 700 dual sim. as far as i know 600 cannot be fully rooted. i suppose it's the same for 700, right?
i need to change imei numbers of the phone, so that i can use it here in turkey without paying high import taxes & registering fees.
if imei cannot be changed for htc, do you have any recommendations for a dual sim fully active phone?

Hi,
My mobile is fully rooted. For IMEI i m not sure whether you can use it in turkey or not. But for sure you can change the IMEI number if it is not working. Unlocking an apple phone is possible means this is also possible. In India it is possible please check it in your region.

I ended up buying Desire 600 from Dubai. I hope I can change its IMEI, otherwise I'll have to pay ridiculous amounts for using it here in Turkey.
viber working only on speakerphone
i got a new HTC desire 700. When i use viber i can hear the caller only on speakerphone.
there is no sound in the earpiece. i have to always switch to speakerphone to hear the call.
anyone else with the problem. can anyone advice for solution.

I just picked up HTC Desire 700 Dual sim phone a few days ago. I am also having same Viber ear phone problem where I cannot hear other party's voice unless I turn on speaker phone. Good to know it is not just me having this issue.

Whether your mobile is showing as connected in Vroot?
Check USB debugging mode is enabled.
Check unknown sources installation is allowed.

Have you followed all the steps as provided? starting from driver installation. If you follow then for sure you are able to root. I have rooted and unrooted 3 times.

I have htc one (M8) and I have problem with wifi at home... when I open app which need internet and i use wifi it will open about 10% of the app (I try with IMDB) and when I put on data mobile it work's perfect(3G or 4G). Second thing.. when I am in local bar everything works normaly over wifi. I have Lolipop 5.01. Please someone help.

If it works on a different WiFi router, but not at your home, its likely an issue with the router. Try:
- Power-cycle the router (you'd be amazed at how many WiFi connection issues this solves)
- Try different encryption type on your WiFi network (WPA versus WPA2) in particular if your router is using WEP, change it since not only is that type obsolete and not very secure, but don't play well with some modern devices
- Some router brands simply don't play well with this phone, so not a lot of choice to fix that aside from a new router (maybe update router firmware?)

Lollipop in general, I don't think so. I haven't seen many reports of WiFi issues.
With that specific router, who knows, its possible.
How did you get to Lollipop?
I have the exact same problem , my router is ZTE , twitter works fine for few refreshes then start showing a connection error message , same with whatsapp , cant download the media , have you found and solution for this ? My M8 is the tawain version modelid: 0P6B11000 , cidnum: HTC__621
Update : Using a different router solved the problem , but i still do not understand why using the ZTE router is not working , i would suggest as my M8x is Asian edition , the radio got some restrictions , so i will try to get my device S-Off and flash the international radio , it might fix the problem.
