I have really stupid question. Do I need install additional drivers on Windows 7 to connect Note 4 to the Computer or drivers from Samsung for Note 3 would be enough? I mean for Odin and ADB?

when I connect my note 2 to my pc via usb. I also have a white note 2 that was connecting without a problem earlier today.
I've tried installing Samsung Kies, installing the Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Phones v1.5.14.0 with no luck. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.
Stupid Samsung Drivers not working. Tried everything!
i just started having this issue out of nowhere as well. WTF? I've tried over and over to install the drivers and nothing is working. This is driving me crazy and I can't seem to fix it. My wife's S3 will no longer connect as well.

Hi all,
I have a problem that i can't work out
I tired connecting my note to any pc but it just doesn't recognize it
I tried windows xp 7 and 8
Desktop and laptop
Tried changing the cables
Tried lots of different drivers and different usb ports 2 and 3
Just Don't know what to do

Check whether you've firs installed Samsung USB Drivers in computer. Install KIES and it'll automatically install the drivers.
Also check the USB Debugging mode is not checked in your phone. It'll be there in Developer Options
adb non detect.
Yeah. I am having similar problem. Pc wont detect my phone even when usb debugging is on or off. Installed all necessary drivers and still wont detect. In fact my note 8.0 having the same problem. It was ok a few days back. Is it the phone or pc that is causing the problem? Note 2 was derooted and 8.0 original fw. Can anyone help?

Try to do everything from the begining. Uninstall all previous drivers that you have installed. Restart your computer. You could download and install Samsung drivers pack only if you don't use Kies (search on Google for the latest pack) or download and install latest Samsung Kies suite and install drivers that come with it. After that connect your phone to the PC using your USB cable. When it starts to search for drivers open that notification and you will see something like >> Skip obtaining drivers from internet<< Then it will automaticaly install drivers from PC (the one that you have installated previously) or it will prompt you to point to the folder where drivers were instalated. I can't remember exactly how it goes but this is the solution that worked for me...And you must click on skip for every single item (on driver list) or it will not be instalated properly...

i just connected now the phone to a brand new windows 7 installation that has no drivers at all
after 2 seconds i get USB DEVICE not recognize and thats it from there i cannot do anything

Install drivers first and than follow all the steps that I have mentioned in the post before...

No, it's useless to reinstall driver, just buy a new usb sync/charge cable, that works for me.

i tried 10 cables
i tried installing new drivers on a fresh windows installation
and connect the device but after 2 seconds i get unknown device and red X and thats it
i just dont understand what else can i do to solve this issue its driving me CRAZY!!!!
I just got my new Galaxy note 2 but when i connect it to my pc (windows 8 32bit) it installed the driver and gave the connection sound but it doesn't show the mass storage. i'm busy with this for 2 hours but still no process.
My galaxy note 2 is running 4.3.

Im having problems trying to transfer files from my pc to my tab. my pc wont recognise the tab as an MTP device, but in the usb setting it is checked to connect as MTP. my cable is fine and the usb on my computer is fine, the pc does "see" the tab because it comes up as a connected camera but refuses to connect as media device. anyone know what i should do ?
In lieu of a better answer: Kies air. It sucks but it works and I am unaware of other alternatives.

Are you using a custom ROM? I read that it has been a problem in some builds but is now fixed, so if you are using a CM11 ROM make sure you update it.

In some cases it helps if you reinstall the Samsung USB Drivers
I have almost same problem:
Samsung galaxy tab 3 lite rooted, supersu installed.
Before root, my pc recognize tab, after root, does not recognize tab.
Uninstall and re-install Kies and USB drivers with no result.
Can someone help me with a suggestion?

Have you checked The USB debugging mode under dev settings?
Hi guys,
as title says what do i need for my samsung laptop with windows 8 to detect my phone in odin,
i already installed the drivers via kies but still its not being detected.
It wont recognize at all, Just go for Windows 7 it's the only solution

If its ur OEM Version of Win8 you can try another pc or try this hope it helps
