[Q] Stock recovery for EE/Orange HTC One m8? - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been looking through the collection of stock backups thread and have yet to find my stock recovery image for my phone. If anyone has it or knows where I can get it, it would be a great help. I am running the stock rom but with the teamwin recovery and I have just become unrooted (in the process of going fully stock) My information:
version-main 2.26.61.1
bootloader cid: ORANG001
version-bootloader: 3.18.0.0000
Thanks for the help!

A nandroid backup is usually made with a custom recovery installed, so the stock recovery is uninstalled and un-backupable. The ROM does not include the recovery.

A backup you mean? Load it onto Google Drive and share the link here, or post it on @Mr. Hofs' collection thread.
There's a lot of people looking for it, apparently.

Dear OP, please have some knowledge while posting any thread to Developer region. You may be the reason for bricking many devices. If you have tested this ROM, at least share the status or procedure to flash the rom instead of sharing a whole thread in a single Link.
BTW, we already have i9500 MIUI V5 thread but it is still in progressive way. Do check and Hope u understand.:good:

Thanks bro, really appreciated!
I indeedclooked for it in the back to stock guide but at the time of writing it wasn’t there yet.
Real life savers there, on a side note, is there a stand alone stock recovery image for HTC 10, European 3.16.401.2?
So I don't have to restore the whole system?
Thanks a bunch.
Stock recovery is included in the first download link
Maybe stupid question, but may I flash such a backup or a ruu for Oreo even if I didn't upgrade my firmware yet? Will the firmware be updated after that or do I have to upgrade it via OTA before?
Thanks for your answers
You can't flash a backup, only to restore it.
Anyway, firmware flashing is required.

Hi, my HTC 10 is rooted, s-on with unlocked bootloader. Currently is running latest Viper Rom. 2.41.401.4, CID T-MOB009 Era . I want to update to oreo. Can I do this just simply installing clean oreo TWRP backup from TWRP recovery?

You are definitely going to need Oreo firmware.
It won't boot without it.
Just restoring a Twrp backup does not update firmware, ever.

Lol please don't share it, it must contain personal data. The stock image is not bigger than 1.8 gig. And you are responding to a post from February, there has been a lot of development since then.
And there is a ruu for this version. And delete your email for online abuse.
This sort of backups are kinda obsolete. The ruu is easier, flash and it's stock.

Sorry to be another necro but my HTC 10 doesn't have an OS anymore and I can't get any RUUs to work as the only ones I've been able to find are NA versions but i have the HTC_001 unlocked version. Do you know if theres an RUU I can flash?

You can't just guess on any ruu file to flash, you always need one with a specific number. Boot to download mode and check the OS line. Once you posted that we can check for your correct ruu.
Htc 001 CID is the wwe version. Those ruu files are available. That's the Oreo ruu

That is the latest Oreo ruu for CID HTC__001
