Looking for office suit..for documents

I have tried a cpl of apps that help you open and edit word docs..but none of then are free...can somebody help me find the stock app.. I think that was the best app for reading and editing any kinda docs..

also if you really want the stock. look back at the app and theme section. they got a thread talking about "polaris". thats the stock app.

If you want the stock Polaris app, you need the PolarisOffice.apk in /system/app and libpolarisoffice.so in /system/lib from a stock ROM. I've uploaded the files here. Once you've downloaded them, use ROOT explorer or ES File Explorer (or any root file explorer) and put the PolarisOffice.apk in /system/app and libpolarisoffice.so in /system/lib (you don't need to "install" the .apk) and then reboot.

I want to know how to add/replace the default launcher in a cooked custom rom??

you can remove tw'xxx'launcher.apk and replace with other launcher.

you can get a lot of laucher option in chobit's rom.

does it work in every custom rom like terma,creed or something?

I'm not sure if all launcher will work. you might try this method.
1. copy the launcher app to system/app
2. set the permission to 777.
3. reboot.
if the launcher work, you'll get a warn message to select the default launcher when press home button. you can delete twlauncher if you want.

woah woah! thats pretty tough for me... wat does that 777 mean??... i know thats related to scripts so should it be like this??

my mistake...the complete filename is 'TouchWiz30Launcher.apk' 777 mean the permission is rwxrwxrwx. you can easily change the permission by root explorer. longpress the file>permission>tick all the option>ok.
btw, what is nvm?

just kidding. as long as the system could read/or write the file is enough. most of system file's permission is rw-r--r--.

guys my coworker sent me this S4 weather widget..i havent tested it yet coz im at work..please report if it is working fine wid our device..(d*mn night shift)
download all three:

Steps:
1. back-up your original weather apks found in your /system/app (in case that it will not work)
2. copy-paste this apks to /system/app

It does not work. Are you sure that your coworker deodexed his ROM before sharing any system app?
If no, then you need to deodex this apps first

[Q] Font Change ??

hey guyzz im makin a new rom nd using cyanoegen mod 9.1 as base however i wanna know wether there is anyway that i can change all the fontrs of the rom and replace them with my own fonts ?? tried renaming my rom to roboto-regular.ttf , droidsans-regular.ttf...etc but aftr all that editing when i run the rom, it shows the bootanimation for 4 hours or so then says that android is upgrading and keeps on upgrading...:'( :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Easiest way is to use jrummies font change app. Once fonts are changed you can delete the app.
Manual way is to rename your chosen fonts to the system font name you are replacing. Then copy paste into system fonts and set permissions as rw r r using a root enabled file manager - esfile manager is recommended.

I'm not sure what apk is the launcher but, by the name, I'd say this:

AFAIK, it's not so easy to put a stock launcher in another phone, it usually refuse to install.
