Well I just received my Smartwatch 3, pics and comparisons inside! GPS My Tracks etc. - Sony Smartwatch 3

COMPARISON PICS ON THIS THREAD WITH THE SMARTWATCH 2. From expansys UK. Cant see anything to do with WiFi etc yet. It seems a lot smaller than the smartwatch 2.
The interface is quite fidly but I guess im not used to it yet. Any questions let me know and ill do my best to answer.

How is the feeling and the quality of the silicone band?

^^ mine has been dispatched from xpansys so good to hear they are arriving already :good:

Build quality is solid. Tue band is very comfy and easy to adjust. The charging port is quite awkward but I suppose its worth it for the waterproof.

Sorry. I should have turned flash off. The screen quality is extremely good

Regarding WiFi. It's not available until Google adds support to it. Check Verizon page for details.

Downloading music takes forever. It transfers via Bluetooth from the phone.

is it possible to use normal wrist bands with it?
is it possible to use normal wrist bands with it? Not the ones that cover the whole watch from sony.. But normal leather wrist bands?

Hmmmmm interesting!

Just a quick update, ive now had this watch on for nearly 24 hours and after heavy use its at 54% battery remaining! this is much better than what i was expecting. This included transferring 100 songs over wireless, heavy "ok google" usage, 4 miles running with the built in step counter, general messing around. love it!!
The Watch took 20 mins to charge from 54% to 100% as well!

That is excelleny

Can you check the notification for new SMS.: I just get a '1 new message' pop-up window. There does not appear to be a way to read the message details. thanks

Yep I checked it, you swipe up to read the message, then you can swipe right to left to read the message thread, then again to reply by voice or prefixed message etc. It doesnt say when the message was received though.
Sent from my SGP521 using Tapatalk

Just some comparison pics of the smartwatch 2 vs 3. Ill be keeping the Smartwatch 2 for best as the metal strap makes it look way better. I hope Sony will sell the rumoured metal strap for smartwatch 3 seperately....I kind of like the Sony logo on the smartwatch 2 as well.

What SMS app are you using - is it hangouts? I can get it to work okay for hangouts but the native Samsung SMS does not display the message details? thanks

So should I buy smart watch 2 or 3 ?

Casio G-Shock GB-6900b now compatible after update

I received the G-Shock Gb-6900b-1b yesterday as an awesome present from my bro in law. It wasn't linking to the phone until I updated to 4.3. Casio says only the iPhone and Galaxy 4 are officially supported, but everything is fully functional as of the update.

Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Congratulations! Could you post some photos and to tell what exactly gives that synchronisation?
It is too expensive for me in any case. I have had a G Shock watch, I have bought it in german Amazon for about 10-20 Euro, it is looking quite the same. It has an awful quality, despite Casio usually don't do a bull****, but one left button "mode" has fallen, so now I can use this watch only with arrows.
But I think for 180 dollars they do much better watch hehehe))
I just don't understand what gives that synch for such price? Has it geolocation or radiation detector?)
P.S. white watches in your link are fancy
Here are some pictures. Keeping it connected is kind if a pain though. Hopefully it improves.
It's pure Bluetooth, allows you to set alarms and find my phone if lost. Not as fancy as the smart watches but much more durable and last a couple years.

Problem with the smart watches is requiring to regularly recharge the battery. In addition to other mobile gadgets now there is a watch to recharge (!)
So how does the battery on the casio manage with bluetooth ?
G-shock is a term Casio has been using for over a couple of decades now.
It's says it will last about two years on its charge before the battery needs replacing. No recharging!
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
so what is the function of the bluetooth?
My guess is that if it's constantly connected to your phone then the knock on effect will be that both devices will be hit by the usage, unless they've found a way to drip feed the BT and retain battery?
Two years on one charge is pretty epic when you consider it connects via BT.
Perhaps a kinetic type watch which replenishes the juice when you move would be a better innovation.
I've got one of these and it works pretty well. You can get alerts for email, sms, facebook, twitter, etc. You can also control the phone from the watch with features such as skip forward/backward on your music player, play/pause, volume up/down etc. The watch even displays track name info and email & SMS sender on the display. The downs are that it's a very large & chunky watch and that's from someone with a large wrist and that the phone's battery is greatly affected by this connection. I carry ZeroLemon spare batteries so to me it's not as big of a deal but to others it may be a deal breaker. Another thing is I had to disable one of the features due to annoyance & something that does need to be addressed by the folks at Casio: Lost connection warning. This is a good idea and in theory is supposed to warn you before you leave your phone somewhere. In practice what it does is annoying alert (tone & vibrate) regularly when your phone is in your pocket next to you and the connection is just dropped. The connection is far less reliable than most bluetooth devices I use and this includes going back several years. Other than that the watch is supposed to last a couple of years on a single battery which the competition couldn't dream of (although old Nokias before smart phones were the same since they had limited features which is a similar comparison) are ultra durable and with a solid price point too. While I hope they add some more features and fixes easily done through app updates the watch itself is pretty solid as expected for a G-Shock.

I couldn't find it in the play store, I was able to find it on my old xperia sp when I search for the G-Shock+ app. And if I try to side load the apk, it says "application not installed"... Could you extract the apk from your phone so I can try it out again?

G-Shock+ alternative: BlueWatcher
Hello everybody,
I'm the founder of the Android Application called "BlueWatcher". BlueWatcher is the alternative to G-Shock+ Android app to control CASIO Bluetooth watches. A lot of users missed functionality in the official app and I decided to release my own app including the functionality that users proposed me. It's evolving quickly!! Now it supports all kind of notifications (facebook, whatsapp, line... all installed apps), time synchronization, musico control...
You can visit http://www.bluewatcher.es to discover more about BlueWatcher and what BlueWatcher can do for you.
It has been tested my many users in the XDA Developers forum and now it has more than a hundred downloads (~4.70 punctuation at Play Store).
I'm here to help you ([email protected]). Feedback is welcome!
See you and hope you enjoy it!
Use the old version of Gshock App
Hey man, just use the old version of the Gshock App. and don't update it. It will work better again, connects automatically.
i'm also thinking on buying gshock with bluetooth, im just wondering if the music controls work with other music players such as spotify?
After Lollipop Update it didn't work
Can't connect on my Sony Xperia Z1 after the Lollipop Update. How about yours?

Anyone else bought the bracelet? Feel free to add me at viddon. My user name is henrique.barbosa
Just saw Vidonn updated their app in playstore. Haven't checked it out yet, would be interested what they changed.
Also, talked to Vidonn guys directly, and apparently they are working on a next get X6 bracelet. Still, X5 is probably one of the cheapest functioning waterproof activity bracelet you can get now.
I've the OnePlus One.. but my smartphone don't see the Vidonn X5
Can you help me ???
Is the vibration strong?
Can it wake you up from your sleep?
I found some bracelets (like MiBand that I have) but the vibration not strong enough and it was only 5 vibrates and that's it
The new Vidonn X6 smart bracelet seems to be available as well. Will you be reviewing this anytime soon as well Vectron? I didn't like the Sony Smartband as it has no screen, and the Sony Smartwatch isn't any good either as I had to charge it almost every day. Was thinking about the Vidonn X5 but as the X6 just came up that might be interesting as well!

Cool, looking forward to it!
Can anyone tell me if you have the pair the braxcelet via the app or just with the Phone itself? I now have a cheaper other bracelet that connects via the app but when i kill the app i also lose connection. If you only use sports tracking it's not a problem but when i kill the app i don't receive notifications on incoming calls etc.

Facer skins by boostr29

Hey there! I'm back to making some watchfaces. I haven't checked in here for a long while. Been busy with other stuff and since they took down the other watchfaces I was kinda bummed, plus my computer died and I couldn't recover my files before it crapped out. So, all my other design files are gone. Great!
I'm going to create a few more of these if anyone's still interested and I'll take some requests. I posted a new one below and linked directly to facer. Not sure if that's fine or not.

Going to need a link. I am curious about the small dial config.
I've attached the zip file. I haven't fixed the left small dial yet.
BTW, the right dial is for 24h hour dial and the two numbers are for dates, left side month and right side day.
If anyone knows how to fix the battery dial please let me know.
Thanks! hope you guys like it.

So I have been playing with the battery dial tonight. Using:

but now I will have to wait until tomorrow to see if it is working correctly. Had to use 280 because 270 would cause facer to lock up and black screen the watch (didn't try any integer between the two yet).

New watch face! Based on the nixie watch.
Not really sure if the battery indicator is working properly. It's the strip of color on the right.
Left hand side would be date. Month, day, year, from top to bottom.
Hour is on top, minutes below.
I'll get to the requests later.
Wow!
No offense to any other face-maker but yours are really nice quality!
I feel as though some of the ones that I really wanted I tried but there's too much going on and it comes out very... pixelated.

Keep it up and thanks for sharing these with us!

Doogee S1 smart watch will be released to call and support 3G network.

Have you heard that Chinese cellphone manufacturer Doogee is able to produce its first wearable device , Doogee S1 smart watch. This smart watch is different with the traditional one , which can complement the fitness features, and it can also track your sports achievement, of course monitor your heart rate. I bought one yesterday, unfortunately it doesn't sync with iPhone waiting to look after a rom! It has a great and easy fully functional android menu, although on every watch face it doesn't show steps n heart rate so you hahave to access them through menu. If you have any other question, do not hesitate to ask me.
In addition to your impressions of the overall build quality of the watch, I'd really like to know if it has the 1900 MHz band as advertised. This is critical to using it as a standalone device in the US. If it has both 850 and 1900, its a game changer in its class.

It doesn't work at all or just message notifications? I've heard this problem many times on chinese smartwatches, iOS just doesn't allow it.
I bought a cheap huawei mobile phone to sync my doogee smart watch but still it doesn't get any notification, it works standalone.. yea it definitely didnt work straight out the box like the earbuds do
I got lucky and mine paired immediately. Even told me how much battery life it had right out of the box which was 10%.
As soon as I turned mine on, I got a pop-up on my ZF3 to pair it. Then when I switched to SPen mode from Fold mode, I got the same pop-up on my Note 20 Ultra
My s pen pro will not connect to fold 3. It does great with tab s7. I am switching to z fold mode and nothing. My fold does not have any settings for pen or air settings anywhere. Any suggestions? Return pen as defective or is it the crappy Samsung software again? Tried the turn on and Off. It flashes blue. NOTHING. Blue tooth does not see it.
There are instructions that come with the pen, and it was ridiculously easy to pair. However, I'm at a loss finding any use for it, so haven't used it since the day it came (it was free with the Samsung credit). What does everyone use it for? (Gestures are useless to me as I won't remember them.)
You seriously can't remember for gestures that are the exact same in each Direction the only probably used to ever you can't be that brainless not trying to be rude come on the only problem I have is whenever I pulled the pin out I have to reconnect it every time for gestures to work and it's not like I can return the item

How is that not trying to be rude? Yes, I would not be able to remember what the gestures are or are for. Not that my medical records are any of your business, but I have a diagnosed memory disability since my teen years (got accommodations for it in high school). Not everyone has the same abilities you do in life.

Even mild dyslexia can play with one at times and is relatively common. I know.
Goodlock has Navstar to make customizable nav buttons... if that helps.

Dyslexia is not a memory problem.

Actually I think it is. Otherwise it be easy to commit the difference of d or b to memory for example. What you described is a classic symptom of dyslexia.

It isn't about forgetting what they look like, but the way the brain sees the letters/words differently from normal brains. It is a neurological problem.
My problem is a memory-based learning disability, as is was diagnosed after testing.

Nicotine probably would help...
Provigil very likely would help.
