Modifying framework png's

I was told that in drawable hdpi i can modify pngs but not 9 pngs! Will changing basic pngs and not 9's conflict or can i just drag all the images except status bar! Help please! Thanks

I want to modify all pngs in framework res apks, drawable htpi's! Are there some that should not be touched or can i just replace them from another apk drawable htpi file? Swap them and overwrite!

Yes you can just pull the images from another evo framework. If you want to add extra images like adding battery percent, you will have to edit some XML files if the framework you are adding them to doesn't originally contain them. As long as you are just replacing files you should be good to go.

Editing .9.png's is easy enough, too...but it does take some extra effort. Do a little searching. There are several good how-to's out there specifically about .9's.

This is where i am at with it!
Can i just swap pngs from one res to another and leave the 9s or do the 9s have to stay with corresponding pngs or are they two seperate enteties! Do the 9s in a res effect the pngs within the file!

If you are just pulling a 9patch file from another rom you don't need to worry about it. You can just copy it straight over.

Pretty much if the filenames correspond from the different roms then your rom will pull it correctly. Draw9 patching isn't too difficult as long as you understand how to patch/recompile them; otherwise, editing them is as simple as photoshop or gimp. Also, certain files will show up as index color in photoshop and I pretty much stay away from those since it's too bothersome to recompile them. An example of mashed up themes would be lowrider's theme that uses components of various themes.

Pink theme?

Is there any themer out there who can make my wife a pink theme?
The kind of thing I'm talking about is like the energy rom where they have changed all the green highlights to be blue. But instead of blue make it pink?
Or even better cam someone teach me how to do this myself?

I doubt anyone has time to teach and themes will take time. The phone has been out less than 5 weeks and source just came a few days ago.

the problem at the moment is m10 tools, the themer need them to customize the skins from htc

theres a girly purple theme you can download by going to Personalize > Skin > click on "Get more" at the top > select Purple passion it has purple/pink colors

It would be cool if there was an application in which you can create and customize you'r skins.I mean,so far there are only 6 or 8 themes avaible on HTC hub,and i doubt that they will make more of them.I mean,when i bought the phone the htc hub was empty.There were no skins,no scenes,no ringtones.Only now,after so many weaks they finaly released some skins and scenes for the HOX.

[Wallpaper] SG3 Collection

Thought I would share this here, I had this over in the GNote (1) & Infuse 4G forums. So here you go, SG3 forums, take what you like...
Here is a collection of wallpapers about 2.5gb worth, they are not size but can be easily done by the users, there are 25 folders with 100-200 per folder. Have fun looking, some folders require a little time to load...
I use the following to help in resizing for my device, all free from GPlay:

Few of the ones I use depending on the rom. I have lots of others as well and will keep going if y'all want. I can also change the colors too, just s matter of adjusting the hue.

Google Now theme

Hi,
I really want a theme that will simply change the settings page and other default applications such as messaging etc backgrounds to the same style background as the new Google play, Google Now, Google Music and google books apps...
Ive tried MIUI's theme but instead of the blue borders and buttons they are orange and changes a lot of icons etc which im not keen on...
ive had a go at editing it but im really new to theming and can't recompile the files
does anyone know if there is anything currently out there or know how to create one?

Hmm, maybe you can try out SF launcher? I'm using it and it's quite smooth. Seems to me like it fits what you want.

Gives me many information as widgets styled like google now

He's talking about a cm theme so wallpapers and sf launcher isn't what he's looking for.
