Amen! Mine should arrive next week!

That is one ugly case and does not look comfortable to hold at all.

I had one for the note 3. It really wasn't that bad.

If only they didn't have a stand, I would totally get it. I want a fully rugged case that doesn't feel tacky and about to fall apart like the TUDIA Dual.

Fugly case, it's a shame spigen refused to step up and produce a case.

Seriously.. I'm mad at them.
Or their ultra crystal screen protector. I love those.

Ugly or not I'm looking for more protection and I have one of these on the way. I'll take some good pics for you guys when it comes. I got the red version.
Update: case came this morning. It's not as ugly as I thought, but it is a tad thick where the kickstand is. Good protection.. Better than my Ringke fusion and Tudia. I'm at work right now but will get some pics taken and posted later.

I agree. Who cares what it looks like: function > form. Let me know how it works out I may purchase one also.
Thanks

Ok here's the pics. I'm not happy with them but hopefully they will be good enough for you guys. I took them at work in a real hurry before my boss could appear and say "wtf are you doing?"
A few quick notes about the case:
-Good protection, higher edges around screen than my other cases.
-Power button feels pretty good but volume buttons are stiff and a bit mushy.
-Holes for the phone ports are of ample size.
-Case feels ok in my pocket but the thickness of the kickstand area IS noticeable even though I always have the screen side against my thigh.
-The kickstand is actually my first on any phone or tablet. It "locks" in the closed position with a snap. When trying to pull it out, it feels like it will break before it "snaps free" and folds out. Maybe it will, maybe it wont... I didn't buy the case for the kickstand anyway so I'm not worried about it.

Can you take a pic of the phone out of the case next to the case from the side, id like to see how thick it is compared to the phone.

Just ordered the white version, will come on standard shipping for around 7 days, no biggie while I wait for my TUDIA to arrive.

I had one of these on the RAZR i.
Not bad cases, can pop the rubber bit off and use just the hard shell.

I don‘t think that manufacturers like spigen or otterbox will ever make cases for the opo they support devices that have more buyers like samsung or apple, anyway the most protective cases for opo are jkase diablo, diztronic ultra and tudia slimfit which do you prefer?

that has got to be the best backhanded compliment i have ever heard. "wasn't that bad" I mean that is awesome. It's like saying, "well, the amputation went pretty well. He won't miss the limb at all."
I say this NOT sarcastically at all. I almost spit out what I was drinking because I was laughing so hard when I read this.

SEIDIO Active Case Review w Pics

This is my review of my new Seidio Active Case. I own a Ballistic, D3O and now this. It is not bulky & does add much thickness. It is 2 pieces, similar to Ballistic - inside silicone and hard plastic shell. The silicone is smooth similar to the D3O but unlike Ballistic. It isn't the same material as D3O so it does pick up some lint but easily wipes off. It has a kickstand that seems pretty durable. The smooth silicone is easy to slide in & out of pants pockets (doesn't get hung up). It does not make screen protectors bubble - if you see the bubbling at the bottom it is from my D3O case use and wont go away...
Overall, this will be my daily case. I am very happy with it and it looks slick! I will be happy to answer any questions. Added pics below....
Thanks for the review, really like that back stand.
I just picked up this case and already love it. It really isn't any more noticeably bulky than the TPO or Insignia case I used before, yet my phone feels more protected and fits like a glove, unlike the other two that weren't quite as form fitting as I would like. The kickstand is just an awesome bonus.
So far, definitely the best case I've used for this phone.
Same case, same opinion here. Awesome, not too bulky. I'd prefer naked, but I run a Distribution Warehouse, and use my phone at work. Taking falls into concrete is bad for phones.
Any good deals on this case?
I have the blue one, it really is a nice case and pretty sturdy.

I purchased mine off of ebay. It was $25 with shipping included. Would give you the link but it looks like they sold out. Only had 5 available...
Blue Seidio
Great review. I bought the Seidio Active case after my black and white D30 developed cracks for no apparent reason (it had never been dropped) Luckily TMO let me return it.
I bought the Seidio Active Combo (Blue) with holster of Amazon for 40.00 Shipped. I like the case because it is easy to remove so you can swap batteries. A little thicker than the D30 but not as thick as many other cases. Buttons and port openings line up perfectly. It does attract a little dust or pocket lint. Some early reviews spoke of an echo with the speakerphone. It did not do that on mine.
The Sapphire Blue is a metallic type color that seems to change a bit under different kinds of light. The pics I've seen did not do justice to the blue finish. I just want to find a paint like this for my scooter.

Love the case and like you said it looks slick. Just have one question. from pictures I have seen the kickstand looks as though it protrudes from the back of the phone. Does this cause the phone to not sit flat when you set it on it's back? Do you get a rocking affect if you were to try to type with the phone flat on it's back?

It does cause a slight slant but the rocking effect is minimal and only when you are pressing the very bottom of the screen. To be honest, I never even realized this until testing for you... If I press the screen anywhere above the bottom 1/4 of the phone there is no rocking. Hope this helps!
That is awesome to know. Honestly that was my only reservation about getting this case. I love the look of it and doesn't seem to add much bulk to the case. Thanks for following up on this, now I can order one!

Happy to help. This is by far my fav out of d3o, ballistic and this one. It is a great fit and the stand closes firmly to the case. The stand is awesome! I'm sure you will love it. Post what you think when you get it.
Going to order later on tonight so I will definitely let you know! Thanks again....
this is by far the best t989 case available, however would be nice if they would make the surface case for the t989 version. its a solid hard case that adds very lil bulk and more protection, its also very easy to remove. i had it for my sensation and would love it for this one. but seidio seemed to leave the t989 out on it bc its available on all other sg2 models except ours.
My damn kickstand always made a very noticeable click when I would use it but today it broke off. Sent email to Seidio waiting to here back from them. If they can send me a new kickstand I think I can fix it.
The weak link on a great case.

I just ordered the blue case with holster last week, still waiting for it to arrive in the mail as well.
In the pictures the kickstand works very well when the phone is sideways (landscape). Are you able to use the kickstand and have the phone stand upright?

I heard from Seidio they can't just send me a new kickstand the only recourse is a complete exchange. Had to return to Amazon. For that kind of money they should be higher quality. Time to start over. I'm not sure what case to get. Any opinions would be appreciated

Video Review: Casemate TOUGH case for the Galaxy Note

Hello all,
I have bought a Casemate tough case and received it today and made a quick video on youtube about how it looks and feels on my channel.
In summary it is a fantastic case and the only drawback is the fact that it hand't been released earlier.

How thick does it make the device now?
It's not actually that bad to be honest. It gives it a "nice and comfortable" feel

How about when you put it in your pocket? is it still comfortable in there? I use TPU cases right now, and they're fairly slim as they are. But I never feel comfortable with them if I were to drop my device. They're just good for scratches, not for falls (which never happens, but I'm sure it will happen sooner or later).

It fits into my pocket alright a nice fit without making it look like i am "excited" . I am 6'2" however so my pockets might be slightly bigger. With this I literally have no worries about it dropping. I probably don't even need the screen protector on the device.
If you look on my youtube channel there is another case review up from casemate too and the phone does seem just as secure without the added bulk.

Depends how big...a slight raise and you might just get away with it but an extended battery like a 4500mAh then no...This case is designed exactly for the normal battery with a tiny tiny bit of room if any

I see what you mean but I don't mind it as the phone is big already.
I just love the case because it is soooo comfortable to hold. I had it on my GS2 and I couldn't wait until casemate released it.
It would be worth trying it if you get the chance you won't regret it

Sure mate, might buy it later i guess...
Its always good to have choices..
I have a TPU gel S-Line wave case on my Note right now.
I intend to buy the Case Mate Tough, but there are some things I want to ask you about.
How does it feel when you press the power / volume buttons? I mean... do you feel it, or it's like... erm... dang. The feedback, is it good or bad?
Also, how "slippery" is it on the top/bottom edges (where the polycarbonate shell isn't holding it as tight as on the sides)? Bad enough to "slip" off a bit when you take it out of a tight pocket, or even when you drop it...?
---------- Post added at 11:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 PM ----------
Oh and one more thing (not likely to be the last )... Did you get a screen protector inside the package? The store where I'm about to buy it from claims there is one in the package, although they don't mention whether it's made by Case-Mate (do they actually do screen protectos?) or some other firm, or if it's clear or matte or whatever...
The feeling is really good I loved it. The button feedback is great. I buy tough cases for all my phones as I love how they feel. The buttons are easy to press and the phone stays clean without any dirt getting in between the phone and the case.
With regards to screen protector, no there wasn't one and I am not aware that casmate do do any screen protectors. I usually go for zagg ones as I like them the most.

Thank you for the answer!
Then the store that is selling the case probably includes a crappy screen protector in themselves . Or CaseMate started to add this recently... who knows.
I'll buy it on wednesday. Hope I don't get one that has askew cut-outs and such, haha .
My case arrived just today!
It had a screen protector in the package... which was probably added by the shop, since the package was not sealed anymore and... oh well...
The screen protector was probably good, at least as good as those cheap ones you can get for a dollar a piece, but I f**ked up at installing it. I was planning to go down to a shop and buy a 3M Vikuiti screen protector (the vendor installed it, perfectly), anyway.
-----
The case is... well, it's bulky! It's really good, but installing it is a bit... well, it's hard. I did some drop tests with it, and the buttons were slightly off, also the lip... required some extensive pulling-with-teeth .
I'm dissapointed by the fact that they didn't add a few extra stripes of ABS on the top and bottom.... without those, those two sides are flimsy and easy to get off, you know... Anyway.
Also, the hard shell doesn't perfectly fit over the silicone glove, at least on the top side... but it's good enough.
For this kind of price, I was expecting utmost perfection, but it's good . To be honest, the S-Line wave TPU case I had before felt better in hand - also had better grip. Or perhaps I just need some time to adjust to this new case...
Also, hate how the silicone is a dust magnet.
-----
Anyway, this case is overall good. Definetly protects the phone well .
I used the case-mate tough case back when I had my Galaxy S and loved it! It offered outstanding protection from bumps and knocks so I purchased the case again for my Note. Used it for a few months but have since moved to the Mercury case. What made me change was the difficulty I had taking the phone out of my pockets. The textured surface of the case is nice to hold and feels good but it's too clingy to clothing, magnified by the size of the case's surface area ( probably why I never had the same problem with my Galaxy S). Still use it every now and again though.

Black Bumper for S3 (HQ pics) Recommend!!

Let me start this review just by saying that i love bumper cases. I
have been looking over the internet to find the best bumper case for
our Galaxy s3. I came across this case. Its a STRONG silicone bumper
that completes me in every aspect.
First of all. Its cheap. I think that everyone can try a cheap case
and if they dont like it, they throw it to their dog. (hehehe) Guys,
seriously. this is the best bumper case i have seen over the internet.
Why? It has a nice touch when you are holding your
phone. VERY nice touch. You will want to just hold your phone because
it has a nice feel Second of all: PROTECTION. And i mean it. Front,
back and sides are fully protected.
Front side (screen): the case has a slight bump on the edges so if the
phone drops the floor, its still protected (floor not the road hehe).
Back: Again, the case has a bump on the edges. So if your phone drops
on the back, protected!!! if you want to lay down your phone on a
table: PROTECTED.
Sides: Full protection, which is obvious why: its the case hehe.
Buttons: FULLy accessible button, both power and volume buttons. They
are covered by a soft silicone so there are very easy to press
(compare to the other tpu case i have reviewed)
I dont know if there are more colours available. You must check on
sellers ebay site.
Rating: If this case would be rated its a rock solid 5/5. Believe me
on this. It defenently worths every peny guys. I even compare it with
a TPU bumper case, that i have reviewed last week, amd this is by far
better.
Enjoy the pictures. I tried to take as many as possible.
I will review more bumper cases in the near future so stay tuned.
You can buy this on this link:

if you find this review helpful, hit thanks
Nice review! Around the volume rocker it might need a little work but I've already ordered one of these.. 4$ shipped to Canada and it looks decent.
Thanks for the review!

Do you guys mean the material of the case degraded? This is all one-piece right? I was JUST shopping for my first bumper case and saw some aluminum ones that snap or screw together, but it seemed like the TPU ones are just a single piece of material and wrap around the edges.
Its a single piece mate. Plus you dont lose any signal plus its a snap in snap out plus its veryyy cheap
How does this fit with a zag shield?
Galaxy S3 Paranoid ROM.
I think that with the zagg shield you will be ok. The case has already a tight fit so its better not to use extra protection underneeth. I dont think you need zagf shield for the back cover because its already protected from the case.

If it is anything like the one for the Galaxy Nexus (and it appears to be the same), there is a hard plastic material used on the rear portions of the bumper, while the piece which surrounds the screen is flexible rubber. With the GN, the two materials separated.

Thanks for the review, I ended up buying the same one but in white. I'm guessing they come from china because this thing isn't going to arrive for like three weeks haha. Oh well whatever.
My clear diztronic tpu case is starting to turn yellow and blue from my jeans so I really need something else. For three bucks I hope it holds up for a little while.
Do you think the the bezel or screen would get damaged if I dropped it from pocket height and it hit the corner on cement? Just wondering if I should still be extra careful when using this bumper.

Let there be bumpers

Anyone know if there is a chance of getting bumpers made for the One? This phone looks too good to cover up but it would be nice to have minimal protection.

hmm thats certainly a much more attractive option.
is the back just clear plastic though? why is the upper right one larger, there's a microphone there isnt there?
the only things that put me off getting a case is that a) the device gets bigger and b) it no longer fits into docks etc.
Case is completely clear except for the sides. And great the hole on the top right is bigger because if the Mic. As far as adding bulk, the case not as thick as you might think. I've seen these cases on the iPhone and it looks really good. I like the fact that its clear and the look of the phone is retained. Personally I just use a case when I'm not home or at work.

Bumper cases are nice but HTC's own flip case will look classy.

Of course bumper, check the design you'll see it clearly.

dont be so sure about the flip case
first impressions from those who have them are bad - shame really as I am getting one for free and the stand aspect is really nice.
ill be going with my usual very low profile case w/ screen protector combo and then after maybe 6 months take the case off!

The flip case will serve a purpose but I wouldn't have it for everyday use, its basically thick card with microfibre lining.
I've posted a few pics of the HTC Flip case
Check out my post. It's #849 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187323&page=85

It's anything but clear in the photos that I've seen. On most phones bumpers certainly will protect the phone if it's dropped on its back, but most phones don't have anywhere near as much curvature on the back of the case as the One has - a bumper would have to stick out a long way at the edge in order to protect the middle.

Diztronic, hands down.
you might consider Tudia Ultra tough, but it's bulky.
What about flip case? Does anyone have any experience with good brands?
I'm looking for something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/OnePlus-One-Case-Revolution-Manufacturer/dp/B00TL4EUW0
I recommend this case and a tempered glass protector, you just rip out the plastic one in the case

I didn't like that one. I ordered this one: http://m.ebay.com/itm/181532810218?_mwBanner=1
And the screen protector: http://m.ebay.com/itm/271845140819?_mwBanner=1
I got this yesterday in mail (black and white colour). Very happy with the quality and all the ports/mic holes perfectly centered. sturdy feel. I dropped my phone 3 times without the case (luckily not much damage at all.. just minor ding on corner) and then i thought of buying a case before it has spider web screen.

Cruzerlite Bugdroid
I have been using the Cruzerlite Bugdroid TPU case. It has a slim profile while feeling quite sturdy and able to withstand a drop. All my friends who have the OnePlus One have this case. It comes in a very very wide variety of colors, too. The only downside is that it does fade after a while, but it really isn't that bad or too noticeable. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the product. It is easy to find on Amazon.
Hope this helps.

That is a horrible looking case[emoji21] why would you hide the design of your phone with that? Get a Tudia TPU case and you should be fine.... Oh God.

I think that and the Tudia cases are ugly lol. Personally prefer the Diztronic or the Orzly fusion cases

Agreed, Diztronic ftw... dirt cheap but very good, even fast shipping (7 days to the Netherlands, NEVER longer... ordered like 6 different times)

Make sure you get the one I linked to, with the slightly bigger corners, better protection
I've had the Diztronic case for around 7 months now and it's been perfect. Protected when dropped, not too bulky, slight raised lip on screen side to protect screen when placed screen face down.
The only negative I can think of is that it does add a bit of weight to the phone, although I'm sure that is inevitable based on the protection it gives and also the sturdy nature of the material it is made from.

Exactly... you want protection? Then you're gonna feel it
Try a casemate barely there on your phone and see if it protects... makes me wanna cringe immediately
I wouldn't wanna droptest with that on, or any other "lookyoucanhardlyseeandfeelmebecauseIamsothin" case
if you like TOTAL protection i recommend TWO cases TUDIA OMNIX and POETIC. i have the TO and my experience to it is that the covers of the audio and charger ports are not good if you use them for a prolong period of time they dont go back easily i mean there is a small part of the cover that tends to stay open.
FOR POETIC, i saw reviews both Oneplus.net and amazon they say that it is much better than TO it is much thin than the TO and the ports are much better.
Another great feature about the Diztronic is the way it covers the side buttons and gives them a more sturdy feel. I got another case previously and it had cut out for the buttons, but it was a pain trying to press them as the OnePlus One's side buttons are so small.

If anyone is looking to get rid of their OEM orange and yellow cases, I would be willing to buy. Message me if anything.
