Quick review: Love the UI, but it is pretty sluggish... Definitely not a smooth 60fps.

no, just download, and install it. It will replace the current version

No need, it's apk so you can install it like any other app would.

seems working very good on IC 4.2.2

Google promised us last year that we can download offline maps for Google maps,is it the case now with this new version?

Why'd you guys need to push it. I s noticed by market there was an update. I guess some people were getting it later

Don't forget you lose off line maps, if that is important to you don't update!

The ability to save offline maps has been part of maps for quite some time now. Look in settings under offline & cache I believe

Except it doesn't exist in v7.0.0.

If i try vocal search, the app crashes.
Anybody have this issue?

type in "ok maps" and it will preload the displayed area. it dont seem to be able to cache as much as the old version does

are you on 4.2.2? the apk I attached is the 4.2 version. grab the 4.1 version from the androidpolice link

It was available for most regions for awhile, then an update removed it again for tons of regions. I mean wtf man Google? What's the point of showing me the "Download this area" button if you won't let me click it.

Not for most regions in Asia. It was there for awhile then Google removed it with an update.

Is it just me or is performance in the new version quite sluggish? On the plus side, I really like how they finally fully integrated and updated the Navigation UI.

[NEED TESTER] LCPInt App Support Checker

Hello guys, I recently had an idea related to NFC but in order to give my users the best support, i wrote an app that checks for some features of the device and shows an emoction. Unfortunately i can only test this app on the Android Emulator (which is really slooooowwww). I need as many testers as possible to test my app (available on play store, i can upload it wherever you want).
EDIT: I need as many devices as possible for an update. Please comment below!:good:

[Q] Problem with downloading online themes.

Hello guys,
I'm having trouble downloading online themes for the past 3 days...
When I got the phone there were no problems. (The Phone is 9 days old)
I did a factory reset, but that didn't help.
Are anyone of you having the same problem?

It's not only you. I was fine with online themes until about 3 days ago also. I also notice that the main desktop theme page has been out for well over a week. Something is wrong somewhere !!

Checked online themes now. You can sscroll down to access all themes and not just 6 themes like before. Plus seems like there are new themes. Some of themes are dated quite recent. But the website seem to be still in work. Themes ain't loading up yet.

Yes, i've downloaded a lot of themes yesterday, and they are still online on my phone.
I can't say why it works now, it just does...

Hey guys, just a little feedback here: I use this website for downloading my themes. Dont let the chinese language scare you; use google translate (http://zh.ui.vmall.com/theme.php?mod=list&display=1&model=P6&version=EMUI1.6&page=1) From that page you can download zip files that you can put in your phone's theme folder. Then use the theme manager to find em :] easy peasy!

Hmmm weird. I can't get the website loaded nor the theme app . It just loads forever and themes pictures don't show up nor is download working.

I doubt it. The theme app itself runs fine. Plus some random themes sometimes shows its sample views and downloadable. But most not. The themes on the website throughout browser dont load for me even on other devices. So the website itself seems broken atleast for me.

I don't have the watch yet, so I don't know where the card is
I'll try to position it better when I get the watch (I'll be getting one as soon as it comes to Amazon official retailer).
Also I'm trying to make smooth animations now, so I'll either upload this face when I've succeeded or either gave up

I'm going to avoid it in case they patched something. So far it seems you can avoid it by staying off of WiFi.
edit: It started downloading on LTE... I killed Software Update and it keeps respawning.

If you go in to system updates through the settings and check for the update, you have 3 options, No Thanks, Download Later, and Download Now.
If you click No Thanks, the alert goes away. It will even state in the system update app that the last update (on June 30th, 2105) failed.
Download later allows you to choose a time that better suits you.
And of course Download Now, starts the process right now.
Hope this helps.

I didn't get any pop up notifications. I was on WiFi and it just started downloading by itself.

Just downloaded and installed software changed to 11A, so far only thing ive noticed is keyboard is a lot smother so far no missed taps
Also seems to have helped with wifi issue before it was like i was on dial up, couldnt get a page to load but now i can actually use wifi

At least you've been asked..mine just keeps waiting to connect to Wi-Fi..talk about a battery drain.
EDIT: Fixed the issue. If anyone else wondering just go to Settings and click system update and it will give you options

Wow that is very odd...
I didn't have to do anything to be able to Choose "No Thanks".
I operate on a Federal Corporate line I wonder if that has any affect.
If you disable Wifi are you able to click "No Thanks"?
