Heating issue - Micromax Canvas A1

Guys i wanted to know that should i use force 4xMSAA option in the developer options in the settings as when i play heavy duty games such as asphalt 8 it gets heated up in the GPU area near the camera and if i don't the option the graphics get jagged even in the high graphics mode and if u guys know any other alternative pls tell me

Do one thing open backpanel and see if anything is there behind the back panel near the camera. The new version of phone has some heat resistant substance. I buyed 2 phones and the second phone had some thing like that . I would post photo . that means the phone heats and people won't notice heat because of heat resistant substance .... Pic attached . thank if I helped u and visit www.learnhacking.net

If u have older version then this might be the problem . new phones also heat up but the thing is the newer phone does not show as its hidden ... -_- can't help . hope android l fixes this heat
If u r a core gamer ... Remove back panel and add a computer cooling fan on back panel or add liquid cooling on ur GPU ... And use screen cast and open ur phone so all parts get proper air supply. And use it in AC...
Sent from my Micromax AQ4501 using XDA Free mobile app

It does have the think u showed in the photo but it doesn't solve the problem it still gets heated

Can't do anything ... Don't play gamed... Buy a PC or a PSP for that ...

Phone restarts when playing big game

I have got HTC Desire. I downloaded many games, but some of them i cannot play, the phone will restart after playing few minutes. They are big games like NFS Shift, guitar hero. The phone can play smoothly small game like ninja fruit, slide it...Does anyone know what problems i have. My internal storage is 80MB. Is it enough? Give me some advices, please. Thank you in advance!!!
I'd suggest reading this thread;

Its most prob just the cpu getting too hot, its designed to reboot when it detects a large change in state. (eg, temp or voltage ect). Try playing in a really cool room, see if it makes a diffrence

Probably you're in for a warranty claim. It happens with some devices. How do you check CPU temp? I'll assume it is not the same as the battery temp?

The temp is really normal, 36 degree C. I do not know why it happens. Indeed the phone is good, but only playing big game, it restarts. May be i need to send to HTC center for repairing.

[Q] Xperia Arc gets heated up

Dear frnds,
Its been 4 months since i've bought my arc and luved it, i always thought of it as one of the beautiful and gud luking phones , however my arc seems to take this compliment seriously, infact serious to the extent that it is growing hot pretty hot day by day.
I mean i have to get the phone off me so as to save my hands from getting burnt...........................need advice wht am i supposed to do?
PLzzzzzzzzzzzzz help
Are you still using that leather cover, which followed when you bought the arc? Maybe you should try use another?
Is it rooted, unlocked or modified by any kinds?
Do you mind sharing some details of things you have done to your beloved ARC?
ie, Rooted? Bootloader unlocked? Apps? Your usage of date, wifi , games and different apps.
I have previously experienced this but nothing like what you said to be constant.
Nope am not rooted, n yeah am still using the same leather pouch which i got along with my phone and i use apps which are downloaded frm android market like angry birds, airport mania, Gangsta etc
Games make the Arc go pretty hot. Try playing Plants vs Zombies while your charger is plugged in, I think I can cook eggs on my Neo from time to time In any case, it's normal.
Neo V heating
Hi,
I also own a Neo V and my phone also heats up a lot at times. Specially why I am using GPS, during Navigation I sometimes fear my phone will catch fire and so turn the GPS off for a while to let it cool. I also told SE about it, but they say its "Normal" My phone is rooted and I am using a tweeked SE ROM.
No worries, these phones could heat up, if the CPU runs near 100%, so it is normal.
The thinner it gets, the hotter it is
When the phones were fat there was much space for the heat to spread, but on our new and thinn phones, there's no place.
It heats up the cover directly, so it feels hot.
Sent from my iPad 2 using Tapatalk
It's true.
Sometimes I stop watching something or playing because my arc S burns my hand. If you need to do something that demands full processor power while charging, prepare the fire extinguisher.

[Q] Heating Problem

The top portion of my phone gets headed up. I am facing this problem from last one week.
Initially my phone used to stay cool even if I played games for hours. But now the top portion gets heated in just 5-10 mins if I play games.
Is this normal??
How hot it is?
since you said it did not heat up before this it's probably an issue you have to solve.
since the day I started using Samsung phones I never experienced during games.Only when charging
Contact Samsung and see what's their view on this.

The processor is probably located at the upper part of the phone.
After some time playing games my top part is getting a bit warm. My temperature is not that bad, nothing to worry about.
Stuffing a quad core (!) processor into a several mm thin phone will cause heat. Nothing to see here, just doing it's job.
Not experienced heating issue at all, the might be faulty.

If it gets hot without doing anything, only then it can be faulty or else while using it hard is understand able. My s2 used to get hot from top, s3 from bottom and now note 2 from top while playing hd games. Not a concern for me as it gets back to normal very soon

I suppose it depends on the severity of heat and what apps or functions are running. If it's gaming for long periods then perhaps phone may get heated but like I said I haven't experienced this myself.
The only time I've noticed my phone get hot is when it's been in my trouser pocket...but then that's a pretty hot region anyway.
I switched off quick glance about an hour ago. The dim red light of the sensor has turned off now. Played a game for about half an hour with no heating problem.
I think it was the quick glance which was causing the problem. I also removed open s voice via home key.
Can someone please confirm whether quick glance can cause this problem.
36º it's a very usual temperature, it's not dangerous. If you want, you can downclock your CPU for a lower temperature.
are you using the original charger? or original battery?
Yes I am using original battery and charger. Now the temperature stays around 32 C while playing games.

While playing local its only your GPU/CPU that does the work, while online your radios are also working. Almost all parts of the phone are working. So its normal. Also if you are on a long call(~30mins-1hr) your phone may heat up in that case too.

Regarding the heating problem I wanted to ask this, the back gets hot cuz there is no ventilation for the processor of the note 2. Now the question is I got me a back cover silicon from sides rubber on the back does this affect any small ventilation or heat transfer that was happening? I know it does affect cuz I feel a warmth on top but not hot as b4 bcuz of the back cover now. Does this affect or may reduce the performance of processor by time?

The phone has a quad core processor (lol) which is passive cooled. To make your answer and the story very short, you don't need to worry about how hot it gets.
On a side note, I had mine tested from full power till it went off, playing nfs and it got as hot as....imagine pouring hot water in a can to make a tea and let it cool for 5 minutes. You can barely keep it in you hands...well that's how hot my phone went and yes, I play nfs still daily for about 1 month now, still works like a charm.
Passive cooled BGA's (processors) can go much hotter than a normal cooled component. And if it reaches the extreme it should shut down itself, with another words, heat isn't your issue unless you play NFS for 5 hours directly under the australian 50% sun melting the phone

You realize 104 F is not hot... at all.....
1) Laptops and have had electronic components built to withstand up to 100 CELSIUS for years. I'm sure your phone can handle 40.
2) If you can't talk on the phone because a little warmth is too much for your sensitive skin move the **** to Alaska because 104 is not hot by any stretch of the imagination.
3) My phone has no lag.... at all, so I don't know what you're speaking of. I can play NFS:MW for an hour, switch to Eufloria HD for another, then hit up GTA:VC for an hour with absolutely no problems. I can also scroll through the drawer faster than my S3 could respond, so it is much more responsive. Maybe you got a defective unit or you messed it up somewhere rooting or flashing roms or poking around where you shouldn't have... I mean based just by your grammar you're not that smart of a person, so I'd say user error is MUCH more likely.
4) If by the blur you mean the purple when you're in the settings, well yes. You've got me there. That is a minor bug that needs to be addressed, and will. The phone has been out for like 11 days bro, give them a ****ing minute.
5) No, sir, your Note 2 is not faster. Yes, it has a larger screen and slightly better battery life, but faster? No. Run a CPU and GPU benchmark and try to tell me its faster.
Give them some time to work out the kinks in the programming. This is how electronics work, nothing is ever going to be perfect when its being produced by the millions on a short time frame with 6 different versions for different countries with different hardware and 10000 different carriers trying to poke around and make their own adjustments to the software.
TL;DR: Stop crying, you're embarrassing yourself.

hi you
I hate when people say use benchmark look which is faster... man everyday use is what matter, when I'm playing games and my note 2 runs them smooth and my S4 runs them choppy there is an issue I'm sorry there just is. Now for 104 degrees being not too hot, wow really its beyond hot for a phone to hit, don't give me the whole laptop crap this is a phone that people use to make phone calls and the screen and the back just feels way way too hot. Just use the speakerphone what are we Apple "You're holding it wrong" come on guys give me a break a 670$ phone should not have all of this stuff going on. Then you're telling me oh download an app to fix the screen issues -.- , you guys may think this is over the top i don't think so when you buy something so expensive and it works so iffy, don't get me started on Shealth love it but keep restarting your steps all the time ... might as well call it Srestart ..... oh samsung i love you but you're killing me with this phone. I'm getting a replacement on monday I'll let you guys know how that one is hope its 100X better....
No, 104F is not too hot for a phone to hit while charging and being used. You have heat from the battery while charging and heat from the processor while using, add any case you might have put on there trapping the heat and it is still well withing acceptable parameters. In Florida ambient temperature reaches that through most of the summer.
And if this thread continues to be a flame/troll fest it will be closed.

104° F is actually cool for a phone th that's charging and in a call. If the device is lagging out on you just return it if a reset doesn't fix the issue.

I actually had this same issue on a white 16gb s4. Phone was powered off while charging over night. Upon powering it on the internal thermometer also read 104F. I suspect it was much hotter, given I have hot spots on my laptop case that reach that temp as verified by a thermal camera. This felt much hotter, though I didn't have the tools on hand to verify.

Well I'm in Florida so whenever I'm inside it's like a warming pad against the AC. When I'm outside I don't care because it's not getting any hotter than the air already is. Sound logic.
You do realize I was being sarcastic right? Regardless, that's neither here nor there. You can't make a thread and be like "Damn samsung my phone hits 104 F when I'm charging and talking on the phone!!!!111oneone"
That's not hot. Especially for a phone that's charging while doing anything, or using mobile data in any way, or playing games. When it hit's 60-70 celsius start complaining about overheating problems/return it. When your phone hits 100 degrees Celsius start worrying about the internals frying. Anything less than that stop complaining. It's a ****ing quad core computer that fits in your hand and is slimmer than a BIC lighter. Of course it's going to get warm. If you didn't realize that when you bought it you shouldn't be paying 650 bucks for anything because you're too stupid to have 650 bucks to spend.
For the last time, that's not hot at all. This thread is pointless. I'm done with it.
