Help Mounting Remote Samba/CIFS Shares (persistent) - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So basically I'm rooted and Busybox installed trying to use XBMCTORRENT and getting the unmounted shares error
So trying to mount my remote shares using this command while adb shell and su:
mount -o noperm,unc=\\\\192.168.0.21\\putsharenamehere,username=putusernamehere,password=putpasswordhere -t cifs none /mnt/obb/nas
I get this error ermission denied
Also tried a lot of apps like CifsManager and Mount Manager but none of those worked either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

username, not user name
/mnt/obb/nas exist? with which permission?

I must be honest I'm so lazy I was waiting for someone to tell me to test a simpler user and pass so I would go ahead and create another user on my NAS

Considering that /mnt/shell/emulated is a fuse mount of /data/media (and later symlink'd to /storage/emulated), it should have been re-created upon reboot. Of course deleting it would have probably deleted all of the data within /data/media, meaning you should have lost all of your "SDCard" data. So long as the original /data/media structure still existed, the rest will always be recreated on boot within init.tuna.rc.

[Q] Debuggerd.bin asking for root permission?

I've Googled this and not found anything I could understand. debuggerd.bin is asking for root permissions. What is it? Ive never seen it ask on any of my other devices, apparently it's something to do with the Android OS. Why is it asking for root? Should I allow it? I am running MOAR v 1.1.
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
Sent from my SIII
I can't say for sure but I've never seen it before. Definitely suspicious. I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say you don't have supersu pro. Noww is Def a time when full logging would come in handy
I set it to log the debuggerd.bin and rebooted. Now its not using the access. I had JUST rebooted from a permissions fix when it asked for the permission and I posted this. I am at a total loss here.....
Sent from my SIII
If you dont know what it is, dont give permissions. If you find that any app is acting wonky, still dont give permissions and see if uninstalling that app removes that file asking for permissions
Sent from my PG06100
I have since denied it permission. Think I'll post about it in the ROM thread. Maybe someone there can shed some light on what the heck it is or why it would be asking for root.

I know that isn't the sgs2 forum but for information: I used NeatROM Lite LS8 4.1.2 rom, with Dorimanx 7.46 kernel.
More information: Yesterday I installed CrossBreeder (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113150). Inside the zip I see the script "install_debuggerd.sh", but i don't know if this could be the problem.
Thanks and sorry about my english

Yes. They are link2sd commands. Do you have any other lag apps or mods? Seeder? I can confirm it was Crossbreeder for me. I denied and forgot debuggerd.bin and installed the new version of Crossbreeder with the fix and debuggerd.bin has not asked for permissions again. But you are correct that link2sd uses the same command line for what it does. I also use link2sd and have not had this problem with it. Try going to that thread.

Launcher3 to Trebuchet? [Solved]

Hi there,
I was wondering where I can get the original Launcher3 from Cyanogenmod 11? For some reason, the new version for this month remove Launcher3 and replace it with their Trebuchet launcher, with is just horrible as you can't customized rows and columns and so forth.
I see other Launchers, it might be free, but there is a paid function. The Launcher3 does the job, but losing it on the new update kinda sucks...

Adb, very simple (you must have the driver installed). Just activare USB debugging and connect the phone.
Open START.bat and write adb devices to check if your phone is recognized. Then, adb install Launcher3.apk and that's it. (it will install in /data not in /system).. few more commands if you want as system app.
Hi there,
I managed to get it to work, but it keeps posted "[INSTALL_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS]". That didn't work...

Maybe.. First try to completly uninstall it from Settings, then open again adb and try to install as system app.
adb root
adb shell mount -o rw,remount /system

If there is any desire for a lower res bootanimation, let me know.
Here are the basic Windows steps to replace the bootanimation per
http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-customize-the-boot-animation-on-a-rooted-fire-tv-or-fire-tv-stick/
adb connect 192.168.xx.xxx (your ip)
adb push c:\'directory'\bootanimation.zip /sdcard/
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /system
rm -f /system/media/bootanimation.zip
cd /system/media
cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
chmod 0644 /system/media/bootanimation.zip
exit
exit
reboot FireTV
If you don't see an animation during boot up, the bootanimation file is not supported.

Thanks bro .
Used to work before but with newest firmware it seems something has changed. Did anyone got theese working again on stick 4k yet?
Okay i got it working again.
For anyone else:
If you have some magisk modules active check the file in the directory:
/data/adb/modules/"your module"/system/media/bootanimation.zip
and
/system/media/bootanimation.zip
you need to replace both zip-files in order to get the custom boot animation to work again.
If you often update and test your new bootanimation.zip then you may want to check my update script. Will be improving it from time to time to get a more fluid and fast way to update.

@SubwayChamp Thanks a lot! I could relock my Mi 9 SE again and now GooglePAY and Netflix work again.
Here's what helped me with Google Pay. Run it as root. You need to install Sqlite client in Magisk modules.
Code:
am force-stop /data/data/com.google.android.apps.walletnfcrel
chmod 777 /data/data/com.google.android.gms/databases/dg.db
sqlite3 /data/data/com.google.android.gms/databases/dg.db "update main set c='0' where a like '%attest%';"
sqlite3 /data/data/com.google.android.gms/databases/dg.db "update main set c='0' where a like '%attest%';"
chmod 444 /data/data/com.google.android.gms/databases/dg.db
Netflix works after installing Magisk module liboemcryptodisabler.
Have you paid with it?
Yes, about 10 times already

I at least was now able to activate my paypal account on GPay. At least this step already worked for me. I was only confused that when booting the phone, below the Xiaomi Logo theres still "unlocked" written.
Although I was able to link Paypal with gpay after this method, I was not able pay. It says that it can't idetify the card
