[Q] Steps not counted when using MyTracks? - Sony Smartwatch 3

Just wanted to see if anyone else has seen that their steps are not being counted as expected.
Did a 5mi run with myTracks (without phone) and all logged successfully so was surprised to see at EOD that my step counter said I was only 20% to my goal when the run should have maxed it out.
Anyone seen anything like this? I assume you don't need the phone to be near to count steps, or maybe you get tracks or steps but not both

I see this too, it ignores these steps and google fit does not see them as running steps

I tried something new today. I muted the myTracks app after starting it then after my run checked (while still untethered from phone) and my steps said 10k, but then after being back within distance of my phone I checked again and it fell back to <4k. Current guess is that the fit app on my phone is overwriting the watch. Going to try uninstalling phone app and see what happens tomorrow

[Q] Watch-ESPN stopped working

I tried to change the provider in WatchESPN and how I can never get it to go past the first screen. The waiting circle goes around and around and in the end comes back with an error about the network, even though I now that is not the issue as everything else works perfectly. I think it has something to do with me changing the provider. I have tried to remove and re-install but it still does not work. Is there a way to ensure that it has been completely removed and try again as maybe some rogue configuration is being left behind.

Have you figured this out?
Anyone else having issues with this? Mine just stopped working. Uninstalled a bunch of apps/rooted apps but still keep getting error when attempting to play video or stream.

I finally got it to work for those with similar problems for the future. I had to go into the file system and delete WatchEspn folder. The Amazon app is still terribly slow and buggy. I sideloaded the Android WatchEspn apk which is much better in performance. Only setback with the Android version is that you need a mouse/tablet to control the app.
Is there any way to mimic the 10 seconds forward and reverse (or any length of customized time) while playing replay events in WatchESPN? Something like the forward and reverse buttons on FTV remote that does the job for Amazon movies/tv? Something where one single click goes forward/reverse a set amount of seconds, while keeping the button pressed gives you the option to scroll through at varying speeds.....

Step Count no longer working

I've had the watch since Friday. On Friday & Saturday, it properly tracked steps. As of today, no more steps on both the watch and the Google Fit app on the phone. Anyone else experienced something like this?
I'm getting the same thing and its not getting my heart rate either. although the moto heart activity is working fine...
Not getting heart rate but getting steps through Fit. Are you guys using Google Fit?
Edit: I see you are using FIT OP, have you tried to use the Moto app to see if it counts steps?
IT WORKS! Ok. I had to blow away the cache and then uninstall Android Wear, Google Fit, reset the wear, go through the sequence a couple times. Now it's working.
VERY strange. Hopefully I don't have to do that often.
I had the same issue for one day, but it started working again after a soft reset on both the phone and the watch.
I have this problem too, but I don't use the pedometer anyway. Good to know that nothing hardware id broken and there are ways to fix it

Fitbit app problems

I don't know how many of you use it, but I really the fact that I use my phone to count my steps.
But my phone stopped counting steps in background. I know it's not the hardware failure, because it counts it when app and screen is on. But when I close it, it stops counting, it even resets steps to 0 when I run it again.
I've reinstalled the app, cleared cache, everything, but it still doesn't work the way it should. Anyone had simmilar issue?
Anyone?
I have started seeing this too, it started on the 10th June when it recorded 18 steps, and now 0 every day since. Did you ever get it sorted?
I had the same issue with no steps from June 9 to 13. However, now it shows them. Maybe it was just a temporary display problem.

Problems with counting steps

I'm experiencing problems with counting steps on my SWR50:
- When I walk very fast it seems to miss steps. The other day I walked 10 km and it had recorded about 6000 steps while it should be well over 10k steps.
- Today I was walking over 4 km and near the end of the walk the steps shown was over 5000. But when I was back I noticed that the stepcount was on little over 2900. Sometime later it was on around 4300 although I had been sitting. This is on Classic Watchface. But if I look at the Bubbles watchface it shows 6.8k steps.
- When I look in Google Fit is says also around 4300 steps while Lifelog says 6200 steps.
Has anyone noticed the same? Is there a way to get a uniform reading?
And especially how can I make it record my steps properly when I walk fast?
I had similar issues but I eventually gave up. My primary use was for fitness tracking and it was just too inconsistent. I've put my smartwatch up for sale and bought a Fitbit blaze. The notifications are read only but I never really used voice commands and always had issues with gps so it felt like an easy trade off.
My SWR50 stopped recording steps at all in recent few weeks. I think it had to do with some Google S/W update that was pushed without any input on my part. (Gplay services framework or Google App or something)
I eventually got tired of it registering nothing, so I un-paired it and re-paired it with my phone. Shortly after that I noticed it had recorded a few steps. Yay!
The next day, it was back to nothing again.
It always shows up in Android Wear and it still alerts on phone notifications, just doesn't record steps any more.

Stopped Counting Steps after 2.0 Upgrade

Hello:
Upgraded to 2.0 last week on my Huawei from the Mototoloa G4+ phone, and everything went well. After a few days, the step counter stopped counting in mid day.
I tried rebootting the watch the normal way, went into the hidden menus and rebooted recovery and wipes, etc,, uninstalled AW 2.0, unpaired and disconnected the watch and everything and anything else I have been able to find.
NOTHING.
Help. I am leaving a a trip where I expect to do a lot of walking and the step counter is a psychological boost for me. It is second only to watch faces as the reason for my smartwatch purchase.
I am getting close to purchasing something else, but I really shouldn't have to as I feel it is a software issue and something, anything, somewhere, some box is just not checked off.
I am not technical, so please leave links, detailed instructions. etc.
Thanks so much in advance.
