Same problem
Same problem here guys. Did you find any solution?

Hello guys,
Same problem here, I just did the stupidest thing on earth, wiped system partition using twrp.
Now I'm stuck with a device that only has fastboot and recovery...
And it seems HTC is not in a hurry to post its ROM.
Please tell if you find any link to a stock HTC 820u (single SIM) ROM.
On my side, I'm trying a few ROMs I found on some chinese website, that are advertised as stock ROMs. I'll keep you updated. Download is reeeaaaally slow from chinese servers...

try lolipop?

Solved ! (for me at least)

Thanks, but no thanks, the url you posted is a scam, found under multiple dummy webpages on the internet. I've never found the so-called "tutorial from xda-developers", and the download links send you to a website called "downloadsafe.com", that seems to be a pure pain (surveys, files you have to download, etc....). I could also add that, on the other occurences of this article, the comments are always the same.
It really looks like a dummy webpage, generated in different layouts, designed only to make you click on the download links. Then you do the surveys, and the uploader probably gets money out of it. By the way, apart from the download links, all the other links are inactive. Very suspicious if you ask me. And even if you go through the hassle of doing the surveys, who knows what will be found in these archives ? Based on the website they were posted, probably nothing good.
However, I've managed to put my hands on a TWRP backup from a similar device, and restore my system this way.
I'll happily upload this backup if anyone is still interested (in that case, what is the most efficient way to upload? I'm total noob with this, who would have thought I'd be the one uploading a file on xda lol)

Sure man, upload it to Mega or Dropbox, i'd say that's the most efficient. You could even use Google Drive, but that space is a bit more valuable imo xD
Just sign in, drag&drop files and find a "share" button, simple
PS
oh and if you can't post the link, just put spaces instead of dots ( drive.google.com = drive google com)

I know how you feel brother I did the same thing but I fixed it. :good:
What I did was, my friend has the same phone therefore, I made a TWRP backup and then transferred it to my phone using a micro sd card. It was tricky, but finally managed to solve it :cyclops: Now it is up and running again
If anyone needs some help in getting their phones working Let me know. I will be glad to help. I know how it feels :3
Also, I can upload the TWRP backup as well .
Cheers :good:

[HELP] Wanted to unroot, tried a procedure and many problems. Please help.

Hello guys, so today i decided to unroot my phone and go back to stock because i want to sell it. I started doing theunlockr.com method (http://theunlockr.com/2014/06/08/how-to-unroot-the-htc-one-m8-video/) in the step of flashing stock nandroid backup, i flashed it using TWRP restore utility, then i didnt find any folder in the gallery and there was around 5 out of 16 GB avaialible only, so i did a "fromat data", since it erases everything, i pushed the firmware 4.16.401.10 using ADB into the TWRP folder (it wasnt there so i created a backup and there i found it). Then i restored the nandroid backup, now there are 4.5GB used which i cant find and some folders still dont appear in file manager... and i have wifi issues, it doesnt connect to wifi and neither does mobile data work. I need help as soon as possible. ANy help is MUCH apprecciated. Than you guys. and if there is any other way to completely unroot hope someone would help.
PS, i am planning to flash stock recovery, its just i want to fix the current problemss then i can flash stock recovery and lock the bootloader.
Need more info. Do an adb getvar all, but remember to delete your IMEI and serial number (those are personal data) before you post the output.

The easiest way to go back to stock is to run the appropriate RUU.
Download this RUU onto your PC.
When the download if finished, hook your phone up to your PC and double click on the download.
Follow the prompts.
Super easy.
This will bring you back to stock including your stock recovery. It will also wipe your phone.

Thank you so much for your help, i will try this as soon as the download finishes. Is the normal M8 S-OFF or S-ON? and if it is either one, how do i change it? Because i want to go exactly back as it was in order to sell it.

You are already S-On, and will remain that way.
The only differences from the day you bought it will be that the bootloader is unlocked, and the the stock ROM is the latest Android version (5.0.1 Lollipop instead of 4.4.2 Jellybean), just as it would be if you had remained stock and updated through the OTA updates from HTC and your carrier.

Without S-Off (which costs $25), you can only set it to re-locked status and not locked, so I wouldn't bother.

From your getvar. Hook up to your PC, get into ADB, and enter adb getvar all.
Post the readout here. Edit out your IMEI and serial# from it first. That is private information that you should never post on a public forum.
EDIT: I saw your bootloader readout in the thread you started. There is no RUU available for your device (Vodafone) that I am aware of. Sorry.

Error 155, I guess you'll need to re-lock your bootloader after all.
fastboot oem lock , then run the RUU again.

HTC one m8 stuck on hboot screen with the only option as RUU, help please

I was trying to flash a recovery RUU Zip file using Hasoon2000 all in one Toolkit and it failed. Does anyone know how to fix this?

What version is your phone? Do you have a full RUU to flash? Why did you use a toolkit instead of manual install? What recovery for what version of the phone did you try to install? Can you open a command window and use the command "fastboot getvar all" to give us some details on your phone model? be sure to delete the IMEI/serial before pasting the output here.

Agree with the previous response that we need more info.
Namely, getvar data, so we can see the version (CID, MID) of the phone, current firmware, etc. As well as what RUU file (exact name, source).
Also, any error messages or what wre the exact results of trying to run the RUU?
I also agree that flashing an RUU zip (or just about anything) thru a toolkit is a bad idea. Flashing manually is not any more complicated (at least, not by any significant degree) and a toolkit just constitutes an unnecessary middle man, that I've often seen cause problems in itself. Biggest reason for this, is that the toolkit hasn't been update in over a year (going on 2 years!) and its outdated components cause many issues on even remotely current software/firmware.
I have same problem please someone help me its request

How can it be same problem as OP ? Your problem is installed wrong ROM for your device variant.
You asked where to find your correct firmware and I linked to you to correct section for your device variant
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/htc-one-m8-unable-to-correct-firmware-t3446792
But .. now you installed a GSM RUU on CDMA device... the biggest mistake.
Change back MID to original then install Sprint RUU. If you're lucky enough, Sprint RUU will unbricked your M8.

Your phone is the CDMA version M8, that is a fact. Choosing other carriers has nothing to do with it. Being the CDMA version M8 means it supports CDMA, in addition to some GSM and HSPA bands. Its intended for use in the US with the Sprint network, and will give you limited results elsewhere. Really, its the worst M8 version to buy; and I wouldn't recommend it to any international (non-US Sprint) users.

HTC M8 ONE stuck on HTC logo.

Hey I posted my problem on the other forum, but i figured this one was probably better for my issue.
I recently tried to root my phone with this (cant post links yet) guide, however something must have not worked out because I cant get passed the HTC logo. I can get into the fastboost mode but im not really sure what to do there. I tried the factory reset with TWRP but with no success. Its also in S-ON and i saw that most guides require it to be S-OFF in order to work. Its a European phone.
I dont have any important stuff on it, I just want it to work again.
Can anyone help me?
In other thread you said you have Germany version, now you said it's European version.
Post fastboot getvar all result without serial & imei no, so people can be able to give you correct direction
oh i was assuming europe only had one version, my bad.
Here are the getvar results:

Restore 6.12.111.4 backup. Use TWRP 3.0.2-0, not the one that you're using now (I guess it is 2.7.0.2)
Details on How-To and files : http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860
Oh my god it worked . Thank you so much, I can go catch some sweet ass pokemon again!

You can't link, but you could have described what actions you took, in detail. Otherwise we have no idea what you did, and can only guess.
You probably used an outdated guide (and possibly outdated toolkit), which which mean you used the wrong (old) versions TWRP and old version SuperSU, which results in no boot. For your current configuration, you need to use TWRP 3.0 and SuperSU 2.76.
Also, if you make a TWRP backup before making any mods (such as root) you can easily restore that backup if the mod goes wrong (such as the root not working and causing no boot in this case).

M8QL_UL firmware needed

Hello,
I got this M8s and I factory resetted it. Once I did the reset the phone won't turn on anymore. It only stays in the "ONE" screen. It is detected as MTP when it is in that screen. I can enter Fastboot and Recovery, but no matter how much you wait or how many factory resets you do it keeps staying in the "ONE" screen. Another thing I noticed is that the booting is too slow, it takes around 20 seconds in the first HTC screen, then another 20-30 seconds black screen then the "ONE" screen which stays forever. To turn it off I have to hold Vol+ and Power, and then it will be hard to turn it on again, only the led light turn on when it is connected in the charger. I figured that I should flash it, so I started looking for a firmware for the phone. Here is the getvar info:
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot getvar all
