[Windows Tool] Moto G 2014 XT1063/64/68 Restore to to Stock Android 4.4.4/5.0.2 - G 2014 Android Development

HI FRIENDS!
So I just got my Moto G 2014 (XT1064) a few days ago. Previously I had only Samsung Smartphone and tablets. Well, with Samsung devices running on android, to restore to stock is very easy using a program called "Odin". All you do is open up Odin and select the firmware tar.md5 file and wait about 10 min. Then your on stock. But sadly, Odin is only for Samsung devices. So for anyone like me who wants a one-click restore to stock method, I've got u covered.
Introducing my new "Restore to Stock" tool for Windows! This is tool currently supports XT1063, XT1064, and XT1068. I will be supporting the XT1069 soon!
So how do u restore to stock?
***This will wipe all your data***
Step 1)
Download the "Moto G 2014 Restore to Android 4.4.4" zip from here:
XT1064:

Step 2)
Extract the .zip to a location on your PC/Laptop you can easily access
Step 3)
Plug your Moto G 2014 into your computer
***Make sure all the proper device drivers are installed***
Step 4)

NOTE: I RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS TOOL OUT ON YOUR MOTO G, SO JUST IN CASE IF YOU EVER ARE IN A PROBLEM (BOO-LOOP, CORRUPT PARTITION, ETC.) YOU KNOW HOW TO USE THIS TOOL AND U ARE ASSURED THIS TOOL WORKS!

If you omit the gpt.bin and motoboot.img when you got the bug in my script, should be downgraded successfully without any problems.
I also tell you that the prevalidation of gpt and motoboot are not ornamental, if not let you do downgrade normally (unless that omit), it will be because forcing an earlier version may have consequences in the future, who knows.
Anyway, Lollipop has the same structure KitKat firmware files, so it should not be a problem for the future

I restored to stock fine on my XT1063 but I can't get the stock recovery to work. Getting a dead android with a triangle.

XT1063 Stock recovery
If I use this to downgrade from lollipop with TWRP recovery and unlocked bootloader to kitkat will this give me stock recovery?

Requirements:
Flashtool 0.9.16 by @Androxyde
XZDualRecovery 2.7.124 BETA or newer.
Current rooted FW version: 14.3.A.0.757.
Special features:
SuperSU integrated in system, FULL ROOT!
XZDualRecovery 2.7.132 BETA (CWM & PhilZ Touch & TWRP) pre-installed;
init.d support (read how to enable)
For both locked and unlocked bootloaders!
In the following guide I suggest you use an external SDCard but that's just good practice, you can use your internal storage or even an USB OTG storage device in TWRP if you like to install, that's no problem!... If you are modding and the likes, best is to have an external sdcard, just for safeties sake.
How to update to 14.4.A.0.108:
Files (Find them on the download tab!) :
For C6902: Download C6902_14.4.A.0.108.flashable.zip (1022MB) and C6902_14.4.A.0.108_Stripped.ftf (21MB)
For C6903: Download C6903_14.4.A.0.108.flashable.zip (947MB) and C6903_14.4.A.0.108_Stripped.ftf (21MB)
For C6906: Download C6906_14.4.A.0.108.flashable.zip (970MB) and C6906_14.4.A.0.108_Stripped.ftf (21MB)
For C6943: Download C6943_14.4.A.0.108.flashable.zip (1003MB) and C6943_14.4.A.0.108_Stripped.ftf (21MB)
Save them somewhere you remember;
Put 'C69XX_14.4.A.0.108.flashable.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
Put 'C69XX_14.4.A.0.108_Stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
Create a backup of your phone in TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard' (the internal storage!);
Flash 'C69XX_14.4.A.0.108.flashable.zip' in TWRP (if you notice your phone reboot during the update process, update to the latest XZDualRecovery and try again);
NOTE: do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'C69XX_14.4.A.0.108_Stripped.ftf' using flashtool;
Reboot to system.
The first boot will be slow and after some time at the boot animation you will see Android start optimizing the apps on your phone.
Enjoy! :laugh:
@RHBH has created a deodex package for each of these releases. Check out his thread here.
Need some help?
@shem2409 has made a video guide to aid you in the update process:
Thanks buddy, great work, as always!
Known XZDualRecovery Issues:
Busybox Updater/Installer: If you have XZDualRecovery installed, un-install any Busybox updating app/tool as most if not all of them will install a version of busybox which does not support the lzma compression applets XZDualRecovery depends on. The version installed together with XZDualRecovery is very stable and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it's stability.
How to report errors:
Please, before shouting out "It doesn't work!!1!" or "I lost root!" or even "My phone reboots when remounting /system RW!!" try the following:
Restore any KitKat FTF using any means you are familiar with so you can try again.
Root it using the Easy Root Tool by @zxz0O0 and install XZDualRecovery, or
Install XZDualRecovery using option 3 in the installer menu (installation on unrooted ROM)
Then try to update again using TWRP.
If it still fails something from there on: LOGS!!.
NOTE: The important ones can be found in /cache/recovery and in /sdcard1/XZDualRecovery, pack them up and send them to me or attach them to your bug report.
Thank you

It will probably work when coming from any JB or KitKat version, but I tend to keep it a safe bet on the OP
So where is this firmware based? I mean, the countrry, like FR AE and such? Also, if i already have rooted .108 (4.4.4) on my z1 C6903, can i just flash the zip file in twrp and not the ftf anymore? Also, can i dirty flash it?

You could try to create a backup of your data partition and then do a factory reset from TWRP. This will not mess with your internal storage if you don't want it to.
Then see if it turns on again. Could be something changed in how it gets addressed in the config...

But seeing you have an unlocked bootloader as well... X-Reality should not even work anymore ever since you unlocked it...

woop. I guess I won't update for now!
Is there SdCard read&write issue on this firmware too mate? I meant, do we have to edit permission.xml file again after flashing this? I am currently not able to move apps to sd nor i can use third part backup&restore apps like " GOBACKUP" with 4.4.2 , but with the 532 stock kernel i can do it. Issue is still there on the firmware 14.3.A.0.757 stripped by NUT I need your help man. I used everything on XDA, no hope.

F.A.Q.
All Variants but laking ISAI? Why?
- ISAI made for different market, which use different hardware, it doesnt have same G2 specs like others so NO, it's not supported.
How I know if I have KK bootloader?
- If you're using a stock base LP ROM with a working TWRP then you have KK bootloader already, if not, then you may be using JB bootloader. Simply use AutoRec V2 to have it.
Can I upgrade to this ROM from other LP ROM?
- Yes, but I recommend to flash your latest kdz/tot first, then root, install TWRP (AutoRec V2) and flash the ROM.
Can I dirty flash the ROM?
- You can dirty flash if u're using my previous version, but if anything wrong, a clean flash before reporting is a must.
LS/VS980 fully working?
- Its mainly made for GSM only. If you're using CDMA and wanna try, go for it but dont report any issue here. Btw, LS980 NFC removed till I can get my hands on the device.
I'm stuck at Setup Wizard screen, there's no buttons for back or next?
- It's a minor issue caused by latest Google Service, happen when you cant connect to their server by wifi/data during the init setup. Just rotate the phone and you can skip that step. Sound weird, I know
Can I flash a custom kernel?
- Sure, u can use any custom kernel that support LG stock Lollipop.
Can I use Xposed with this ROM?
- Yes, when you flash the ROM, there's an option in Aroma: "Xposed support" (which will remove your QuickCover feature) then follow Xposed for Lollipop for the installation guide.

Thanks a lot for your work.
Mark, wait for sprint update.
And this ROM for F320 is KK bootloader?
@Cloudyfa - there's been a lot of questions whether the new Android 5.0 ROM for the G2 exposes the Camera2 API. My initial conversations with the people who had the alpha versions of this update is that no, camera2 API is not enabled. Since I dont have this device, I cannot check - can you clarify if the camera2 API is working ?
An easy way to do that is to install lcamera - but also need to get debug output
If you want to verify, enable verbose output outlined in the "Debugging" section below, and check the output from logcat. You should see a dump of your device cameras' capabilities like this when L Camera is started. Your camera's android.request.availableCapabilities must include 1 (MANUAL_SENSOR), 2 (MANUAL_POST_PROCESSING) and 3 (RAW) for L Camera to work.

Sure. You have to go back to 5.1 (there is no method to root 6.0 without TWRP yet). Just download the KDZ for your specific device (You have H815 EU?) and flash it via LGUP. You'll find how to do it in this thread.
If you're back on 5.1 root it using this method, flash TWRP afterwards (2.8.7.0 - You'll find a lot of threads how to flash TWRP, I personally flashed it with flashfire - very easy).
After TWRP and root installed properly go to this thread and follow the instructions - et voila: Rooted 6.0
At least that's one way that worked very well for me Good luck. Don't hesitate to ask questions, but, in fact, there should be everything you need in the threads I gave you. Cheers
EDIT: If you're on rooted and have TWRP Recovery installed + 6.0 (I personally don't know how to achieve that without doing it my way, then you can also use this article - It's actually the same like the autoprime thread)
maybe with the efortless method? injecting root into a MM rom and flashing it?
If your bootloader is unlocked like you said: Flashing TWRP via fastboot should be no problem (don't forget to enable usb-debugging in developer options). After you booted into it, flash SuperSU 2.52 (currently latest beta) and this is all you need normally. Also you can flash the modified kernel from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/kernel-t3232651, or a more modified kernel (same developer) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/kernel-t3213145
This should root your phone asap.

LG UP
Didn't I mention 2.52 BETA for SuperSU? *scratch* 2.46 is working on LP (5.x.x) but you need 2.52 for MM (6.x.x). Chainfire did this update mainly for it. 2.60 is also out, if you want: Link - Changelog: Link.
idk if you can downgrade from MM.

This one is for real.
We're just finishing up some testing on how to upgrade from a rooted LP stock rom to this Nougat LOS build. First screens should be available within a day or two.
Im waiting but you wrote upgrading from LP so i can't upgrade from MM?

Nope.
Unlocking bootloader + flashing TWRP requires a rooted phone. Thing that cannot achieved under MM (no root available).
You need to downgrade first by flashing a kdz file of LP stock rom (using LG flashtool or LG Up) and root your phone.
Then unlock your bootloader si that your phone can boot up unnoficial things.
Install TWRP
Upgrade to MM by using a TWRP flashable stock rom, on which, this time you can flash supersu under TWRP.
Then, finally, you can flash LOS 14.1.
All the steps above are mandatory the first time you want to flash a custom rom. Then, things should go easier.

Check the LGUp thread on XDA, it's simple and works really well.
The only thing is that you must get a G4c dll to get yoyr device recognized. Please check on Internet to find it. Search for "lg g4c h525n dll lgup".
If not, I'll try to find it back for you, but thatshoyld be easy.

You can go back on LP using lgup.
Which version of the phone do you have, H525n ?
Which firmware version were you using (n10b, n10c, n10f, etc...) ?
