why another cm12 thread ? Many patches are on the way and nanosurfer will release a new build if merged and a phone without mic is not useful

i might fix it later

moved to the android dev section

CWM Not worrking
After Installation my CWM is not working. so i have to boot through CM11 kernel and then have to use CWM

That is the bug for all the lollipop now. I might try to use the 4.4.4 cwm instead of 5.0

Lol, yet another CM12 that has exactly the same not working list. You're trying to do something, kewl, but what's the point if it's the same as every other rom? It's like just mirroring the files, lol.

Also, doesn't this belong to "Xperia Z1 Original Android Development" section?

Yep, @olokos made it clear as hell earlier. Thanks for your work!

Good job and thanks.
Even though I am also a Chinese,I think I'd better ask in English here.
Sorry I just got the phone. And there are quite a few things that I don't understand.
What is the meaning of none require of firmware?
Does that mean I don't need to unlock the bootloader and just flash it in?

Actually you need to unlock the bootloader but it does not matter what is your version of firmware. :highfive:

I am no dev but if the camera is the same in the z1,z2,z3 can't the lollipop blobs be pulled from this repo and used from the z2 or z3?
As far as I can see there are camera blobs for z2 and z3 but the z1 is stuck on 4.4.2 by the looks of it.

I don't work on the rom itself, so I can't/won't fix any rom related bugs (e. g. wrong translations).
I use Graraks kernel and device trees and I modify only the device trees and other needed trees for now.
If you have any questions about rom related things (features or something) search for it first.
I don't mind if people ask if they can't find something immediately, but often a quick search on google or in the forum is much faster, than posts or new threads.

Edit: Works without the kernel. Initial Startup can be a little slow. Works great!!
great to see a new rom here!!!!! just a question...actually i'm using cm12....it is necessary to change my CWM recovery for flash carbon? or it will work my one?
Excellent!
The ROM works like a charm, no problems whatsoever so far. Will report on battery life soon!

I used cwm 6.0.5.1 which is the same one for cm12, so go ahead no worries
My battery life over 12 hours is reporting 0.3% drain per hour. Data, wifi, GPS off and while phone idle. That's some crazy battery life when the phone is asleep.
One of my favorite features of this ROM is if you go to Settings > Performance > scroll over to wakelocks. It will tell you all the details of what's waking up your phone/battery life.
I'd really like to try this but is there anyway to backup the stock kernel so I don't lose it when i flash graraks? Haven't done anything with kernels for awhile, Sorry if this may be the wrong place, I didn't see a Q & A
Ive used flashify to back up my kernel, but im slightly wary of it because it backed up to my dropbox as a file and not a disk image file

What is AOSP?
The Android Open Source Project is the original unmodified version of android. It's the base ROM that all other ROM's work on. There are a few changes from CAF (code aurora forums) and cyanogenmod to get this working for non-nexus devices like ours.
Bug list:
GPS & FM
What is working:
Media (IT IS FIXED) But Youtube can be dead
Audio (IT IS FIXED)
RIL (baseband) (IT IS FIXED)
Touchscreen xD
Image decoding
MTP
Webview
Camera
Sensors
Houdini (stable)
Wi-Fi
Rom features:
The main target of this rom is to provide opportunity to use custom roms for people, who have a screen freezes after bootloader unlock. (My AOSP rom use stock kernel)
First Lollipop AOSP rom
I used proprietary files from WW V3.24.40.87
I used device tree by quanganh2627 for building so this way community will get all fixes
How to flash it:
Step 1:
You should download files for flashing:
IMG file to flash it via drodiboot: (system_20032016.img)
XDA
Stock boot.img (boot_3.24.40.87.img)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=16818
ADB v1.0.32
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-Fin8UxrD6PUmN6SkVPMXR3UTA/view
Step 2:
1) Unpack archive with ADB and put image with rom and kernel there.
3) Then you should reboot your phone in the droidboot mode. (turn off you gadget then press Turn off button and volume + button)
Then go to the ADB folder and hold Shift + Right Mouse button and write this command:
Code:
Code:
fastboot flash system system_20032016.img
fastboot flash boot boot_3.24.40.87.img
Do not forget to wipe cache and data.

Good project thank you @tank0412
So this rom just 5.0 and cant update to 5.1.1 because u want to lock bootloader?
Great work again @tank0412 !
But I have question mark in my mind, which version of these AOSP roms will get stable release?

Nope.
Many users which have a screen freezes asked me to create a rom, where bootloader unlock is not needed.
So i published this rom for them,
Personally i prefer to use 5.1.1.. Moreover i plan to build AOSP 6.0 Marshmallow.
this AOSP is something like training for me.

Read OP more carefully.
The main target of this rom is to provide opportunity to use custom roms for people, who have a screen freezes after bootloader unlock because these Rom use stock kernel.

RIL is a baseband.
Houdini is a virtual machine which is vital for x86 chips.
Rom is very unstable due to it so you can not use me rom for daily driver.
Please fix WiFi and RIL bugs, thank you for work.

Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Im here on the Z1 Forums since 5 years. I dont use the z1 as my daily driver since some years because it was destroyed. But i found some replacement parts on ebay for some €€ and it is so cool, that this phone is still updated. I will check this ROM out. Thanks for the developments and keep up the work! ^^
Ok guys, first *TEST* build is up! It took me longer to build as expected, since I had to tweak my build environment to successfully finish a build cycle due to increased memory usage during build...
thanks for your contribution!i will try it immediately!
My Z1 is 3G version (C6902). I 've successfully installed this rom and modem 4.01. It seems that it works smooth, but mobile network is not available (phone does not sees sim card). while wifi and bluetooth works fine.

Dude calm down, this is in Alpha state so it means it is in early stages of development. Dev is working on all things they can and surely he will deliver a quality ROM at the end. You may stick around with 9.0 meanwhile if it's so important to you.
