retire01022004, Have anymore luck installing TWRP on your 32GB tablet? I have the 32GB [10.5] model as well and am quite anxious to get TWRP installed and working...

TWRP Manager fail; Flashify success
I tried TWRP Manager first. Selected the correct device, recovery image downloaded fine. The install failed.
I got really worried after the failed install, and I was afraid to reboot.
Downloaded Flashify, backed up my current recovery (which Flashify recognized as "stock"), and then flashed TWRP recovery. I would definitely recommend this method to anyone that's already rooted. Flashify even downloaded the correct recovery for me, giving me the option to select any of the TWRP releases. I'm definitely buying the pro version of Flashify.

How to add custom recovery on T705
Hi,
I spent last 4 hours going through various threads, but can't figure out how to add custom recovery for my Galaxy sm T705. Neither TWRP nor ROM manager seems to support this (or maybe I am doing something wrong). Will be grateful if somebody points me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance

If I'm right, twrp recovery for the T700 should work on the T705. I can't be sure but you should ask in the q and a thread and see if anyone with the T705 has twrp.

Thanks.
In Install TWRP section, under device name, Galaxy Tab S 8.4, there are two listings - klimtwifi and klimtwifixx. Been trying to figure out which of the two is applicable to the model Samsung Galaxy Tab S T705. But as u advise will post in the Q&A section

Thanks

Even I will be grateful for such a link. I am running a rooted tab s 8.4 (T 705) and don't have any recovery installed

The T700 twrp should work on T705. Go check out the thread in the development/orignal development section. And do not flash 2.3.1.0 as it brings bootloops

There is no link to the older versions of twrp the only link available is to 2.3.1.0 which is what I am trying to avoid. Does anyone have a link to the old version that works with the T700

I went to the website. Here you go! http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/klimtwifi. Is klim the right one?

Thanks I am pretty sure. it is. I Is Odin the best way to flash this or can we do it using flashify without issue. Do you have a link to how to flash a recovery using Odin?

Odin is more safer. Download the tar on your computer and flash it. Or you can try flashify first to be extra safe. Just download the img and let it do its thing. So use flashify first is my guess

Img= flash with flashify
Tar= Odin flashable.
Two ways to install! So if one fails theres another way.

Cm12 is alpha right now. There alot more issues on it. Best to stay with cm11 as everything works but fingerprint sensor.

So i wanna ask about that encrypion pin in new twrp. Anyone can tell me if the encrypion thing and the pin code is nessesarry? I wanna have new recovery but dont wanna flash the ROM again or make the wipe all things.

hello I'm trying to flash the twrp on my t700 so I did with odin way 3.0.9 downloaded .tar and put it in AP section and flashed. Everything confirmed that it uploaded and flashed as well as on samsung screen. But when I reboot into recovery (power-volup-home) I still see the samsung stock recovery. Am I doing something wrong?
edit: I have managed to install it through their application but applying root first.

How do I update CWM?

I wanted to give CM10 a try, but I kept getting an assert error when I tried flashing it in recovery. I read a bit and it seems I need another CWM version.
I'm currently on stock root, using this guide.
I installed Rom Manager from the market, however when I try installing CWM from the app it doesn't list my device.
Thanks in advance.

My model is SGH-I747M
I downloaded the AT&T CWM recovery from the website, can I just repeat the third step of the guide in my first post, using the img I downloaded?
AT&T cwm recovery is listed in rom manager app.
Rom manager shows ATT Galaxy s3 for me, updated mine from the CWM included in the Root giude through Rom Manager. It was near the bottom of the list, so maybe take another look?
I checked again just now, no GS3 listed.
I browsed the forum a bit and seems people with Bell don't have their device listed in Rom Manager.
My issue is solved.
Those on Bell don't see their device in Rom Manager, but I found this thread that helped me to flash another recovery.

Can you be more specific? Using punctuation marks could make it a lot more understandable.
Also: Please post it in the questions section of the forum, the development section is for roms and mods.
@gtasmodder, try re-installing CWM from Odin again. Will fix your problem. ALSO post in Q/A forum.
Oh, and it is scared, not sacred.
You need to reflash using ODIN on a windows machine.
Go to this link - it has the instructions on how to flash CWM.
After you have got your phone back up and running you need to update it to the latest version, easiest way is to boot into your ROM, go to Play store and install ROM Manager. Now simply select to update CWM.
Search this forum for Dr.Ketan threads if you need to Root/Install Stock etc.

I was in this position yesterday after a failed DN3 ROM flash.
If you follow these instructions you will be back up and running in no time:...
- Like I mentioned, flash CWM.
- Flash a stock ROM
- Root - either CF or use Dr.Ketan multitool method (search is your friend)
- Install ROM Manager, update CWM to latest
- Install <your chosen ROM> - in my case I am running CM11
Follow the above and you'll be sorted.

I'm not sure if English is you're first language (I sincerely hope not!) so I dont really understand what you have asked there ^
My point is you need to search on this forum.
There are plenty of live threads regarding stock ROM, rooting, flashing with ODIN etc. etc.

GT-N7102 recovery/rom help

hello everyone, i have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note II(GT-N7102 Daul sim) that i got from a friend of
mine. im not sure if its a clone or not but im having hard time putting in a custom recovery. the odin
method will not work nor will it go into odin mode and yes ive tried several different ways and it simply
will not work. ive been at this for about a week now.
so my question(s) at this point is:
1. Is there a flash-able recovery zip file that i can install via stock recovery?
2. Is it safe flash a custom recovery using the skipsoft tool kit via sideloader in the stock recovery(ADB)?
or
3. is it safe to install a custom recovery through the Rom Installer App?
morale of the story here folks is i just want put in a custom english rom but i cant do that without a custom recovery. and if anything i just want Gapps to work on my current rom(for now anayways)
also this probably off topic but i would like to know if theres a way to tell if i have a clone or not
your help and wisdom will be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!!

works good
I downloaded the 2.8.6.2 tar, extracted the recovery.img file, and flashed it via TWRP 2.8.6.1. On reboot, it still shows 2.8.6.1 on the top left. Is it really 2.8.6.2 and only mis-labelled?
Hmm, tried again and didn't notice the first time that it had failed because of this: "E: Size (8726528 bytes) of image '/external/sd/ROMS/recovery.img' is larger than target device '/dev/block/mmcblk0p9' (8388608)

There is no zip. They are tar files which you flash with Odin.
Twrp is custom recovery which gets installed afterwards.

It's not possible because you have a bootloader locked device.
Your best bet is the kingroot threads in the general section.

10.1 Note (2014 Edition - SM-P600) Continuously Reboots - Please HELP

Hello Everyone!
I'm stuck!!! If anyone can help, it is so appreciated!
I attempted to root my subject named device using ODIN following these directions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/development/root-cf-auto-root-t2905495
Everything seems to go as planned until restart.. the tablet continuously reboots, over and over, but fails to load.
I have no clue what to do from here, so this is my only option... ask those who have much more knowledge than me!
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your assistance.
That's called a bootloop. Something went wrong with flashing. What is a subject named device? That autoroot method only works for smp600 that is already running stock 5.1 or 4.4.2 . Boot into downloadmode using the appropriate buttons, then Download stock firmarwe from sammobile.Com and flash via Odin to get back a working device.
Which build are you on? If it is 5.1.1, that method will result in a bootloop if you try to root.
Use this instead

The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Model SM-P600.
Not sure about the build.... but I will most definitely checkout the link you provided - thanks!
Question, can I flash a different rom rather than stock?
Also, I was just able to flash TWRP via ODIN and was able to get TWRP to load on the device. I'm hoping to flash a custom rom from the external SD via TWRP. I don't care which one at this point.. just need to get the tablet functional again and get a backup saved lol.

Here is "how to" instruction by me - post #225 for upgrade to the latest 5.1.1 and root your device. Once done and you want custom rom, just boot into twrp and flash any custom rom that you like. Let me know if you have issue.
