I have purchase F240l from online store but i have serious signal reception issues with this mobile.
1- In outdoor Network reception is around 5-10 dbm less than other mobiles. But the real problem comes when i am in low signal areas. This phone will disconnect all of sudden after -95dbm. while other mobiles are still locked to network.
2- The wifi reception is poor as compared to other phones.
3- The GPS never locks. in GPS test it shows 28 satellites in view as soon as GPS test is started but actually all signals remain at zero and in view satellites also remain to zero.
I want to know if this problem is related to hardware or software.
Also if you guys can suggest some solution to this problem from your experience it will be very helpful.
Note: I have reflashed stock jellybean and kitkat roms by lg flash tool but there is no change in situation.

You should try this Method.
This might solve your problem. You should backup your original build.prop in case things goes wrong, also make a Nandroid backup.
Btw it didn't work for me actually 'cause I had other radio issues with my phone.

I was already on custom build.prop to get rid of the Korean rom problems.
Yesterday i also installed Sphinx 3.0 which is supposed to have better signal strength.
But all of this did not work.
I want to know if other f240l users have same problem because it is not optimized for international use.
Or this problem is specific for my phone.
For hardware issue, i improved the antenna connections with pcb but still no change.

did you or anybody solve this problem? i also have issue with my wifi. it works only when atleast there are 3 bars. on two bars it shows random disconnection and also speed is very poor on two bars. and it never detect one bar unlike other mobiles... also reception is poor then other mobiles.. please help me. i will even consider donating if somebody solve my issue..
p.s. i have f240k on stock kitkat

Many users have the same problem so there's nothing you can do to get better wifi signal.
Ps: my F240L is also has very weak wifi signal.
Any news about this issue? I have F240L with weak WIFI and GSM signal.

I urgently need a solution to fix a reception issue with the GNex,
I have tried multiple radios, ROMs, etc but I am still only getting one bar or no bars when my X10 gets full reception, sometimes I can get the phone to stay with full reception and it never drops, until I turn my internet on, then it disappears completely again. When I dial USSD codes, my reception is full again, until I end the USSD code, then it drops.

I have tried 3 different Networks, all give the same issue.
The phone used to have reception, until the JB upgrade, rolling back to ICS didn't help either
Sounds like a hardware issue
Sounds like an area issue otherwise your bars would not fluctuate. Don't compare the signal on the phone to others, you will never have the exact same results. hardware issues would result in having no signal not weak signal.

it could possibly be just an issue with your settings. try tinkering around with using either 2G, 3G, or 2G/3G signal. I had this same problem with my Galaxy Ace before, and now with my brother's Galaxy S3.
Thanks for the replies everyone, I have sent the phone in to Samsung, the area I am in has reception for all networks, the Nexus randomly loses reception, from what I've read it might be a deep sleep issue, I have been through all the settings, I'm not a noob with droids, anyway, I'm more inclined to believe it's a hardware issue

I did already, I tried the ICS stock ROM, and the JB Stock ROM, both gave the same issue, custom ROMs did the same, radios\basebands did not help, so now I wait for Samsung
I've a completely stock note 2 updated with last official samsung OTA.
Sometimes I've issue with 3g signal, it drop and there is no way to restart it until it start again alone. I've noted that this problem is more avident during wifi-3g change and during calls. During calls often it lost 3g signal (i cant use internet at all) and after a call it restart alone after a standby period.
What I've tried:
check my APN (are OK)
check if other phone with same carrier have 3g signal (yes they have)
check that the sim card is correctly inserted
try to manually stop and restart 3g signal
reboot phone (sometimes this work)
Someone have the same issue or someone could suggest me some solutions?

You can just active and disable Airplane mode instead of rebooting.
For a permanent solution you should flash antoher modem.

I'll try with airplane mode but also shut down and power on, is not always working... about the other solution,can you suggest me where I can find another modem? Or do you mean re-flash the stock one?

Or yes you can flash the whole firmware.
I suggested you to change the modem coz it CAN be a reason of bad 3g connection.

Do u have any app which can manage data connections? If yes, disable them.
If you have activated an energy saving mode so disable it.
At the moment, my carrier gime me a new microSIM for free, I'll update if I've news.
I'm using Juice defender (pay version), I've searched a lot about possible issues but I can't find nothing related to Note 2. I've used Juice defender for more than a year with another device (LG Optimus One) without any problem. Anyway I'll try also to disable this if the new sim will not solve the issue.

When the tower ground antenna where all we connect have so many phones connected at same time this thing happens. If you are connected you have signal (more or less quality, because in this conditions a lot of noise also appears) and when you have connected during some time you are down in the list, then you will be the next to be out. Once you are out your phone request new IP to the tower, and signal appears again...
You are in a crowded place or in a region with less tower antennas than needed....

if you have a cover, or a back cover, try to remove it, and put back the original note 2 cover which is really very thick, I understood why....
I had a black plastic cover, and really poor signal at my house, removed it , and the signal strengh is fine, not optimal, but usable.

I'm using the original samsung back without cover.
Yesterday samsung released a new update for european note 2 that may correct some issues with wifi and signal strengh. Now I'm testing if the problem is solved or not.

Guys, unfortunately i have this same problem. My only option was just use the 3G signal (selecting on network settings). Its been passed 5 months and i still dont know how to fixed. I tried every ******* thing and the problem remains, at least choosing the 3g signal i can use my phone as a phone !!
obs: the problem started after updating to original MM.
I also have this issue, or similar.
Mine occurs when i connect to wifi whilst using 4g. If the 4g signal drops it wont automatically switch down to 3g. I have to do it manually , by changing to 2g/3g in network settings. auto/2g/3g/4g works fine whilst not connected to wifi though.
Mine seemed to start doing this when i first flashed MM or Fulmics.
I have tried flashing old radios, doing a complete unroot factory stock kds flash but nothing has fixed the issue.
Anyone any pointers or an explanation as to what could have possibly happened?

I had the same problem.
I flashed RPM and correct modem.
No signal drop anymore but no LTE.
Flashed modem again and RRom and it works perfect now!
I guess I should flashed the modem twice at the beginning.
i am facing poor network reception issues on my OP5T, OOS 5.0.4 , Rooted with Magisk.
Issue is when i am inside any building , be it any office or home it does not matter. Signal shows 3-4 bars but the voice keep breaking.If i go out in the open it works and no issues at all. This is not a Provider issue, i have Airtel, Idea,Vodafone and Jio sims and all behave the same way.
I have done a Factory reset, deleted all data and did a fresh install of the OS but still the issue persists.
Can some one tell if there is a custom rom that will resolve this issue or if there is any other tweak to increase indoor network reception?
I am based in Hyderabad, india.
Appreciate if experts provide any insight .
I expierence the same even with 4 bars reception is horrible not sure if there is any way to fix this

1. I have a low wifi signal - about 10-12 dbm less then my old lg g3 or lg g5 or galaxy j7 pro - seams it is just an integrated wifi antenna issue and there is no way to fix it
2. When scanning wifi networks I have a very not stable results: even when the signal is excellent about 55-60dbm the ssid is appear and goes all the time occasionally - seams it is a wifi driver bug
Especially I see it when using WIFI analyzer.
Couple of days before I opened thread with Sony support and don't have answer.
I must have the WI-FI card working well !
Someone have the same issues?
Someone have any ideas about fixing the low wifi signal ?
