do you think this kernel will make the Camera finally work?

The camera being broken is on a per app basis, not on a kernel level. For example, stock camera app doesnt work, nor does instagram, but snapchat, open camera, and many other 3rd party camera apps do work. In short, no, this cant possibly fix it. App developers have too.

The stock kernel should have exfat support, so if its not working now it wont work on this. Ill look into that though

Scratch that, I just checked at it was disabled by default. I did ad it back in, tomorrows build will have support for exfat

Anyone getting some decent battery life with this? The last 5.0 alpha I tried I really liked but the battery life was atrocious.
.................you know what? I'm going to try this and flash Liquid myself. I still wanna know what other people have to say about battery life, though, so please reply if you're getting good/bad/whatever kind of battery life.
Oh Lollipop. I can't stay away from you.................for real though can someone PLEASE make the home button wake the phone? Please? Pretty please?

Battery life sucks because of the on going miscellaneous bug. And the home button works on the latest CM 12 unofficial ROM posted on here. It just got updated yesterday.

Yup, battery is a slight issue for me too, although going through the lollipop update commits, I dont see anything that should affect it like it has been. Once my computer is working again I'll try switching to intelliplug and see if that helps.

64GB SD Card works with latest CM12 5.0.1 build. Data still unpredictable with ND8. Haven't tried this kernel yet but I will try the next build.

Sorry for the wait, my computers hdd got corrrupted so Ive been trying to re set it up all day,

I'm getting some nice battery life with this kernel. 49% left since 11pm last night. Then again I had wi-fi off so we'll see how long it lasts with it on.
EDIT: I can't get Open Camera to work at all. If I try to take a picture, it'll do nothing. When I exit out of the program, my brightness is stuck on max, the phone doesn't respond, then reboots. Happens exactly the same way twice, now. Not sure if it's the ROM or the kernel causing it. Anyone else having this issue?

Not getting these problems on the latest LiquidSmooth nightly, might be a problem with CM12

I'm thinking the same. Someone else replied in the CM12 thread having the same issue without this kernel.

[Kernel][5.1.x][TF300/201][GRIMLOCK KERNEL][APR 02 2015]

April 2 2015 - NEW VERSION 5.1! Ready for Lollipop 5.1!!!!!
Quick list of features:
Overclock up to 1.8GHZ
Voltage control
Custom GPU overclock
Dynamic Fsync Control
Interactive and ROW tweaks
I/O and MMC tweaks for better performance
Auto detects whether you are using data2sd, f2fs or EXT4 - meaning you don't need an f2fs version anymore. At boot time the kernel detects your file system and boots based on what YOU have. Also works with data2sd.
Extra governors and I/O Schedulers
Chanegelog
2015-04-02 - Version 5.1
- Updated the Wifi modules to work with CM12 and Omnirom
2014-10-01 - Version 5.0
- Updated to work with Lollipop.
2014-10-01 - Version 4.0
- Fixed the Bluetooth not turning on issue
- Fixed a few of the dock keys not working (such as disabling the touchpad)
- Added Pegasusq Governor
- Added SIO, VR and BFQ I/O Schedulers
- Made BFQ the default
- Created a separate build based on Linaro 4.8.3 Toolchains
2014-09-12 - Version 3.0
- I don't remember now LOL!
Everything should work fine, but this kernel has only been extensively tested on Omnirom and Zombi-Pop.
*NOTE - If you are running this kernel on Katkiss, Version 5.1 likely will not work. You will need 5.0 as 5.0 still uses the wifi modules that katkiss needs.
Also at the end of this post is an app called Performance Profiles. I would suggest anyone who uses this kernel on OMNIROM to install this app, as it will allow you to change the CPU frequency so you aren't always stuck at 1.7GHZ. In CM this feature can be added to the quick settings panel so it is not necessary. It will allow you to toggle between 1GHZ(power save) 1.3GHZ(normal mode) or 1.7GHZ(performance mode). I apologize for the hideous UI, but I'm not a app creater or designer. - NOTE - NOW OBSOLETE
[/HIDE]
A huge thanks to krash1256 and uga_boy for your very kind donations!

Yay! Installing after work tonight.
Installed, looking good.
I have a feeling like core0 is stuck at 1,7GHz on SmartassV2, so I switched back to interactive. Third pic is first half SmartassV2 and second half Interactive.
I hope we can expect NTFS support in the future? Not tomorrow but someday?
Really good work, man! :highfive:
Running well on cm11 for me right now.

My previous post was on Omnirom. Now I flashed CBM and it is working too.
Awesome! A cm11 kernel has been at the top of my "Things I want/need for my tf300t" list, since cm11 Roms started showing up. lol
Thanks so much bro! You rock.

Does someone know the answer at this question: what the ratio between overclock and battery drain? I mean, if I overclock to 1.7Ghz, what %% i will lost on battery? Stock, with a normal use, i'm charging at 2-3 days. Overclock to 1.7, what can I expect of battery life?

No one can answer that accurately, since battery life is solely dependant on individual usage/configuration/added battery savings tweaks or lack thereof/etc...

Dynamic F-Sync
This is a goodie by faux123, so all credits go to him for creating this unique feature !
Many kernels just disable synchronous writes to file to speed up system. While this works neatly, it is also dangerous as processes believe that file writes are actually synced to disk (or mmc media in our case) while this is not yet true ! The gain is a noticeably smoother user experience, but the risk of doing so is to have a corrupted filesystem if the device crashes, user pulls battery, battery fully depletes ... so that the device is turned off unexpectedly. To allow for the benefit, but to minimize the risk, faux123 created dynamic fsync, which while the screen is on, will defer file sync temporarily, but when screen gets turned off, a flush is called to synchronize all outstanding writes keeping your data safe.
SLIMBus OverClocked
This means SLIMbus will use its maximum potential to give the best audio quality for the hardware. Takes advantage of both hardware and the mods from zeroinfinity, also opening the door for more things that were previously limited by this. Researched and experimented by ZeroInfinity and Poondog

Same here. Flashing TW nandroid fixed it and now I'm back on my daily, Slim 4.3 build 2.2 w/LTE. Will try again with future builds of KK.
I actually had to flash TW first then go to the 1/21 build, going from the latest beta back to the 1/21 still broke LTE. It's a shame cause it was running so good.

That was for no data at all...
Technically the purpose of exfat.zip is to be able to access an exfat formatted sdcard. But users have reported getting data including LTE to work. There are many examples of this on Google+.
Just try it.
I have a D2SPR in an area where Sprint has no LTE so can't confirm that it works.

Questions & Answers
Q: How do I set or change the kernel settings?
A: Use an app like Trickster to control the kernel settings.
Q: Why do some developers use an install script to set the kernel features and others use a control app?
A: To each his own. I personally like the flexibility of a control app so I can change settings on the fly and monitor the cpu frequencies/temperature etc. in lieu of changing the script and rebooting each time.
Q: Will you add this feature?
A: Maybe if you provide me with a good reason and research backing up why it's good to add. I like to keep my kernels somewhat clean to maintain optimization on battery and performance without going overboard.
Okay might have to start from scratch. Tried simply to merge in latest changes that bring it up to cm12 and won't boot. So I'll change my tactic tomorrow and will have something soon. FYI - my cm11 version works, just borks data.

Thanks for giving this a shot. I'm looking forward most to fast charge, because although Santod's beta ROM is 99% greatness, it seems to cause the phone to charge glacially slow for some reason. I miss DT2W also but the slow charging is killing me.

OKAY - download links are live. Test it out, let me know what doesn't work. Seems wake gestures aren't working properly...
These are set up to flash in recovery the same way you do a ROM.

I will be more than happy to test!
Quick update...this seems better than the one I just posted. Links are redone.
Now that everything seems to be at least going okay...I will start by fixing the hiccups with the wake gestures and then add things back in. Camera seems messed up, but I had to revert a large commit by CM for camera....that caused bootloops...so I might have to hit @santod040 up for what he has in his build.

Maybe get a hold of the maker of the AGK kernel in the One Android Development thread. I'm running his AOSP kernel right now without issue.
Bootloop on Sprint kernel
Just curious if there was progress on this!! If it has the same features as the aosp 4.4.4 kernal then I'm stoked

Life's a little busy for me at the moment and with santod having released his, I figured progress on this is not crucial. I'm not abandoning it, just lie is taking prescience right now.

Clean Build
Anybody want to try a clean build? I am starting from scratch and my testers are MIA...lol. Just an FYI - nothing added for features, just need to know a base point. Should I test this on my own...yes...but I really don't have the time to flash stuff lately. But working on a build in the background while the wife uses the computer seems to be working out for me lol.

Thanks as always for the work and help Bry
thanks a lot bry !
will flash this tonight and report after playing with it for sometime
Nice! Works perfectly. Just what I was wanting to make my phone perfect.
Thanks guys. I cleaned this version up compared to the 443 version. I wanted a fresh start on this while maintaining the necessary goodies but not going overboard. Most of the additions to this version are under the hood.
Tried it and had problems.
1st boot up stuck at the HTC screen, I had to restart it, then it booted.
BT connected but had no voice, nor audio.
That's as far as I got before restoring.
It did work I just don't have the Free time at this moment to fiddle with the BT.
I have a concern y are u including gov like optimax in ur kernel when our board doesn't support thread migration?
which app would be best to control this kernel ?
i need to change wake gestures and disable logo2menu
thanks.

i must admit its a pretty neat kernel.
phone doesn't heat up much.
the charging time is definitely lower than other kernels I've used so far.
can't comment on battery life now. will use it for a couple of days more and report later.
thank you for your awesome contribution to the m7 community bry.
the battery readings are unstable. 56% since the morning.
i have been playing parking simulator games, using whatsapp, hike and still the battery % wont change. rebooted the phone and the battery was like 47%. rebooted again and it went back to 55%.
Not sure if that's the kernel. I would imagine that the battery drivers would be in the ROM no?

It probably has to do with a battery mod. As there are a few to choose from in nusense, something might not have flashed correctly. I had similar issues on bonestock when I tried flashing my ecliptic battery mod. Because he had a mod in there too show better history stats, the battery mod would hang in percentages....so just my experience and it is probably something similar.

I don't think that is the case since the same thing would be happening with the default kernel.
Been running g the stock clock for days now, before release even and my battery hasn't done that.

I was attributing it to having an abundant amount of options, he may have had a bad install. That is all.

OK folks......This thread will contain TWO kernels. Let me repeat that "TWO KERNELS". One for the S6 Flat,
and one for the S6 Edge. MAKE SURE you download the right kernel for your phone. Or you will have some very
serious issues.
Both of these are built from the same source, just different config files. Both have ALL of the same features, tweaks, etc.
This kernel has alot of tweaks that can be adjusted by YOU. In order to change any of the kernel parameters you need
either 3C Toolbox, OR System Tuner from the Play Store. Also there is Synaspe.
I want to remind the Edge users........I built this for YOU, not me. I have NO USE for a Edge kernel. So it may be a good idea to at
least tell me Thank you for the time I had to spend just for yall. Lack of appreciation will bring Edge development to a halt on my end.
***FEATURES***
EPD1, EPH2 Sources
Synaspe Support
Built with Sabermod 7.0 Toolchain (optimized)
Compiled with Graphite
Linux 3.10.104
Injects Root via SuperSU "systemless"
-A53 UnderClockable To 200Mhz OC to 1704Mhz
-A57 UnderClockable To 200Mhz OC to 2304Mhz
VMA Caching
Sleep/Suspend Patches
22 CPU Governors
11 I/O Schedulers
and a ton of other crap........
SYNASPE
OC/UC
CPU Voltage
GPU Voltage
GPU Overclock
HMP Threshold
Power Aware Scheduling
Live CPU Stats
Input-Booster
Thermal Control
HMP Voltage
I/O Tunables
LMK Profiles
UKSM
Dynamic FSYNC
Dynamic Dirty Page Writeback
Virtual Nand Swap
ZSwap Memory Pool
Kernel Entropy
Gentle Fair Sleepers
Arch Power
Google Play Services Battery Drain Fix
Wakelock Control
Audio Control (ie EQ)
Live Battery Stats
Battery Settings
LED Control
And more........
Keep in mind that this is a work in progress. Which means I will be adding more improvements for
our phones. Your job is to participate in my thread, my job is to give you have kick azz kernel.
Flashing either kernel is pretty easy. Go into recovery and flash.....Do not wipe anything. Modules
are now built into the kernel and not separate like back in the day.

This is pretty disappointing......
I have had countless people ask me to support the G920F on my kernels. I release a version for
yall and not one person has commented on how it works.
Thats cool

Welcome to the G920F, just the competition I could use :crying:
Synapse:
- IO gives "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Default vlaue not contained in given values" error.
- HMP Little packaging: you need to add this commit or remove it from Synapse because it errors.
- Powersuspend: Autosleep and Hybrid aren't available, just returns to Userspace/Displaypanel
- Battery under "battery info" is full of errors where it says "no such file or directory" in your synapse/actions folder.
- Network: TCP Congestion control & Wireless wakelock timeout control has the same error as IO Default value not contained in given values. Also Wifi Power Mode, Wifi Dtim Interval have "Seekbar has failed" error saying there is no such file or directory.
- Security under Selinux Security Policy the same directory error
- Logs same.
- Info under ASV Summary the same
I have Busybox properly installed to system/xbin. All the other stuff worked. Tested it really quickly.

Yeah, I'm aware of those issues. Haven't looked into them just yet. Doesn't affect the kernel performance.

You can easily extract boot.img and install that with TWRP.
@TheSickness i confirm when i use headphones and bluetooth everything is ok but when i put my audio jack and after 20 seconds or less the phone acts like i put it out only happen with your kernel.
I've a problem. BusyBox installs itself to su/xbin path. It doesn't matter how hard I try on each boot, system/xbin/BusyBox gets deleted by something. I have to manually install BusyBox on each boot

Tested on my 925F .. all seems to be running fine: good memory management, no lag and good deep sleep
BUG: no audio on call..
waiting for a G925F official release
Thank You
Congratz on G920F release! I have a question.. Do you plan to add AOD sources in the future to your kernel? ?
I tried this kernel on Alexis ROM 7.1 and it sadly doesn't work! It gets stuck on the Galaxy s6 screen
PS: I have a 920F and it installed the right version
I'll test 920F version if somebody tells how to install without root.

im using this kernel with last alexis rom and all works good, except the boot time is a bit longer than average, but still very good with 86% deep sleep
edit: on my g920f
