[Q] twrp issue and boot problem - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok heres the deal. my daughter got ahold of my kindle. we i dont know what she did but she ran something that much i can tell. i powered it off then back on. when it booted, it booted into twrp and ran a recovey script. this is where it hangs up. so i held the power button down to reboot. when it rebooted it boots back into twrp. but it boot to the main menu. i rebooted the kindle though twrp. this time it boots up normal. after it is booted up it shuts down and reboots into twrp back the the recovery script page in twrp and hangs up. i have tried wiping the cashe and dalvick, then reintalling a back up. but the problem is still there. if some one can help me that would be great. it does charge so i got one good thing going for me. if worst comes to worst, i guess a factory reset and then redoing all the work i have done in the past.

Was just stock?
May have been 6.3.3 update

the update requires a compatible recovery to install, if recovery is not compatible, it will get stuck in recovery.

ok so i tried to mount sdcard. it was a no go. was following your vid. my kindle just isnt responing like it should. its geting stuck on simulating actions. not sure what that means. i guess its time to start from scratch. now to remember how to format the kindle to factory. any ideas. haha. i do have a fast boot cable. i could try that method, but you download isnt working right. the codes dont match in md5.

if backup works, check system version
if is 6.3.2 or less it will just redownload the update and try again

I don't know how, but i wound up on the bootloader screen, and no matter if i power off or reboot, it still brings me there only. Then i selected (tried) HBoot. Now i am stuck there. I am on stock only, never unlocked. On 1.29 (SH25). There are following options shown: Fastboot, Recovery, Factory Reset, Simlock, Show Barcode and Image CRC.
All I want to do is boot the phone into regular stock. What shall i select besides Factory Reset? Kindly Help ASAP.
Many Thanks in advance.

have you tried doing factory reset? i know you will lose stuff but worth trying to see if the phone will work again..well should do..my first thing would be to do factory reset since you tried rebooting.
or go into bootloader and try fastboot reboot (command that is)

what he said basically
use the following commands
"fastboot erase cache"
"fastboot reboot" and see what happens
Oh well, I tried Reboot, Fast Boot as well as Factory Reset. Nothing seems to work . They all restarts the phone and brings back the bootloader screen.
While restarting, right under HTC logo, it momentarily displays: "This build is for development purpose only. Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission. Failure to comply may lead to legal action."
Guess i will have to bring it back to the retailer.
Seems like you have unlocked and relocked the bootloader.
You will need to download the correct imagine file (RUU) for your phone and follow instructions.
Can you find a guide on the internet?
You will probably have to unlock the bootloader again to get some information from your phone in Fastboot mode.

Yup, factory reset is NOT doing anything, just froze on the splash screen. Guess will have to take it up to the shop. Hopefully this time it will be easier (last time i had very difficult time to get replacement for my HOX with wifi hardware fualt).

Phone Stuck in Boot Loop (SDS?)

Hey Guys,
I was playing Boom Beach on my commute this morning (which is slowly taking over my life) and my phone just randomly shut off. This has been happening a decent amount when I had multiple apps running after the latest update. This time however, when it got to the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen it would try to boot up to the ATT screen, fail and then restart.
I've tried pulling the battery, putting the phone in the freezer and, as a last resort, went into recovery mode and cleared out the cache and the deleted all of the user data....no dice. Now it just gets to the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" screen and either loops or just hangs there.
I am under the assumption that I am screwed here and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I might fix it. I think my only shot is to flash a new firmware from the recovery menu...does anyone have any tips on how to do that? Just get me on the right track I guess
Thanks a million!

This seems to have bricked my phone completely. It won't even turn on and can't manage to charge the battery without freezing. Thank you for trying to help me out with this, it was much appreciated! I'm very excited to never buy another Samsung product again and get a phone with this cool thing called build quality. Bye bye cheap plastic, clunky interface and slow performance!

So I thought I had fixed the Kindle..Need some help.

For awhile now I was working on my son's kindle fire 1st gen. Somehow it had gotten stuck at the Kindle Fire logo, just looping. So I did some reading and after working with the drivers forever and trying to get KFU to work, I just couldn't get the unit into fastboot. So I put it away.
Eventually I ordered a factory cable, so last night I sat down with it again and using KFU I did:
3 Install Latest TWRP Recovery
5 Install Latest FireFireFire
So it booted into TWRP, I followed a blog telling me what to reset/clear etc and I finally rebooted back into the original Kindle Fire, working great.
Well now what it's doing while my son is using it, or after he sits it down for awhile is it just reboots itself back into TWRP suddenly or it rebooted and everything is cleared, like all the games he installed etc.
So I'm not sure what to do now, granted none of this is directly in my wheel house so I'm learning as I go but I finally had to breakdown and come to the forums for some help.
Thanks guys!

Went ahead and did the factory reset, did a fresh install of your 6.3.3 file again. So far, staying on. So I'll give it some more time, the real test is when my son comes home later and uses it. Thanks again.
Well it sat and charged for a couple hours and then he sat and played a few of his games on it for the past 45 mins maybe and then it suddenly rebooted to TWRP again and I have to keep telling it to boot into normal. So I'm no sure what else to do.

I've tried all of that I'm afraid as soon as it gets a bit of power the cycle happens and the PC doesn't have time to recognize the device before it reboots, it doesn't respond to the power key or any combination of key pressing, just keeps on in the boot loop. From what I've learned I'm assuming the problem is that 52MB TWRP image, it doesn't work on this phone, the update will be trying to boot the phone into recovery but because the recovery doesn't work it creates a bootloop..so far it's been 48hrs, will try switch it back on on monday as suggested here https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...g-failures-t3596427/post74189767#post74189767 . In the meantime we need to spread the word and shame whoever uploaded that TWRP image, evil!!!

I won't recommend you this but you can try pulling off the back panel and removing the battery cable (its the black one)

Hi, I'm refering to this one "twrp-3.0.3-1_UNOFFICIAL-U Play.img" Not yours.. I flashed twrp-3.0.3-1_UNOFFICIAL-U Play.img and I'm now stuck and panicking, I hope I can have me phone back again .. The device tries to reboot itself into recovery repeatedly after you try a system update, no combination of button pressing etc works, the PC doesn't even have time to pick up the phone..Like I've said in previous posts, I'm trying to see if I leave it off for some days and then recharge and try to switch it back on if it will work..So far that's the only solution I've seen from anyone.. I hope this clears up my problem and suggestions..

i am not sure what problem your having but if you try to press the volume up or down key while booting up you will boot into download mode. or else try pressing volume up and down both while the phone starts
Is there a possibility that comes out a working version.?

Hi, did you have any luck? I'm stuck in the same boot loop.. I even took off the case and removed the black battery cable over night but still same boot loop, did running down battery help?
Hi, don't dismantle it or any of that other stuff suggested above, let it bootloop til the battery is flat, leave it, do not charge it or do anything to it for 11+ days, then charge it and it will switch back on, no problem, you'll have your phone back.
Ok thanks, it's been about 5 days off so far from dying from the boot loop, I'll give it another 10 days before charging it and see how it goes..
Thanks again for your response..
