Tether on kitkat 4.4.2, system version 183.46.15 - Droid RAZR M General

Bought razr m recently, then found this phone is not able to root. (locked bootloader, system version 183.46.15), therefore not able to free tether.
However, I accidentally found the stock Mobile hotspot works! to rule out the possible contribution from any app, I factor reset the phone, it still works.
what i have done to this phone is:
1. gsm unlock
2. using a redpocket (tmobile mvno) 4g (H+) data sim
3. fresh stock rom 4.4.2, 183.46.15.
not sure if this is just me or a surprise from 183.46.15.

the same
I have the same situation - stock Mobile hotspot works on stock rom 4.4.2, 183.46.15 ))))

[Q] AtT NOte 2 unlocked, now using Tmobile, Can't upgrade firmware

MY sister called ATt to unlock her phone when she went abroad, they did. Now she no longer has ATT and is with tmobile. Using the Tmobile sim card, she can't seem to upgrade her OS using the firmware update option in settings. How can she go about upgrading? she currently has android 4.1.2 with the NOte 2?
also if i flash aokp on her phone, but she don't like it, then flash back the original 4.1.2 firmware, would i lose the unlock that ATT did for her and she can't use Tmobile anymore?

Unlock is permanent ok.
Ota updates come from AT&T servers, meaning you'll need to be on AT&T network.
Btw plenty of stock 4.4.2 Roms in the development section you can flash for her.
Aosp is to buggy and isn't official 4.4.2.

And good luck..

M9 Marshmallow (3.35.617.12) - Unable to Get Tmobile Data Internationally

All,
I have an M9 unlocked edition and after the upgrade to marshmallow my international data roaming with Tmobile quite working. I still get all other roaming benefits from Tmobile, but the data just says disconnected.
Everything was working well before the upgrade and it is unclear if there is a new setting I am missing or if this release is incompatible with Tmobiles data roaming.
I have the APNs set as they were before the upgrade, and mobile roaming is checked. Does anyone know what I would try next?
Thanks Fred
Are you full stock, or did you unlock, S-Off, flash a custom ROM? Those are important informations to track down your problem.

It is fully stock and was upgraded from KK to Marshmallow while via an over the air update while my friend was working overseas.
So more information, and I am not out of the country right now, but with roaming selected the mobile data submenu shows that everything is connected an fine, but the setting menu for mobile data says "disconnected". When a SIM is not in the phone the message is "disconnected because services is unavailable"
Trying more things before trying to reflash the software.
Thanks for anyhelp.
All FYI we remedied this situation by using the older tmobile apn settings but it was only necessary for some phones not the newer htc.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers mobile app
So no more issues??

After updating from version 4.3 to 4.4.2, I cannot connect to ANY mobile networks.

It was updated from XXUEMK4 (Indian Leaked Version of Jellybean 4.3, it was installed by my cousin without the use of custom recovery.) to XXUFNI4 (Open line Philippines version of Kitkat 4.4.2, used odin of course)
When I was on download mode, I noticed that KNOXX Void was set to 1 and the binary was custom.
I can connect to any mobile network (sim dependent).
There is no custom recovery, so I think my cousin installed the leaked version using odin.
Until I updated to 4.4.2 (XXUFNI4). It says "Registered on Network" when i manually connect to the networks, but it still shows "Emergency calls only"
- IMEI is still the same
- Any sim does not work
- The phone used to be carrier-locked but my cousin unlocked it (i checked the sim network lock from the guide on "how to check if your phone is network locked").
Please help!

G925T unlocked questions

hello i'm itching to mod my g925t however i'm having second thoughts. Here is my predicament.
I bought my galaxy edge here in the Philippines , used. I was surprised when i look on the phone's setting and said that it is indeed a G925T which is a T-Mobile version, however it is working on my network I.E ( i can make calls, text and data internet). I have a question, When i change, root, my kernel, rom and pretty much any on the software side. Will it lock itself? thanks. Because if it'll lock i'll just deal with it not having the perks of modding it. For reference though , i updated the phone and reset it via SMARTSWITCH and it doesnt lock itself, its just that t-mo apps are still there . I can still call, text and use mobile data.
Samsung G925t edge s6
android version 6.0.1
kernel version 3.10.61-8273934
baseband version G925TUVS4EPH2
I have t mobile and i live in india..
I had same thoughts...
Anyways i went ahead and rooted, installed recovery and even flashed a custom rom many times with clean install. Nothing has happened yet..
I havent flashed stock back even once via odin but i think its safe to say it will remain unlocked
If your 925T is already unlocked, it'll remain unlocked regardless if you root flash a new ROM, I think I've unlocked it remains unlocked. I've had a few unlocked phones and they never got"relocked" after modding them.

N910P Sprint no access to Mobile Data in EU

Dear Readers,
I bought a N910P Sprint Note 4 from China and I believe it came with a custom ROM flashed onto it which allowed me to use Mobile data. However, I did a hard reset on my phone and now I can no longer use mobile data (but I can take calls and SMS). I take it I need to flash a custom ROM to enable Mobile data again? I checked my phone with Root checker and it told me root access is installed on my device.
Currently the phone is on Android Version 5.1.1.
Should I provide more information and what further steps should I take?
Thanks in Advance!
Gyoukugen.
