Is there a stock Lollipop Rom for rooted users - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

No custom roms or anything like that. Just a stock 5.0 for those that want to upgrade without all the other stuff and still remain rooted. Is there one?

Got a Note 8 (I467) for xmas, and while it's nice to play with, I really want a custom rom for it.

If you have AT&T variant then we have nothing, not even 4.2.2 or an unlocked bootloader. It's frustrating, but it is what it is. If you are looking for custom ROMs, look at a wifi only version or a different device.

As far as I can tell, we don't have any custom roms for the AT&T i467. The best we can do is root and a deodexed stock rom.
Root:

Deodexed Stock Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569865
Read everything carefully and don't apply the OTA CAMF2 update if you want to flash the deodexed stock rom.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
I think I'm going to start looking at this. ?

Question about 4.4 update

i AM CURRENTLY RUNNING ANDROID 4.3 Shiny ROM on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus TORO...I was interested in running 4.4 and the newer kitkat versions of the roms but i know it will brick or soft brick my phone if i try to do it without updating...is there something i have to do first? go back to stock update to 4.4.4 and then re root? I am sorta a noob but i know some things about root. I dont do anything without researching first. Any questions or guidelines for me?

Just follow the instructions in the ShinyRom thread here
forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development/rom-6-4-14-shiny-rom-ota-stock-android-t2642375
and you won't have any troubles upgrading your ROM. It's easy and as you already have ShinyRom installed there shouldn't appear any problems!

[Q] Updating firmware after rooting/flashing rom

Bit of a noob question, but before I rooted/flashed custom firmware my stock firmware was 1.54.651.8. At some point I'm going to have to update it, so it works with new roms right? Also, how do I go about updating without loosing my root?
The devs of any rom worth flashing always incorporate the latest stock updates into a new version of their rom.
Most custom roms update monthly. HTC updates... what? Every 6 month?
Just stick with the custom rom you like and rest assured - your not missing out on anything the stock rom may have to offer. But if you feel the need, just RUU back to stock....

I've been having this problems before and that is that no kitkat ROM's camera works in my t999 phone, I was in 4.1.1 bootloader before but upgraded to 4.3 bootloader using Mr Robinson's prerooted firmware but still when I installed any kitkat custom ROM, I still get the cannot connect to camera error. the camera works fine in the stock prerooted firmware. plz I really want to use these kitkat ROMs and also want to camera to be functional. any permanent solution will be appreciated.

I guess am only left with the options of using only stock based t999 ROMs. I'll have to say bye bye to aoksp and cm ROMs.
Check the cm threads and ask there when you get up to 10 posts. A lot of people who might be familiar with it probably dont bother looking at anything but their roms thread.

[Q] Can I install this Rom freely?

Hi, I have a note 2 n7100, I want to install the assassin resurrection custom rom but I'm not sure if I can.
My android version is 4.4.2 , currently on stock rom ( I just finished installing a fresh stock rom from sammmobile) and rooted my phone.
The rom is android version 4.1.2, will it cause any conflict? is there a way to avoid the conflict if possible?

I doubt there would be any conflict. The only thing that would remain from your stock rom would be the latest bootloader ND3. It should practically be safe to switch to an older version as long as you follow steps for your rom, but it doesn't harm to make a nandroid just in case you want to switch back
Alrighty Ill try it out
