[Q] How to make sound output both from the back speaker AND the front earpiece? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I found that oneplus one and note users developed a mod that allows them to use both speakers to enhance the surround effect of music and videos.
I then found this app called "Earpiece" that allows you to switch between back speaker OR the earpiece.
Is there any way to get audio to come out from both speakers together without flashing custom firmwares?

[Q] Audio output with acoustic noise cancelling

Hello all, I've got a pair of noise cancelling earbuds (Audio-Technica ATH-ANC3, if it matters) that I've been using to listen to music all the while. With the One X I realise that when noise cancelling is on, a lot of static is introduced in the background. Switching it off makes the noise clean (but then I don't get to remove background noise)
I did a bit of testing and found that this affects only music (or radio) playback and that system sounds are not affected. Furthermore, enabling or disabling Beats audio will affect the texture of the noise. I've played back music using the stock Music app, PowerAmp as well as PlayerPro. Therefore, I am thus inclined to believe that the static is introduced somewhere in the audio pipeline. I've tried installing http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636914 with CWM to see if replacing the audio filters would do the trick... but it doesn't.
Any clues to remove all filters? I'm currently running a rooted stock 1.28/CWM.
Thanks for any help.
Oh, and if it helps, I tried plugging the same pair of earbuds into a HTC Sensation (the vanilla edition) running ICS and it doesn't have the problem.
Another thing I discovered: if I take the output of the phone, pipe it to my computer via Line In, then listen to the audio via my earphones with noise cancelling on, I don't get the static.
Perhaps there's some frequencies being generated by the phone that's not agreeable to the noise cancelling circuitry? Plugging it to my desktop would filter those frequencies?

[Q] Sound plays over headphones and speakers

Hello friends,
i just noticed when i have my headphone plugged in the notification and ringer sound plays over speaker AND headphone. The jack is fully pushed in. I would like to know if there's a possibility to turn this off, so only my headphones play the sound? I'm using CM11 Rom. I've read some custom roms have an option for this feature, but mine does not or i haven't found it yet.
Best regards

[Q] No stereo sound in video recording

A quick search on Google and sample videos on YouTube reveal that the G3 is capable of and should record video with stereo sound, and yet I was disappointed to find out that my new G3 D855 does not record stereo sound in video no matter what I try.
I am also not able to record stereo sound on its own, any app that claims to be able to record stereo sound does not do that. ("Sound & Voice Recorder" by NLL, for example)
I am running official LG firmware (v21a) and I have rooted it in an attempt to modify /etc/media_profiles.xml to fix the problem, to no avail. I have also tried custom camera apps such as XCam LG, but that didn't help either.
Thanks for any help troubleshooting this.
Even thought its capable in my opinion yes it has 2 mics but 1 is for noise cancelling technicly u cant record stereo without 2 mics again in my opinion u need both a left and right channel. It might be stereo quality but tru stereo should need two mics for 2 diffrent reffrence points on sound i may horribly wrong and someone please correct me if im wrong
The mics are placed at two different points - one at the bottom of the phone next to the headphone jack, and the other is on the top of the phone next to the IR blaster. In this video you can see that there are separate L and R channels and you can hear the direction of the sounds that were recorded https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRrVcgr3Ps8
See everyone every told me that the top mic was only for noise canceling

I tried this same thing to so thats the mono sound in videos
I guess this could be a possible solution:

Static-like clicking from plugged in headset microphone

Hey guys, I just got a new HTC 10 (stock, updated to Nougat). I like to use a Sennheiser Game Zero headset for when I make phone/skype calls, but the microphone records a rhythmic static-y clicking. It does pick up my microphone audio, but the clicking is there on top of it. It stops when I mute the headset microphone via it's flip-up mechanism, but resumes when the microphone is unmuted.
I've used this headset regularly with both my PC and my older HTC One (m7) without the issue. I've also tried using a pair of cheap earbuds with an in-line mic with the 10, and it doesn't seem to have that problem.
For reference, here is a brief recording of the sound, uploaded to OneDrive: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ai8_tx6LPas6h1-LZ0oNc-qBt9wP
If there's a better place to upload a FLAC recording that won't require outright downloading the file, I'll gladly re-upload it elsewhere for convenience.
Has anyone experienced this, or know what the cause/solution might be?

Mi6 voice recording quality

Hi, I don't know if you have noticed, but the Xiaomi Mi 6 with the original sound recorder app has an outstanding stereo sound quality (set on music and high bitrate), like an ASMR microphone. The problem is that it looks like this can be achieved only with that app; I've tried many other recorder apps but there's no stereo recording and no such a high-quality sound. I also think this is the most underrated characteristic of this flagship. Just to clarify, I put the headphones on my phone, matching the left and right channels with the respective microphones (one on the bottom, near the Type C and one on the top, near the infrared IF), I played a song and in the meanwhile I recorded it. This is the result:

And this is the original one:

(I hope not to have problems with copyrights or something; in that case, let me know about it)
Anyway, is there any way to have the same sound quality with a different ROM? I found the MIUI recorded .apk but for some reasons, it doesn't want to install. It would be a real shame if I lost this function.
Have you tried Sony's audio recorder? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonymobile.androidapp.audiorecorder
I'm using it on Pixel Experience 9, I set the quality to the highest, and it has great sound quality.
Yes, I tried it but the sound quality is way lower than the original app; also, if you select "stereo recording" there's not really a stereo sound because it will record the sound only using the microphone on the bottom of the phone.
