Edge 5x6 Launcher with Speed Options - Note Edge Themes and Apps

This is for KK. I will be working on a lollipop soon.
I know it isn't much, but I hate the stock screen grid, so I created a 5x6 launcher and apps grid. It seems to be working with all the widgets. Let me know if there is anything I missed. The home grid is 5x6, the app drawer is 5x6, and the folders are 4x5.
This should work on all roms that have twrp or cw. If you do not, but are rooted, take out the TouchWizHome.apk and put it into/system /priv-app/, delete the TouchWizHome.apk and TouchWizHome.odex(if you have it). Reboot and Profit.
I have made it so you will not have to do anything but flash the zip. You do not have to remove the odex file. If for some reason you do please let me know. All you should have to do is go into Settings, Application Manager, All Apps, TouchWizHome - Clear settings.
I have added the 5x6 regular speed, fast and insane. I've done the 4x5 Home Screen and 4x6 App Drawer that many have asked for. I did think it was kinda weird, so I made a 4x6 Home Screen and 4x6 App Drawer too.
If there is something I need to add to this please let me know, I was told I have issues explaining myself
Thanks Toss3 for the values to edit the launcher and SkywalkerZ for the values to edit for the speed.
If you like the post, please hit thanks

Thanks, I totally forgot to add that, LOL

Could you explain what this is? Is it an overlay for the stock TW launcher? Or is this a completely new launcher, similar to using Nova?

Next week I was going to look into doing the landscape view. I don't know about the vertical scrolling, but I'll look into it.

Sorry, wasn't notified you posted on here.
If you aren't on deoxed, you have to delete TouchwizHome.odex.
Otherwise You might have to wipe the settings on Touchwiz Home

Once I get the bugs worked out, I can. They have an xposed module..."Stock Launcher 5x4 Modification" Check that out first and let me know

thanks . working perfect

Will this work for other tw roms or just lab rats?

That module doesn't do anything to the note edge launcher.
I'm really just requesting the app drawer to be 4x6, if possible. The homescreen can stay the same, I like 4x5. [emoji1]

[Q] App drawer scrolling on touch wiz

Hi All!
I really love the new TouchWiz but one thing that is annoying is the scrolling on app drawer. it to much iphone and not so comfortable.
so I wonder, is there a way to change the app drawer so it will be scrolling down and has 3D like the stock android/adw?
Thank You!
Switching to an alternative launcher like ADW Launcher EX is probably the easiest solution.
Try the "Nexus"-preset & "Vertical new" for the app drawer!
I think you didn't understood me properly(or maybe I didn't explain myself clear):
I really like what samsung did with the TouchWiz 4. So I want to keep it.
I want just to change the AppDrawer to be vertical scrolling(prefer with 3d).
Is theres a way to do that?
Im used to app drawers with the apps sorted in alfabetic order.
Is there an easy way of doing this in TW4?

In the app drawer, hit menu and then 'List view'. A reboot will default to the original.
No 3d I'm afraid.

Request - Launcher 5X5, no search bar and 1 home screen for JB

I have looked and found many custom home screen launchers for JB, but none matching what I would like.
I am looking for a 5X5, no search bar and 1 home screen for JB. If someone could make this for me I would be thankful. Thanks in advance.

If someone can direct me how to remove the search bar in the xml file ill do it. I still havent figured out how to do it successfully.
And i agree, the stock launcher in JB is much smoother/nicer than nova/apex

I'm in touchwiz , I could get nova or apex.. but don't I loose features for doing that?
I could have sworn as well that there was a app that allowed scrolling wallpapers for touchwiz.

There is in the playstore. From the reviews dont think it was working to well. Just install Nova.....or Apex and try it out. If you dont like them you can just go back to using TW. I might be missing something but I dont think you lose anything by using one of those 3rd party launchers, but you will gain many customization options.

Given that this is modified, are we able to modify app drawer button placement, icons, icon sizes, etc?
Or is it strictly stock TW but with 5x5?

Stritctly stock TW at 5x5. He has variations, with rotation and app drawer size. I do prefer Nova, with all the gestures and icon customization's, but, thought I would give this a try. I will never understand why they went 4x4 on a screen this size.

Oh ok. I like the TW widgets (calendar, Action Memo), which aren't available when you use a different launcher, but I don't like the lack of customization. Oh well.
I have seclauncher4.apk, but I don't have seclauncher4.odex
I didn't have that odex either worked for me and all widgets work on cleanrom

How did you flashed this? Mine says failed and I've redownloaded.

Nice ... confirmed using the rotation version: " Desktop: 5x5 Menu App: 5x6 Choice of widgets: 2x3 (stock) Dock icon: to 6 " on HyperDrive RLS4...
Don't need any crazy launcher mods but I like this stock look with more columns and rows... and I need my landscape mode... This is smooth
Super dim with lux cuzz I'm lyin in bed
Would this work on the T-mobile Note 2 with 4.3 update?
It's worth a shot, just make sure you have a backup just in case. There is likely a variant for the Note 2 specifically, there were when I had the S3.

[Q] Resize widgets with stock launcher

Is there any way to resize any widget like CM does with the stock launcher w/Xposed and Gravitybox?
You can resize widgets without any app/hack/whatever on stock launcher on Android.
Just hold the widget and you should be able to resize it by puhing the sides or the top/bottom frames.

That's a negative.
For example, the Pandora widget can be stretched the full width of the screen in CM. I can't do it on the stock launcher.
I'm running 4.4.2 btw.

Yes. The latest version of Gravity Box allows you to resize ANY widget. I've done this with a couple (like sound search widget) that can't normally be resized. :victory:
In the future, please post questions in the Q&A forum. :good:

By looking at the colors of your icons on top, I take it you don't have KitKat on your N7? Maybe Android 4.3? If so, it looks like you have the wrong version of Gravity Box. You need the one with JB at the end (for Jelly Bean) and not the one with KK (for KitKat). That could be why. I'm on 4.4.2 on my N5 and N7, and both have Launcher Tweaks under where it says Media Tweaks.

Oh. My bad. I kind of thought that could've been the case, but just wanted to make sure. That's weird because mine has it. Are you running the "Google Experience Launcher" (or I guess now known as "Google Home Launcher")? I've attached the screenshot of what mine looks like.

Oh. My bad. I always think of the Google Now Launcher as the stock launcher since it's stock on my N5, and also installed on my N7. I think it may only work with the Google Now Launcher. I would think that it would still give you the option to change it, and just not change anything if it weren't compatible. Sorry. I feel like I foolishly got your hopes up. You should give the Google Now Launcher a try. It works perfectly on the N7.

Most widgets you can re size but there are still a lot you can't and would need some sort of launcher like nova to resize everything
