Hi all
Some Sony SmartWatch 2 users have reported that they have just received an update to their Smartwatch 2 which has added new features but unfortunately caused custom watchfaces to display incorrect times and fail to display dates. I haven't yet been able to verify these issues but will endeavour to do so later tonight. In the meantime I've reached out to Sony for support on the issue and will keep you updated on the issue.

So has Sony given an ETA for the fix yet? Nothing new on facebook.
I'm really not happy with Sony after the .157 FW update for the Z1 earlier this month. Had to wait months longer, as I have UK SIM-free, than rest of the world, they got .118 and .133 updates in the mean time. And when the .157 update arrives it introduces more issues than it fixed. And now this.
After they chose to not update SP to 5.0, despite the HW being fine, I was very upset. But having been kicked twice in a single month, I'm not going to be buying any more Sony devices for a while, at least. Very disappointed.

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't been able to test this yet as my SmartWatch 2 is at home. I'll have to try it tonight.

Ofcourse sony is working for Xperia S... They released it because we want to close our mouths...
It was just my 2 cents on those who thought Sony is over with XS... I was sure that Sony will make this update nice and smooth. Better late than never

Already Jellybean update is rolling out for Xperia S. .200 firmware.. And this update .211 will come this month i think..
Let's see if we'll get the bugfixes until next week

I've been reading this forum lately and I noticed that C2004/5 users got updated to 4.2.2 but I am still at 4.1.2. I suppose it is compatible with my C1905 and if so why didn't Sony push the update? Also is it worth flashing it or should I wait for CM portç

While KitKat will be released in a month or two?
From what I've read yes the M will get kitkat but wont be till mid/late 2014

Kitkat is miles away as far as our phone is concerned and there's been no official announcement as of yet.. The one you are referring to in Q1 in 2014 is an android 4.3 update for Xperia M.. I doubt if Sony will release an official 4.2.2 for single sim.. There were talks afloat that it'll directly upgrade to 4.3

If you have a Nexus, sure, you get any new Android versions the day it is released itself. But on the other hand, if you have devices from Samsung or other Original Equipment Manufacturers, then they will first have to skin that particular Android version before they release it for your device.
Skinning is often a tedious job, and making things creative in the new Android version will take some time. This is why we are getting 4.3 Jelly Bean in the first quarter of the coming year for M.
Since KitKat has done away with fragmentation, it has the potential to even run on older devices (devices released after mid to late 2012). The Xperia M is sure to get a KitKat update, but that will be a long time in coming. It's pretty obvious that we will get CyanogenMod or its derivatives or AOSP and its derivatives long before the official one.

Yes you would lose root... Not a big deal if you're UB... more of a pain if you're LB...

yea ..maybe ...but with the z1 release i saw that many regions got the update more or less within 2 days

I'm going super mad about this update. Been checking Xperia blog, xda and various channels every now and then. I hope Sony do roll out update soon for zl and tablet z by end of the week.

But Sony is not BlackBerry. One is a worldwide giant, the other in oxygen support literally. Sony has never done the mistake of BlackBerry. I own a BlackBerry playbook and guess what? Is a dead device, no future upgrade or patches and BlackBerry does not have plans in releasing another tablet.

Hey guys.., according to Vodafone Australian community, maintenance release 2 for Xperia m will be released on or before 7th of July for phones bought through them. For other people, they have to wait till PTCRB approves new build number for this update

It ll be before 10th of next month for sure.. ,because in the last update it happened like that only I.e india got update after one month of vodafone Australia release

We are also waiting for the update to fix the volume bar bug and fast battery draining...
Did u try factory reset after the last update., bcos after the factory reset, the battery draining was reduced little bit....

I personally don't like these small updates. Why Sony keeps releasing a lot of small updates to an outdated version of Android instead of focusing giving us KitKat, which our phone is more than capable of running?
Take a look at Xperia L, for example, that phone is identical to ours (the only difference being internal memory and main camera) and was released with Android 4.1. They got a major update to Android 4.2.2 and now all they get are a lot of small updates and nothing more. I mean, Xperia L is veeeery similar to Xperia M, so why they didn't get an official 4.3 or 4.4 update too?
If this history of updates repeats with Xperia M, we'll be stuck in Android 4.3 forever. Sony will keep releasing small updates to us instead of bringing new versions of Android and when our phone support ends we will depend only of custom ROMs, not to mention Xperia M dual users (like me) that need to choose between having second SIM functionality or using a custom ROM to get KitKat

I agree with you bro..., Sony is just irritating the user with these small updates and even those updates aren't checked properly before they are released., those updates are released to fix a bug, they do fix it but the problem is that they are creating a new bug..
And bro I read somewhere that xperia m both single and dual won't receive Kitkat, and it seems that we ll be stuck with 4.3 forever unless we use unofficial roms.. I think that this ll be the case for all the Sony midrange phones....
I am a great fan of Sony, but now I am starting to hate it...

Yeah I heard abt that from one of my frd.. But I don't want to do that cos we are almost close for the next update.. Waiting is nothing wrong ..
It seems that the next update after QMR2 for xperia m ll take a long time ( usually it takes long time) I mean much longer cos there is no info regarding the future updates from Vodafone Australia
The build number to the firmware is 15.4.A.1.9, a firmware what has already been released.

This post isn't about 15.4.A.1.9 cos it's old news
. This is abt the next update which xperia m is gonna get next month.. Still the build number for the next update has not been released as the update is yet to be certified by PTCRB

It's so sad that, still thr is no official info abt the release of the update
